munni in ekta's shows heroine is shown mahaan by degrading the hero..and why not make them both intelligent and strong..but no! then how will she create drama and gain trps! if akbarism was shown all along jodha would stand nowhere its only that jalal makes mistakes and jodha corrects him and this is how the show has shaped and same will be done in the future!

These CVs have no knowledge of Akbar's character at all. Although they claim to have done research on him in reality they have no clue about him at all.
Akbar wrote a few letters to Salim advising him on how to handle affairs of state and in one of those letters he says "Do not show your feelings and emotions to others, let them keep guessing whether you are pleased, angry or upset"
Also Akbar very rarely cried in public may be a few times one is durig Abul Fazl murder, Birbal death in battle and his own mother's death. Apart from these instances I have never read he cried anywhere. But here they show Akbar crying at drop of hat.
Akbar was one who never showed what is going on in his mind openly to anyone especially to public and in front of people who worked for him. Very rarely he may have displayed what he actually felt inside. In EK Akbar openly discusses his wife forcing him to go out with her on his birthday morning to atagah, Akbar openly saying Jodha hated him after marriage to Aziz etc
Now coming to Jodha she is going on talking about Rajvanshi pride and life etc. Would real Akbar really listen in favour of Rajvanshi and against Mughal empire bashans etc. No as emperor he shall think to expand his empire and make free and safe trade routes that would come by capturing chittor.
I do not think anyone other than a Salim or Hamida would dare disobey or argue with him or speak loudly and forcefully in front of an Akbar (on few occasions). Others would never dare speak without his approval too usually forget giving any bashan to him that include Ruqaiah and Jodha .

Adi sent some links where a historian named Munni Roy(On the basis of Abu Fazl's work) has written a book Titled AKBAR. Was reading snippets of that book y'day. My belief has been strengthened that Akbar is truly truly destiny's own child. It is very rare that someone will have so many qualities and yet faces so much tragedies in his whole life. I am not discounting his so called negative traits here - With all his pluses and minuses he is one of the greatest emperors world has ever seen with such innate capabilities.

adi has really great links and i did try reading them once and got so upset with ekta's interpretation and did not feel like watching the show!

Now what Ekta has attempted to show is not this Jalaluddhin Mohd Akbar as History has recorded him. There may be sane resemblances here and there but this is a different story which does not move an inch from BT/Ekta's regressive formula. Just because an exceedingly good performer called Rajat enacted the role, we got enamoured.

very well said! if rajat was not enacting akbar i would have stopped watching the show long time ago!..the scene that hooked me to the show and rajat was when he was holding a glass of wine and thinking about jodha..his acting was to die for and that is where he won my heart and after that there has been no looking back!

In Chitthor War, Akbar himself camped for 4 months and at times Mughal soldiers under direct supervision of Akbar went without food/sleep in the attack(Akbar including). The resistance from Rajputs is praise worthy and in my opinion Akbar must have bottled a lot of rage as his patience and miliatry valour was getting tested for such a long time - 2nd Panipat War got over in less than a day !!! And Imagine Akbar himself leading a 4 month campign for the stongest fort of Rajputs. Any war whether mediveal, recent or contemporary times in the final stages commit a lot of atrocities. See how Srilankan Govt has been suppressing the excesses their Army committed, during the last stages of 2009 war in which LTTE was eliminated. So after a 4 months of see-saw and such stiff resistance and Raja Udai singh himself having escaped, Akbar may have ordered some onslaught which resulted in 40K Civilian deaths.

akbar was one of a kind and yes the rajputs were brave too but ekta will never show a real war!

Did you see the prep for War in our serial? I do not know why these folks are wearing the Iron helmet in Agra where it will atleast take 1 week to reach Chittor ?😕
In MC Mirchi war, we saw three horses . Y'day there were four - So Akbar has increased the Horses count by 1 as part of his Army expansion.😡😡
There was a wide spread cannon usage with so much technology in chittor war. ANd we saw one cardboard kind of thing with Rajastani designs(!)(Grey Colur) - A lone one moving out of Agra in Friday episode. Again so much for Akbar's strategies. 😭😭😭

40K Civilan death means a reddish orange sky which will again be deciphered by Mahaan Jodha only. 😉

It is better for Ekta to stay away from Wars. Let her give a Voice over and show red/orange/pale yellow skies depending on the number of deaths and destruction 😉😉. And let Jalal continue his job of Hostel Oops Harem warden, listening to his Guru and singing her praises. Once in a while he can come to DEK and relay what he has learnt the previous day from JM(Jodha Mahaan i.e). And then Salim-Anarkali will come - It is a Garden romance, anyways and Ekta is master of it. She can continue to revolve around and, end the story as she pleases.

😆..the gray color cannon was classic!..it seemed to be made overnite with plaster!..ekta will never spend money on showing a convincing war scene!

I am fed up - Watching this JA is even killing the JA story I have in my head and that is my great loss. I am extremely upset with the same non-sense of Jalal having to be insanified by JM every time. This is Gross injustice.

Also. as someone has mentioned this word Rajvanshi is now getting on my nerves. Had done a Road trip of Rajastan in 2012 covering Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jailsalmer and Bikaner and I fell in love with Rajastan, Rajput Valour and Maharana Pratap and his chetak. But JM's Bhashan and her putting her own clan above anyone else is sickening.

i too feel the same! and i was appalled to see jodha doing rajwanshi jaap and being only concerned about her clan!

