Akbar was the invincible and jodha just his shadow who even might have had some influence but what about his far sightedness and him being visionary..tell jodha to do such marg darshan for adham khan and see how far he gets as far as conquering hindustan and awaam dil is concerned😆

mandy - you do not know enough - Adham Khan would have committed suicide saving Akbar the trouble of pushing him over balcony. 😆

I think if we really want to see how historical should actually be made I think u must watch sanjay khan's great marathas. U can watch it on YouTube. it was even better than his tipu sultan. the way history was shown there is mind blowing. nd shahbaaz khan aka bairam khan of MP was really a treat to watch as mahatji sindhia. Also seasoned actors like farida jalal, Mukesh khanna, mrinal kulkarni were just fab.

Someone had said CGM was good. So seeing it, but today oh no! came the mahaan heroine preaching ahimsa to CG. I was like you know what :(. Why are these CVs insisting on making the heroines stupid. Without knowing the reason or understanding they start giving senseless lectures. This one also says the even Greeks should not be killed as they are human, when CG saved her from the very same Greek. why sands, just why should it be so always? Are women that foolish? Can't one serial show them in good light? I had to vent it out to you. Thanks for your PM. It was right on time - I just watched that stupid episode.

You can try Mahakumbh (it is a limited 120 episode serial and already 65 are over). It has no heroine...well, there is one lovey dovey heroine but she is in coma and will wake up only in the final leg I suppose.😆 The other women are smart. Absense of mahaan madams is one of the main reasons I watch the show.🤣

Look at how much we like heroines. I was so glad when the heroine in CGM was limited to only to couple of episodes for few mts and when they killed her I was happy. See, I have become so evil!!!!

To me of the historical shows watched so far, Ajabde of current MP track is much better - they show her with some sense, to that extent when our hero gets drowned in prem and ahimsa she pulls him out.

Mahakumbh- thanks for your kind pointer. Maddy also had suggested, but am not a TV or movie buff. Only here for historical shows but here again I am getting thrown out again and again by the CVs.

Sands, I would still suggest Doordarshan Chanakya, its quite refreshing after seeing all the ongoing serials- that is my all time favorite so far, followed by CGM now. In CGM, though some compromise here and there, they have not made CG or Chanakya a buddhus. For that matter even enemies are shown intelligent. It's well balanced that way (unlike even DD Chanakya where other characters portrayal were not upto the mark. Like here CG shown only to wage war, not use his brains anywhere. CGM also includes a lot of Chanakya neeti unlike the current CAS HELENA NEETI!!! CGM has good khels played by both parties- no kitchen politics at all! A show is enjoyable when all characters are balanced, importantly shown sensible and not given bhalidhan to project any other character.
