Friends, I had such a heavy heart yesterday after seeing this Ruq blissfully drugging Salim with everything he is eating and drinking! She put afeem in the milk, in the laddoos. The boy is a gone case!
What is this crap we are watching in the name of a serial. Do we have to do our daily grind and then sit at 8pm to watch a small child of nine years being systematically drugged with opium by a heartless mercenary witch of a woman?
There was nothing else worth mentioning in yesterday's serial except it was Ruq all the way, undiluted.
1. First she drugged Salim's milk and said he should add to his strength to oppose Nadira.
2. Then she hid behnd a curtain and saw Jodha with Jalal and Salim putting Salim to sleep with a lori - and showed her jealous face and also her relief that Jalal had not found out that Salim was drugged.
3. Then she butted into a children's fight and sacked Rashd Khan from his job because "commoners can't talk back like this to the walihaad of the Sultanate" ... (Salim was telling copious lies and Nadira was in the right but the mistress of the harem had to come there and show her arrogance).
4. Then she took Salim to feed him on opiated laddoos while telling him that he has to make people fear him as a waaris of the sultanate and so he has to show guroor.
5. Then she told him a bedtime story of a fairy with broken wings who caught a shehzada in her grip and thus got back her wings.
Out of 22 minutes of airtime if we get this kind of staple diet of 15 minutes of Ruq, Ruq, Ruq ... Ruq doing this and Ruq doing that ... what are we watching for?
The whole story is already about Salima-Nadira with Ruq as an extra. Jodha and Jalal are by the wayside like some strangers in their own story. The role that is left for Jalal and Jodha is like the role of Hamida and Gulbadan ... nothing more than bystanders giving one or two dialogues per episode!
I am sorry to say we are all down with virus fever in my family, and this kind of rubbish was a bit too much to bear in the midst of all the hungama. Honestly, I am past even feeling outrage, I am feeling ill and unhappy! Can anyone tell me why I am doing this to myself?

On a related note I wonder about the social implications of a national channel using a popular serial to show that it is possible to lie, cheat, murder, even drug an Emperor's son, and get away scot-free?

How will the character of Ruq and watching all she gets away with again and again "inspire" unstable persons with criminal minds in our society?

As I understand it, there are strict regulations re depiction of alcohol or tobacco in prime time; then how is it permitted to show administering opium to a kid?

Nice post mansi.
Did not watch yesterday episode .
So episode was belong to ruk and her evil karnama. It is really disgusting to read finally ruk succeded to her evil plan and made salim to druggist. More than ruk this cvs is pathectic that they are showing a 8 year kid became affim addict at family show which watch by so many people and even kids .
And i am mad of jodha what she has became a bewkoof, stupid and idiot person who has no selfrespect for herself. Ruk jab chahe use suna deti hai aur uske muh mein jabaan hi nahi hota hai. I really hate to watch this jodha and i am really missing my old jodha who was fearless and who standup for herself.

And Mansi take cake of yourself and your family. This show is not as precious as your health. So please take care.

Mansi, don't be affected by this rubbish. Today morning I had sent a last feedback email to Zee and I finally stop watching this crap. I required this bad episode to free myself fom my bond with this serial today completely. .
As I saw in twitter somebody wrote to that Manish, that its his job to write and entertain us, why do we have to beg for it. It's the truth, we watch serials for entertainment not for cursing ourself, if it cannot entertain us then we just don't watch it, we will find some other source.

So I will request you to take care of your health and your family members, as its the most important thing now, don't let this stupid story affect you.

Yes I will definitely miss watching RT and PS, but then I will watch the old episodes or check their snaps in facebook.

Don't forget to tell me if you plan to write about something else. Take care ...

Hi Mansi, thank you for the good 'to the point' analysis.

I am disgusted with the Creatives for incorporating the despicable act of drugging by a mother-like figure in the storyline of a historical. That Zee TV which takes pride in showcasing serials filled with traditional indian values actually okayed such a contemptible idea, is really hard to swallow. Thousands of viewers , including children , both in India and the world over saw this ghastly act on TV. Is there any need to give screen time and importance to such a monstrous act. Did EK even stop to think that the very same act which she is glorifying maybe the reason for concern and worry for thousands of adolescents, teens and adults in this world?
How can a member of royalty, especially the chief consort of the Mughal emperor be portrayed in such a disgusting manner. I must say that the Creatives have a very 'ghatiya' sense of natakiya roopantar.

Rukaiyya actually called herself an angel during her story telling session to Salim😲 😲. Now the Creatives have redefined the word 'pari'. If SHE 😡 is an angel, according to the Creatives, how do we define a real angel? The Creatives have crossed all limits of sanity.

She fired little Nadira's father from work, I wonder who gave her the authority to do so, I was not aware that a male musician was a part of the harem.

It bothers me that a smart and astute Jalal never figured out why Salim was feeling dizzy, especially while being in Rukaiyya's company.

She showed off her audha even to little Nadira. I would love to see Nadira catch Rukaiyya in the act of mixing opium in Salim's food/ drink and expose her. This thought was originally shared by Rashmi and I agree with it completely.

The storyline is going from bad to worse and before we are subjected to anymore child abuse scenes, I think we should quit watching for good.

Mansi, i have a question. Is there not any board or commitee to take action against such type of scene where they are showing a kid got addict to affim. I mean in prime time show there are lots of limitation or boundation to show many scene as like so much hot scene or voilent scene which affect the children thats why, what i have heard so many show have change their time slot but why they do not doing anything else on it . It is a very serious thing that they are showing a kid has become affim druggist.

Good To hear from you Mansi. Hope all of you get well soon. Being sick and watching this current track will only worsen everything. I skipped todays episode Mansi, its just not worth spoiling my weekend.

I feel very sad to watch Akbar and MUZ being shown as foolish and dumb. on top of it we had to watch a child being drugged.

Have a good weekend Mansi and take care.
