Nice to see your thread back on the forum. Surely, this track is bringing many of the earlier REGULARS to this place again. :)

Yes recent episodes have been a treat to watch. The focus is completely on JA. NO Ruqs at all.. And not too much SANAR.

The makers should READ THE WRITING ON THE WALL, this show can NOT be run by their NEW JODI SANAR, no one can create that magic as done by Rajat Tokas and PS...

I can not tell you, how much efforts the people on Twitter and FB have put in for this... Continuously, writing to CV's on both the platforms...

Ruqs may not be exposed, i have had enough of her now. There is a limit to scheming and plotting, but Ruqs case seems never ending.. Only thing by which this can be rectified is that -> They should show Salim understanding Jodha and acknowledging her as his mother. It boils my blood to see the REAL Salim's respect for his mother and his annoying REEL Salim. 😡

Coming to show, i am ready to ignore Ruqs to an extent. Provided we keep getting some POLITICS at least and REALITY based dramatized tracks..

I always enjoy when ever they show us anything which i have read in any form in any of the texts.
Recent track is one such track. See, we can "predict" before hand and we all know what this track will lead to and where the show is heading.. In such cases, we tend to enjoy the show even more..Isn't it ?

This track is going to be a long one, and there are many more twists and turns which are going to come. The quality is improving if you compare it with the episodes of January and December. 😕

Overall, the bottomline is i want the TRP's to rise this time, makers are trying hard to give as much screen space to Jodha and AKbar, perhaps they also want to see if this show can be saved.. I dont want this attempt to fail because that would mean the neglect of effort of RT and PS and that may lead to SA getting back to centre stage which i strongly detest.!

This track is also important because, here the Navratans are also getting the space, some thing which we always demanded.. ->
1. Man Singh
2. TodarMal
3. Abul Fazl
4. Birbal

Jodha is also shown here, it looks like an attempt at re-balancing the show..
Lets support them one last time.. At least this track has a lot of potential. :)))

Well said Abhay. At least in this track everyone seems to have some scree space..phew..also the best is No ruks for 2 days plus 2 to 3 mins of Sanar. I can tolerate this as long as JJ are shown as leads.

@bold: not only u, but I also get so irritated and worked with Reel salim for his behavior with his Parents..The more frustrating is to watch him call Ruks as ammijaan, who fed him opium. Can anything be worse than this...

Another mistake was Salim Anarkali love story ? When viewers are here to watch Jodha Akbar love story why did they bring the leap ? Now that cannot be rectified anyways..and again sorry to say but I think bad choice of actors .. How can any pair recreate the magic that Paridhi and Rajat have recreated as Jodha and Akbar?? No one stands a chance.. not atleast the current Salim and Anarkali...

Again though Rajat looks good in a stubble but real Akbar never had one I suppose ... Here Rajat looks more like Jesus Christ personified (no offence to anyone please..just my opinion) .

1. Akbar is shown to be too naive so as to not understand whether his son has taken afeem of not. REAL one was not so like this. He ran the entire Hindustan sitting in Agra.!


2. Again Ruqs being the most clever person, gets Hakima mis guide every one.


3. This Salim is shown as such a brain less person, he can not understand what is right and what is wrong? How can a person who gives you afeem be your well wisher.?. On the other hand he hates his parents who have always tried and worked for the best of his interests.


4. Such a lopsided characterisation has been done for Salim that anyone will dislike him. At least in a society like ours, where parents are still respected so much, how can the majority of audience enjoy a person who insults his parents every now and then.?. How can he be a HERO ? Even Anarkali makes sense, compared to Salim. !!


5. Jodha and Ruqayya.

Their relation is beyond my understanding.. 🥱 CV's have portrayed Jodha as some one who can be bettered at every stage by Ruqs. One more thing is that, if the makers can not give a message by punishing the evil, they should not turn anyone into a vamp also. Ruqaya should have remained a grey character only. Now she is very much intolerable.!

MUZ ran international trade in 16th Century, if AKbar controlled the entire Hindustan. Why cant our leads be sensible.? If REAL MUZ was like this, then How can she handle so many responsibilities.!


One incident related to life of Hamida Bano Begum.....(I will post details on sticky thread later with references, as we should not discuss it here..)


When AKbar was 6 years old, he had toothache, his stepmother Haji Begum brought the medicine, but Akbar's own mother Hamida Bano Begum, did not like this.

According to Akbar, HB was worried that the medicine might turn out to be poison. Despite the fact that, Haji was a senior begum of Humayun. 😕 HB did not want to offend Haji Begum, neither she wanted Akbar to take that medicine, hence she told Akbar to immediately go to his room. But the child Akbar was not ready to go and he stayed there only despite HB telling him. A drama followed, and in the end, finally when Haji Begum tasted the medicine herself and made HB satisfied, then only she was allowed to give that medicine to Akbar.

^^^^And now, Compare the case with Ruqayya Begum and Jodha and Salim. Mothers are fiercely protective even in polygamous societies, but our CV's have no sense at all. 🥱


One incident about Jodha and Salim.

Salim notes when he was very young and a kid and not well, his mother and her servants gave him medicine, in consultation with his father. Such small incidents which a person records, are PROOF of the fact that , he loved his parents ..

^^^Compare this with REEL Salim of Jodha Akbar. 😕




CV's do not know how such relations work. I Wanted to share something about polygamy also...

On my blog it self, i have got comments from members from Indonesia and Balkans(Middle East) about polygamy. Many have expressed their views, some have even written about their OWN Family where polygamy persisted till a generation back. Their father had wives, but what they all wrote was -> One of the wife was special , while drawing a parallel with the story of Akbar and MUZ. Recently, a comment was there from a lady who was from > Klungkung regency royal family in Bali, Indonesia about polygamy, was on same lines. The people from those areas, are pretty much more open to the concept of polygamy, and i enjoy interaction with them..

BTW, I am surprised to see that Jodha Akbar is VERY popular in Indonesia and the Middle East, lots of comments come from those areas.


About the Forum

I am here, i have always enjoyed writing about Jodha Akbar. In fact, this is a unique story, and we are blessed to have such leads who can create magic even with the worst of the script. Hope more members come back, just if anyone watches the episodes once will get a signal that things are improving..!! The members will come back slowly, and if not this time, by next time, TRP's should rise because of RT and PS's presence, add to this no Ruqs plotting , and less of SANAR, it makes the present track worth watching.

Dear i really like ur post but i dont think Ruq will b punished ever bcoz she is nly main villian left in d show after maham...if she will b punished then who will plot next...every show need mirch masala...
