Salim's greatest weakness has been his inability to express his innermost feelings with any one. He feels let down by Murad. He feels that his father played with his emotions and favored Murad.

In today's situation, I feel that Murad should not have addressed Anarkali as a 'kaneez' too. After all Murad and Salim are more like buddies and less like brothers. Murad very well knows that Salim is hopelessly in love with Anarkali. Where was the need to provoke him? There was no need for Salim to reciprocate with a physical assault either. Fault lies with both of them.

I was also wondering why the otherwise humble Murad was being shown offended with his newly acquired title of Shah Shah being disrespected by Salim. If he is so worried about that position being disrespected, then in the same vein he should not have addressed Anarkali as a 'kaneez' and provoked Salim. The manner and tone of voice that he used to address Anarkali as a 'kaneez' was degrading to not only Anarkali but any other 'kaneez' too. He as the newly anointed Shah Shah should have conducted himself with the dignity befitting that title and been respectful towards the 'kaneez' who are a part of the mahal staff and the awaam too.

Murad attacked Salim with the equation and freedom existing between brothers. Salim reciprocated in anger, with a slap. Suddenly the 'audha' factor factor has cropped up.

Pathetic, inconsistent natakiya roopantar.

Had Jalal communicated his decision to crown Murad as the heir apparent with Salim, ahead of the coronation, this nauseating situation would never have happened.

I wish to see a strong mother in Jodha who deals with this situation fearlessly and sensitively. Not a worried, tearful Jodha. This fiery queen has it in her to change Salim. As per the NR, if she could bring about positive changes in the once heartless Jalal, she can definitely bring calmness and self confidence in Salim, after all she is his mother.

@bold: Oops Charu, Forgot that Murad knew that Salim Loves Anar part. Good point indeed.

As u said earlier communication is the problem every where..Regarding Jodha I agree if we could the stronger side as well but unfortunately we are only seeing the worrying side of Jodha.😭. In fact all are at fault. How I wish Salim could open up to his grand mother at least.

Now since the kaniz word came out, can we at least expect JJ to look into this or as usual they will forget about it..

Anytime they touch on 'family dynamics track the writers disappoint me 🥱

IF after coming back to the family' after his training as a warrior Jalal had taken the pains to make Salim understood the "Kingship responsibilities" and have put him through some form of one on one mentoring through some episodes then this crisis arise and he is trying to solve the problem in a tricky' way so Salim might learn later and decide to hide this I will not be upset with his methods towards his son. Here the writers sucks big time. As a viewer I could then say that after all the investment done by Jalal as a King and a Father to bring out the best in Salim he has failed to live up to the expectations.

However the Scenario painted by the writers is different and therefore both Jodha and Jalal sucks as father and mother and their son sucks as a son period (dysfunctional family in the name of drama).

His training as a warrior was not even done by Jalal but by Man Sigh and since he came back all the writers have shown is nonessential issues that has not involve son and father mentoring! What has their character Jalal invested in his son so far apart from shouting, hiding things from him with the notion of protecting him(how will he learn to deal with complicated situations when everything should be hidden from him (who at all writers this kind of meaningless crap that only raise bp) and slapping him for supposedly taken afeem which at the end Jalal was made a fool too. Seriously! 😕

Up till now the "all knowing, all smart, all powerful, all teda, all loving, all sharp perceiving King" has not yet realize that what happen years back has put a stain on his son's perception of him as a father and does not understand that his behavior is retaliation only nor does his many informants in the palace able to tell him that his son is seeing a royal dancer or in love with her nor he is a drug addict instead of solving this old track they leave them hanging and bring in more nonsense. (now if that is not stupidity of the writers in building they character Jalal's image I don't know what it is anymore).

This formula of character Jalal creating his own troubles with his own intelligent' decisions my f..t and then later characrter Jodha bears the heat of it despite her putting in her suggestions as a mother, wife etc is becoming very, very boring and annoying. It is time for the writers to think out of this box.😡

I wonder whether there are specialties among them freaks because it looks like only one person writes for positive (sweet) tracks so it is limited.

