Better late than never. The makers of JA seem to have realized this and started showing a track that focuses on JA AND deals with actual political developments dramatized adequately. đ
Fans are coming back, discussions on forum are picking up and possibly TRPs are rising again.
But I guess the makers are still not ready to go the whole length - they are still holding back the trump card that can make the TRPs skyrocket and bring back the old magical hold of the show over countless viewers.
Just what may this trump card be?
The makers have taken quite a few steps to revive the dying show.
Bringing the focus back on the leads was the 1st step.
Basing tracks on real events the 2nd step.
Pushing the Sanar love story into the background the 3rd step.
But till the 4th and crucial step is not executed, viewers will still keep dithering and many will still stay away.
Do I really need to spell out what this last step / the trump card is? Most of you would have already spelt it out to yourselves by now: đ Yes, it's about

Let us remember that viewers started getting disgusted with JA because of this lady's ascendancy and her demonic grip on the lives of Akbar, Jodha and Salim.
Most of us still shudder at the way she accused Jodha of killing her own twins while Jalal did nothing. Sorry, he did do something - he believed Ruq and turned his back to Jodha when she NEEDED him the most.
Most of us cannot digest that she stole Salim from Jodha and created an insurmountable chasm between a mother and her son, born to her after much prayers. Every time Salim calls Ruq ammijaan and Jodha as MUZ, it's as if a knife is piercing my heart.
Most of us cannot believe that she turned a mere child who trusted her as his mother into a drug addict AND got away with it. That child is now a teenager (?) and still his parents are unaware (HOW???) of his addiction and the person who ruined his / their lives.
Most of all, most of us cannot believe that she is constantly scheming with a horrible smirk on her face and a hukkah in her mouth. She gets away with everything every time and the persons who are the most affected by her vile designs are the ones who STILL trust her the most - Jodha, Jalal and Salim. We have grown up hearing good wins over evil. It's impossible for us to accept that even in this Kalyug, evil can keep winning over good so easily.
There are many viewers who love JA so much that they are willing to overlook her and watch the show just to see their favorite couple in action on screen. But there are also those viewers who love JA equally but are emotionally unable to overlook Ruq and are painfully staying away from the show because of their very human aversion to a not so human vamp.
This show is for everyone, not any particular category of viewers. Makers have taken care of the first category of viewers. It's high time they take care to bring the second category of viewers too back to the fold by letting go of their obsession with negativity and actually show Ruqaiyya being punished or meeting her nemesis.
Every viewer counts and every viewer contributes to TRPs. More importantly, every message conveyed by a show counts. What is the message Ekta Kapoor wants to send out to us - the triumph of evil over goodness or that evil can never vanquish goodness?
Time and future episodes alone will tell.