Sorry - I have ranted - But this is what I genuinely feel right now .

Last thing - What is still holding me onto the serial - Jalal's expression after he completes his talk to God and edges his horse to move on was something to die for. One expression that combines 'Challenging God, Equating oneself with God, an anticipation of taking revenge on God and a self - congratulatory of having got this idea and many other myraid emotions" in one single shot !!! 👍🏼⭐️⭐️. This man is coming closer to my all time favourites like Sivaji Ganesan, Kamal hassan and Mohanlal in terms of emoting. God Bless him and God bless all of us for sustaining everything else in JA ONLY for these moments.

uff uff uff! rajat was brilliant and again he won my heart with the way he went on the horse with that majestic smile😉

After the devastating death of the twins...see na...Jo is back to her extempore ways n hence absolutely normal 😆, while Jalal has become Jallad...n Jo is so good hearted, that she has gotten past her children's death & the blame from her husband (when actually there is no blame at all ) to think about the innocent lives, while Jalal hasn't. ...so now, at the end of it, Jalal the Jallad will once again be made into an insaan by Jodha Begum... ...RING A RING A ROSES...😆

So Mandy,
Open your eyes
practise some chants, hymns & bhajans
practise sashtaang dandavat Pranaam. ..
& most importantly, stop spreading negativity 🤣

(Shyamala Aunty...loved the post mortem of post Chittor n pre Ranthambor dates ...😆 ...so freaking true 😆)

😆😆..i know i should stop spreading negativity!..do not worry i will line up with jalal and let jodha absorb all our negativity and turn it into positive energy where we will do endless jodha jaap!

😆..yes! and what he did in mirchi war..he was led by his aapa to AM's trap..the real akbar must have choked to death on seeing this NR!

he is openly insulted by ruk and jodha in reality that would not have been the case!

Like the Rajat Bhajaans and prasises we all do in Ela and Mandy threads, One more to Shyamala Akka's awesome writing. Brilliant Brilliant Posts Shyamala Akka here as well as in Divya's Ocean churning thread.
Akka, Please do one post, for the infant deaths and few good episodes after that till Chitthor prep. We need it from you.
What chuckled me in your post was the timing of Salim's works commencement - Yes - It is an important observation and a good question too 😊. This itself proves that real HK/Jodha did not stand up to Akbar in any political or military issues or dare to question him. He must have dropped into Agra, saw, conquered [Regarding Project Salim] and went back to Rathombore for next military quest. 😉😉
BTW, when was these Pada Yatras/ Duas exactly undertaken by Akbar? Anyone knows the time line ? Did Jodha join him or he went alone to Sikhri?
Also some people keep mentioning that Akbar took Jodha to some of his war campaigns. Can Adi, Sandhya please clarify whether it is true ? I am doubtful if Abu Fazl would have recorded anything to this effect in Akbarnama. So how is this info floating around in some of the threads, as authentic history?
Thanks.

Wahhh... Now this was one thread that I felt good reading all comments. 1ividhya, Akbar did go to Ajmir and Sikri between April and October of 1568 and not just Jodha but others too accompanied him - and he used to take family for his conquest wars as most of these he started as hunting trips - infact if you read Fazl and Irfan Habib's paper on technology during this period and Tabaqat - kbari, you will note a lot of info on the type of tents and equippage used by Akbar as well as how the encampment of the army was which does give info on the harem being a part of the encampment and it was on one such trip that his third son Daniyal was born to Jodha - btw I do have confirmed info from 2 different chronicles of Akbar's time that give the info that Murad and Daniyal were also born to Jodha / HK. Now I am on to finding about the daughters. I have already given my 2-bit on Chittor on divi's thread and have nothing to add - while I do admire MP for his valor and bravery but it ends there, I am not very impressed by his thinking - as to Ranthambor well the Hadas refused to have any matrimonial alliance with Akbar and he readily agreed and while others including Bhagwan Das felt this to be an insult to the Emperor, Akbar himself did not bother as he also knew that a Hada princess would also have to be made a chief queen and she may pull rank over Jodha / HK since the Hadas considered thenselves superior to the Ameris - and this was before Akbar had news that the 'bun was in the Oven' - and that to me twlls everything about what HK meant to him !!!

My dear Srividhya,

How flattering, my dear, positively overwhelming. I am too old to blush, otherwise I would have turned a nice deep pink!

Well, my dear, I do not know what more I can write about the twins' death than what I have done on Divya's latest thread, Churning the Ocean. My fairly long comments are on
1) page 8 at http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4196048&TPN=8
2) page 9 at http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4196048&TPN=9
3)page 10 at http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4196048&TPN=10

which I do not think you have seen, and then

4) page 16- 4 posts at http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4196048&TPN=16
5) page 19 at http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4196048&TPN=19
6) and finally page 20 at http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4196048&TPN=20

Dear girl, I cannot inflict any more on my long suffering readers, don't you agree?😉

Once again, I was floored by the warmth of your praise. To be put on the same platform as Rajat is something to cherish! Thanks a million and an extra big 🤗