We are on the same page in our views about Jodha and Jalal as parents.

The Creatives and production house were desperate to make a leap, however failed to portray Jalal and Jodha's roles as sensible parents especially after Salim grew up to be eight years old and now as an adult.

Right since childhood both the viewers and Salim have only seen a shehenshah who is ready to mete out punishment for Salim's mistakes. Have we ever seen Jalal trying to see things from Salim's perspective? NO. Did Salim even understand why he was sent to serve the old lady as a form of punishment and learning to be more responsible and accountable? NO. Once he returned from the battlefield after training to be an able warrior, did we see Jalal acknowledging his learnings, and ,making an attempt to bond with his son after so many years of separation? NO.

Instead every time Salim erred and got into fresh trouble with Jalal, and Jodha tried to gently warn Jalal of impending counter reaction if he dealt with him severely, Jodha's advise was also ignored. We have never seen a strong mother in Jodha, why? As a mother Jodha is always shown crying, first at the loss of the babies, then crying for being separated from the child Salim and now crying worried at his behavior and the distance between him and his father. What on earth have the Creatives done to Jalal and Jodha as parents? Is this any way to depict the stormy relationship between them and Salim?

Jalal's shrewd eyes sees everything but his son's pain. The revelation that Salim is an afeem addict came in a trifle too late with the supplier 😡 of the dreaded drug still being left unexposed and living right under his nose, worst still plotting more damage to Salim.

Where is the fiery queen Jodha who turned a jallad to a loving Jalal, who brought about numerous changes within the mahal, Why has she been rendered incapable of handling her own child?

Pathetic NR at its best.

Salim being the Oldest Son is very Straight forward, very sensitive. This is my thoughts.Younger siblings look up on their oldest and learn traits in how to deal with Parents and others. As Parents, Salim was the first born of JJ and naturally Parents are very over protective with the Oldest and want that son to be like them. With first born, they are learning, experimenting and make mistakes. With their second child they are already experienced and know the dos and donts and hence I feel they are more relaxed and lineant and become better parents.

Exactly Sindhu, both Jodha and Jalal know so little about the woes of Salim leaving in the same palace now this is the inconsistence that is getting on my nerves.

Wasn't Jodha supposedly have put Moti Bai on Salim stride to know what is going on with him emotionally? So all this while hasn't Moti Bai found out about the equation of Salim and Anar?

All of a sudden the writers caught that story off and brought in the God's track now that they are back to it in a different way they need to stop been lazy and refer to the earlier notes and patch things up well.This shabby work is pitiful.

this whole thing we always see like we want to see Salim as an ideal son coz we love AkDha and as per our Indian culture we have our mindset abt how a son should be...

most surprising thing is, Akbar himself have suffered the pain of a kid who had to stay away from his parents, and still he gave salim same pain... how much that is justified?

and plz, don't think, i m taking salim's side... that I will never do...but still...

and in this I feel bad for Jo... a Mallika wins, a wife understands, but a mother fails, and that too when she always wants to be there with her son... and that pain is something, that will never heal...

Infact jalal looked very selfish incase of salim.today he said even if Salim gets distanced from him it Wudnt bother him.y bcz he has other sons n daughters wer as jo has only one son?wil he ever say that if he had only salim as his son?
The reason jalal sent salim away for seven years was he told jo that he wil b nxt King so he has to b heartless sipaahi n so he is sending salim n jodha waited for his son seven years.
Today jalal also said salim dint win war with Mirza hakim there were others also.wat was that ? Wen did jalal win war without anyone help? Previously bairamkhan was there with him n then maansing todarmal rahim were there to help him n now along with them abulfazl mirza koka were there.jalal also won wars with all these ppl then y all Jai Jai to jalal?according to jalal it shid b eveyone win.
Now salim anger n alcoholism made jalal to think that salim Dnt fit to b King.its right decision of jalal at present.when murad daniyal dies historically wat wil jalal do? Our serial jalal shudnt giv shaheshah to salim at that time also.though he lost sons if he wants bhalayi of sultanat then he shud think to make rahim as nxt King.
