As long as you gauge yourself by what you feel others think about you, you remain individual 1.
When you gauge yourself by what you think of yourself you can become individual 2. Plus you need the rock solid shoulder to lean on.

Absolutely agree ... I actually feel terribly bad for Ruquaiyya ... and disagree with all the posts that say she is the "jaan begum" of the CVs ... she is poised to lose everything ... and screen space does not mean anything

She is going to lose it all ... and in such a horrible way

And yes, the second one is very lucky to have a rock solid shoulder to lean on

also i had heard a small story in my childhood

there was a man who believed that god resides in all people and creatures
one day he was going in a forest
there an elephant was going with a mahout ( rider ) on its back
the man came in front of the elephant to do a namashkaar
the mahout told him to move away
but the man said he will stand there till the elephant responds
then the elephant got angry and trampled the man
the man went to heaven
he asked god why he was killed
he was just greeting the elephant
god told him he should have heard the gos in the mahout

moral of the story is
be a bit logical and sensible in your actions

here

jodha is the man
jalal is the mahout
ruq is the elephant
kanha is god

Yes, Jodha should not have agreed to give the children ... but we know in history Jodha and Jalal went through the pain of losing their children regardless ... it does not matter whether she chose to give the child or not

Ruq's always liked to dominate Jalal ... she did try to stop him from going to Sukanya's wedding even before Jodha did what you describe above ... so I wouldn't try to relate the two

If Ruq's did not gain any of the good traits from Jodha ... how can we blame Jodha for just the bad? Right?

yes they really suffered that loss
but in truth she was not a mother who abandoned her child
kunti had done that in mahabharat
and we all know what had happened there
even karna had sort of rejected her later
