Abhay was reading Smith's book and i m midway reading it..the shah mansoor MH part and active involvement of TDand MS is also mentioned. ..there are traces of history i even read akbar hitting MS but in his younger years...but anything to do with jodha and her relation with akbar is all fiction as it is not mentioned in any history book. ..and also the focus in the show is on jodha's glorification and not Akbar's as the masses will not accept glorification of a muslim ruler hence the credit to his first hindu consort...anyway nothing against the real HK she must have been a gem of a person but would have loved to watch the real Akbar and the reality in the show...anyway u all enjoy and take care!
Mandy,
Certain things need to seen and read between the Lines.
Read between the line for Jodha Akbar relationship Some Links:Facts-about-akbar-and-mariam-uz-zamaniMariam-uz-zamani^^^^The testimony about Jodha in this post is by a Muslim and a British Officer of Bengal Army.
Akbar-visit-to-AjmerHence, I strongly do not believe that the issue is of a Hindu or a Muslim here. The Deputy Director of Historical Archives of India was ALSO a MUSLIM. Yet he mentioned something about Hindu consorts of Akbar in his book. His book is referenced from Badayuni's accounts. Read here since i can not mention history in forum thread, that old rule is still applicable i think.. Link:

Lastly, i would say
each to his own, but if i talk of myself, i believe beyond doubt about Akbar and MUZ. :)
One will get if want to search on them.About the present track, yes this is inspired from history as i have been saying from Day-1.
With the own NR's in process for entertainment purpose. Good you are reading, you must have seen it now yourself.
Siyasat is the Natkiya Rupanter only. The depiction is ROYAL there which is good, but what do i see there - No Hamida, No Salima, No Jodha, No one, i see only his one wife - Ruqs is present as if rest others did not even exist. Best Akbar was the one in Nur Jahan serial of DD. I loved the portrayal to the core. Though, even there it was Jodha. ;)
Akbar is not such a person whose persona can EVER be eclipsed by his Queen.
I loved this beautiful post by Radhika.
