Radhika,

There is no MU at all about the intent of this thread.

I wrote that part only to highlight the continuous efforts made by some members who religiously wanted the story to shift back to JA and NOT SA. Since that is happening, hence i wrote this. :))

I perfectly agree with your views, but i don't think there would be any expose of Ruqs. :))
The thing which CV's can do is --> Reconcile Salim with his mother(MUZ). And show him respecting her. Even that is enough.!

But i hope what you say happens. :-P

Here is the Link of one the comments which talks of Polygamy , which i mentioned in above comment--> Click Here TO READ

1. Akbar is shown to be too naive so as to not understand whether his son has taken afeem of not. REAL one was not so like this. He ran the entire Hindustan sitting in Agra.!

2. Again Ruqs being the most clever person, gets Hakima mis guide every one.

3. This Salim is shown as such a brain less person, he can not understand what is right and what is wrong? How can a person who gives you afeem be your well wisher.?. On the other hand he hates his parents who have always tried and worked for the best of his interests.

4. Such a lopsided characterisation has been done for Salim that anyone will dislike him. At least in a society like ours, where parents are still respected so much, how can the majority of audience enjoy a person who insults his parents every now and then.?. How can he be a HERO ? Even Anarkali makes sense, compared to Salim. !!

5. Jodha and Ruqayya.

Their relation is beyond my understanding.. 🥱 CV's have portrayed Jodha as some one who can be bettered at every stage by Ruqs. One more thing is that, if the makers can not give a message by punishing the evil, they should not turn anyone into a vamp also. Ruqaya should have remained a grey character only. Now she is very much intolerable.!

MUZ ran international trade in 16th Century, if AKbar controlled the entire Hindustan. Why cant our leads be sensible.? If REAL MUZ was like this, then How can she handle so many responsibilities.!

Let us ignore the characterization of the leads for now. Too much has been said already. May be at least now the makers wake up and smell the coffee. And give us better characterization and situations inspired by history.

As long as Ruq is still around, there can be no growth in the character of Jodha. She will always remain servile to Ruq for some mysterious reason. Once Ruq is punished, Akbar and Jodha and everyone else can grow more naturally and show their true colors. Right now, Ruq is like a dark cloud that is not letting the sun shine thru.

One incident related to life of Hamida Bano Begum.....(I will post details on sticky thread later with references, as we should not discuss it here..)

When AKbar was 6 years old, he had toothache, his stepmother Haji Begum brought the medicine, but Akbar's own mother Hamida Bano Begum, did not like this.

According to Akbar, HB was worried that the medicine might turn out to be poison. Despite the fact that, Haji was a senior begum of Humayun. 😕 HB did not want to offend Haji Begum, neither she wanted Akbar to take that medicine, hence she told Akbar to immediately go to his room. But the child Akbar was not ready to go and he stayed there only despite HB telling him. A drama followed, and in the end, finally when Haji Begum tasted the medicine herself and made HB satisfied, then only she was allowed to give that medicine to Akbar.

^^^^And now, Compare the case with Ruqayya Begum and Jodha and Salim. Mothers are fiercely protective even in polygamous societies, but our CV's have no sense at all. 🥱

Here we had Jodha thrusting the new born Salim into Ruq's hands and telling her that she would always be Mom No. 1 to him. What protectiveness? And Jalal in spite of KNOWING everything simply stood by and watched!! The real characters were very particular about their children's problems even after they had grown up and tried every way possible to bring them round. The reel characters are completely oblivious even to the fact that their kid doesn't love them!

One incident about Jodha and Salim.

Salim notes when he was very young and a kid, his mother and her servants gave her medicine, in consultation with his father. Such small incidents which a person records, are PROOF of the fact that , he loved his parents ..

^^^Compare this with REEL Salim of Jodha Akbar. 😕

Let's not go into the details of the medicine. 😊 But there are more references to MUZ in JN than to Ruq (if at all), which are enough to show how much he loved and respected his mother.

CV's do not know how such relations work. I Wanted to share something about polygamy also...

