But Chitti - they trusted Zeenat so somehow I do not see it as a security issue

when I say security ... I also mean serious trust issues 😆

But, I felt my JJ as well today

I would have done what Ruks did to corner Zeenat...but wouldn't have gone eye for an eye of course 😲😆 ... luckily Salima is always there to put the brakes on the runaway craziness.

Ever since Hassan's death the Jodha Jalal relationship has taken a very poignant turn. Hussein's has made them broken beyond hope as their guilt of neglect is eating them up.

Here after being emotionally crushed and burnt this is a time to see if Jodha and Jalal can rise like phoenixes from the ashes. Whether they are strong enough to fight fate and yet keep their faith. Both of them were true to their religions and respected the others as well. But it was all about kanhaa ka diya jalana namaaz karna and the routine. But this pain and the coming out of it will take their devotion to a different level and thus their relationship and love too.

Jodha has shut Kanhaa's screen and Jalal's faith has shaken at the root level. He questions the ability of a curse to cancel out all the prayers and goodness that he has earned and thus questions God and doesn't mind if it was Kufr. If seeing Jodha at Ganghour and her sword at his neck was a turning point in his life, this is the next. Earlier he fought against his inclination to accept his dil but in vain and ultimately surrendered to love. This made his love pure and extraordinary. Now he will fight against his faith in God in vain and ultimately surrender to the Divine. This will make his devotion pure and Supreme.

To those who feel that the death of the twins has gone a waste without Ruqaiya bandaphod, this is not the story of Ruqaiya, how much ever screen space she gets. Even MA hogged the limelight. Many of her more serious crimes than hatred and jealousy have been buried - like her mc khaand her role in the letter that caused the dhakka her role in moti bai case her role in shivaani elopement. But this is not a story about her either.

This is the story of JA and how they evolved and how much their love for each other helped them evolve. The evil-doers are like the chandaala, the man who purchased Harishchandra 's wife and son are merely those who tested the Great King and brought out his virtues. So are MA atifa zeenat and Ruqaiya. Destiny will put them in place according to the level of their crimes.

I had quoted this from Rudyard Kipling on Ela's thread as well
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream"and not make dreams your master;
If you can think"and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings"nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And"which is more"you'll be a Man, my son!

Jodha and Jalal are true men of the world. They have made all the trials as stepping stones for bettering themselves. They have risen from each disaster and lifted the other as well. This is what makes their love story epic. Afterall what is epic about 'They happily lived ever after'?

Beautiful post Sandhya ... yes to me yesterday was a turning point in Jodha-Jalal's story as well - and I loved your lines in underlined.

Beautiful poem by Kipling.

Ruk's screen space means nothing ...

well that's where I'm at ... I can't seem to appreciate all the high ideals of JJ today. Jalal couldn't either...he was leaning towards a Ruks attitude too and I think it's needed. That kind of vulnerability and flailing about helplessly for answers...
