What a week it was. The Shaahi Saptah! Actually i had begun to change my opinion on tele serials. (The fool i was- 😭) i rushed to see the first 30 episodes i had missed. By the end of the Shaahi Saptah i was as devoted to JA as i was to the hp series that i had begun to read quite late.
The posts will help us all relive those lovely episodes but also contrast the dilution in standards these days. The dashing ultra smart yet fair inded rake reduced to a junglee bearded buddhuram and a puppy. The fiery brave princess reduced to a ever-right bhaashan devi. The charming hatke script reduced to sbs crap. There were little snippets that added to the charm and dimensions of the story.

Adham Khan eyeing the baandhies with a stupid smile in the mandap and Shariffu giving an amused shrug and maham a glaring stare.

The fat man relieved that the Shahenshah has forgiven him.

During the shart, the entire audience on both side sit only after the Shahenshah has taken his seat. The moment he gets up enraged at her words, the whole lot are on their feet. They sit after he sits down and are up again when he takes leave. Now, that is Shahenshah-e-Hind. I don't even recognize him now.😭

The sundries and little aspects too were interesting and made viewing a pleasure.

Thanks for the posts once again aunty.

Thank you so much, my dear. Do read it when you have a bit of free time. The delay hardly matters, as the material is 2 years old!

Oh ho Sandhya - He has been dead for long and gone. I am so enraged by this latest spice trade non-sense. It is a great relief that CVs have not gone on proving that she invented or grew these spices for the first time in India. From her experience of growing them in the desert region of Rajastan. Small mercies !!! 😆😆

And I do not have words to describe how gratified I feel when I reads comments like yours, my dear Donjas. Truth to tell, I knew you would be especially interested in these episodes, and I was a tad nervous about how far the post would meet your expectations. I am now reassured!

I plan to stop the series at the point where the downslide started, around Episode 250.

I don't have words to describe the intense pleasure I got from reading series 3. This was my favorite set of episodes and I had a certain opinion of them. To see it through the eyes of Shyamala was a revelation. The explanation of motives, gestures and feelings is a an experience to savor.

Of particular delight to me was the analysis of my favorite episode of Jodha Akbar, the 'shart'.

It is also evident to me after reading this set that maybe it is just as well that JA has ended now, the contrast between the JA of those times and now is too stark, in an unfavorable way and that contrast would have grown with time.

You are absolutely right all thru, my pet, but what can one do? My prescription is to re-relish these episodes and forget those that come after the point at which I intend to stop, around Episode 250.

I agree with you about all those little snippets like those you have mentioned adding flavour and spice to the episodes. But for that you have to go to the full post. As this series is only about Jalal, I have had to edit out some delightful stuff,

🤣

How much ever we try to steer clear of the present day abyss and condition our mindset to focus on the pleasurable past, somehow this puppy plus devisa image creeps in na?😆 i couldn't get over today's episode when i put up the post.

No no.

Lets forget the present caricatures.🤢 And go back to the charming couple they were. 😳And the magical splash of dash and attitude Jalal was.

Just came to know the show is ending.I am coming back here after several months. All the good things have to come to an end , nah.Once upon a time this show was very addictive, but it's lost momentum afterwards. Regardless , I never regret watching this show or being active on the forum b/c i got to meet the most wonderful people here. To you all who still remember me and have interacted with me, thank you for a great time.🤗Being active here I met some people whom I will always cherish forever. I wish you guys all the luck and love. :)