On my blog it self, i have got comments from members from Indonesia and Balkans(Middle East) about polygamy. Many have expressed their views, some have even written about their OWN Family where polygamy persisted till a generation back. Their father had wives, but what they all wrote was -> One of the wife was special , while drawing a parallel with the story of Akbar and MUZ. Recently, a comment was there from a lady who was from > Klungkung regency royal family in Bali, Indonesia about polygamy, was on same lines. The people from those areas, are pretty much more open to the concept of polygamy, and i enjoy interaction with them..

Even some African countries have polygamy practising communities. If we look at Hindu rulers also, it is natural that a king with many wives has ONE favorite wife among them.

BTW, I am surprised to see that Jodha Akbar is VERY popular in Indonesia and the Middle East, lots of comments come from those areas.

JA in Indonesia is still trailing behind and they have not yet come to the post leap tracks. No wonder they still enjoy the show.

About the Forum

I am here, i have always enjoyed writing about Jodha Akbar. In fact, this is a unique story, and we are blessed to have such leads who can create magic even with the worst of the script. Hope more members come back, just if anyone watches the episodes once will get a signal that things are improving..!! The members will come back slowly, and if not this time, by next time, TRP's should rise because of RT and PS's presence, add to this no Ruqs plotting , and less of SANAR, it makes the present track worth watching.

Agree. 😊

But I always long for something more. I cannot sit by and watch while a vamp goes around without getting punished. It sends the wrong message to impressionable minds. It is not merely enough to show "no Ruqs plotting". She has to be shown to be punished for the suffering she has caused to her own family. May be in a future track. But a prime time show has this responsibility towards its viewers.

Meanwhile let's keep watching the show to show our support to JA / RTPS. 😊

(specially Ekta...now u will say tat this is historical show n need to b based on reality but i will say tat b realistic it is more of Ekta's show rather than historical...)

My dear, thanks for liking the post. 😊 Let it be Ekta's show. No issues. But Ekta should know that people get bored of seeing the same villain for a long time, esp one who is so sadistic. There is no dearth of villains. There is Mirza Hakim, and many of the nobles at Akbar's court. Akbar also faced revolts and rebellions from almost every quarter. So why rely only on one vamp?

why i dont think Ruq will nvere b punished...

1. Jalal gave custody of Khurrum(shahjan) to Ruq ..when ruq asked for him..

.( after Khurrum birth..one astologer told jalal that this boy's kudali is as same as timur the founder of mughal sultant...so this child will b next empror ...so as usual Ruq asked for his custody becoa Ruq always wanted to raise empror n b MUZ..) so jalal gave her Khurrum.

2. Before Akbar's death only Ruq n Salima was their to convive jalal to annouce salim as next empror...n forgive salim for his past deeds...so jalal did...neither he has any choice bcoz murad n daniyal was dead...i dont understand why jalal dint annoced Khurrum as next shahenshaha...may b due to Baba Salim saikh prophecy tat salim will b nextin line aftter akbar

3. During akbar's last moment Ruq was near him...but i dint get i why Ruq's final resting place was kabul n not near Akbar whwer as Muz 's was near Akbar.

All in all i can assure u that cv's will never punished Ruq...i m not being negative...i m just being realistic...

I can answer each point you have raised here but as you know, historical discussions are not allowed here. If you wish, we can discuss this on the sticky.
In any case, I am only asking for punishment of the reel Ruq. She has been shown to do much evil and she has to be shown being punished for that. There is no link to the real Ruq here. So we can easily leave her out of the present discussion.

But i hope cv's listen to ur prayer n exposed Ruq... i will b happy too...it reallly kills me o see her smikrking all d time...

Thanks so much for your support. Not just you and me, but lakhs of viewers will be happy to see the reel Ruq get her due punishment.

Swara

Good to see you too 🤗

Just because a thief has not been seen in 2 days doesn't mean the police will forget about him. A top of the charts primetime show is responsible for what it shows and it has to show that those who do evil can never win.

Thankfully 😊

Similarly there are those who deeply want Ruq punished and out of the picture. It has to happen for their sake. 😊

No, how can this be enough? A villain in ANY story has to be punished. Otherwise what are we teaching our kids??? 😕

But i hope what you say happens. :-P

TFS! I had read this comment and others too on blog and some here too on forum. Very difficult to understand how they could accept it all so easily. I guess it's all about cultural grooming. Am glad we don't have so much polygamy in Indian society. 😊
