I think mansi wen rukku tells that one kid belongs to her and its muslim then birbal may come up with a point saying adopting a kid doesn't give a right to change the religion of the kid..only wen the kid grows up and able to decide whether he wanted to be muslim or hindu till that time kid il be considered as half hindu and half religion..if still rukku insists then birbal may ask rukku to give back rajvanshi khoon which the kid has and make him a pure muslim..till rajvanshi blood is flowing in baby till then he wud be considered as half hindu and half mughal..as per rule being half hindu both jodha and jalal's kids are suppose to pay the tax..wen they are grown up they can decide on thr religion..but till then even if rukku or anyone adopts the baby still the baby is considered as half hindu and half mughal..and the adopted mother has to pay the tax for adopting half hindu son..thus rukku il be checkmated ...

Coming to awaam birbal may come up with a question in dek saying shehensha are u more worried about khazana and coz of this u are not able to abolish tax on hindus..or coz of ur religion...jalal il definitely say coz of khazana... I treat my awaam as kids..then birbal il question wen u feel so ashamed to collect tax from ur hindu wife are u not feeling ashamed to collect tax from ur hindu awaam..wen u said ur awam is ur kids.. like ur kids one is hindu and one is said to mughal.. in the same way one side is mughals and the other side is hindu's..wen u failed to give justice to give ur own sons and discriminating them then wat justice can u give to ur awaam..coz they too are mughals and hindu's... if ur problem is not religion but fund..then anyhow u are not going to get any tax... indirectly putting pressure on ur hindu awaam either to pay tax or to accept islam..people forcefully ready to accept islamism just to avoid the tax... if all hindus get converted to Islamism neither u il get tax inturn u and mughal sultanat il get sin and curse from many people forcing hidnus to accept islam.. tellme shehensha wat are u going to to do..or wat ur ministers are going to get..u il not get tax in both ways.. if u abolish the tax u can raise the tax in other forms and slowly u il get back ur khazana..but by not abolishing the tax either ur hindu praja wud leave ur kingdom and go to other kingdoms or they il suicide like that pregnant lady or they il accept islam..inturn its an insult to shehensha ...all these cases u il not be able to collect tax and inturn people il again forget all the good deeds done by u and il never accept u as thr shehensha and the good will and the name u got from ur hindu praja il be taken back wen u are not able to give justice to hindu awaam coz of ur discrimination between Hinduism and islamism... people and other kingdom kings till now who are pleased and scared il mock u saying wen jalaluddin mohammad failed to givie justice to his kids and hindu begum wat justice can he give to his awaam..wen he is discriminating and doing injustice to his own sons then wat can he do to awaam... now the decision is in ur hands..if u abolish u il be able to get more support and goodwill from all hindu praja and also u can increase the tax in other forms.. if u don't then hindus il convert or suicide or leave ur kingdom... at the end jalal il be left with no other option but to abolish zijiya... rukku il go furious...and sharif and his beard dad and maulvis il oppose and plot against jalal... in both the cases sultanat has no other go but to face revenue loss..but that can be converted into profit thru other mode...

Loved this point Gem. I think that's exactly what birbal will say today and ruqqaiya and everyone including jalal will be surprised and shocked regarding this and this in turn will end up giving jalal a valid reason to abolish the tax but ruqqaiya will end up bitter at jodha's victory and start her torture. I have read that zee guy said that birbal will solve the kid issue what do u think that mean? There can only be an issue if both the kids are safe n sound and jodha demands her kid back which seems unlikely.

mansi you have given a correct analysis ! .👏👏 .. we were expecting ruqu's tantrums to claim the kid back but unexpectedly we saw a different perspective and the jasiya issue held the center stage ! , . birbal is sympathetic to jodha's concern n hardly had he settled down that he had gauged ruqu's nature !. .👏 that is a remarkable thing as jodha has gained another supporter .. birbal is the correct person to play his subtle moves against ruqu n will ultimately checkmate her . the light atmosphere created by birbal's clever strategy was a welcome break from the highly charged scenes of previous episodes . birbal can reduce the grimness and negativity in JA not only by his seemingly funny yet intelligent dialogues but also by exposing -ruqu- the most negatively charged vamp - if he does it then his this one act alone will usher in a positive setting for JJ. we are looking forward to it ! . jodha was true to her self n she can never ignore the sufferings of the awam . her strength ,determination n fiery nature was displayed n even if jalal was slightly irritated at the beginning yet he knows her good intentions . jodha 's firm stand before ruqu was much required ruqu was downright rude in jasiya snatching scene !. as ruqu has got the farman n will be eager to get the kid so she has given up her awesome acting as jodha 's true friend !. . jalal was in a dilemma but he just cannot bear jodha 's defeat n her haari hui begum status . jodha is correct in highlighting the issue as she will always guide akbar to amend the unjust laws in the first case itself birbal shall impress akbar while solving it the courtiers have already started making fun of birbal as he came late in DEK but he had a hidden agenda . i liked the way birbal had manipulated the entire awam to gather outside n jalal 's expressions were marvellous at that instance . maybe jodha was also nudged by him to cause a stir in such a fashion . the picturisation of jodha 's flashback upon jalal's face during his thinking mode before the tarazu was very good . the kids are tiny n they need tlc from real moms so they were having a day off ! regarding the precap - it looks interesting n a happy scene as ruqu shall be defeated ------ already many forum writers have guessed about the possible scenario. hats off to everyone on the forum who can predict it brilliantly 👏👏👏.

Old, Women and Children are EXEMPTED from Jiziya

There is no way Jodha and/or her babies come under Jiziya rule... .be it she a Queen or Commoner

...worst kind of NR for just the sake of it. 😡

thanks medha...yesterday i saw the whole issue from neither jodha or jalal's pov..but shanti and many such shanti's pov...yes the execution could have been much better and i am exhausted complaining about the same ...but the scenario made sense but the glaring blooper was it took them 2 years to bring this to jodha's notice...

from what is shown in the show ...it has so many loop holes this tax system and the people who pay this money do not even get to enjoy the benefits which are to be taken care of by the sultanat and their protection...did not AK make it a habit of carrying off the daughters of families that failed to pay the tax ??

and am sorry could not get back to youe response of the episode on wednesday...i was that hopping mad on mon and tues and did make along post on how none in Agra deserved those kids none at all and then calmed down and deleted it 😆...i just wish by next week the finish of this child donation issue...it is sickening to see it ...

women, children are exempted but what about their husbands. so the commoner lady was trying to commit suicide because her husband was taken to custody as he did not pay the money for the Tax. it basically affects the family right.

Shanti was not trying to commit suicide as she had to pay the jaziya but for the fact that her husband was taken to custody for not paying the Jazia. May be as a head of the family, he was to pay the tax for his entire family (including kids and female). The law may had some exception for single ladies and kids (without a male support) and not for those who had men in the family. May be the rule would have been that if the Jazia was not paid, he had to get converted to islam and if the husband converts, where will his wife go and how can she stay as Hindu(who will support her), so it was like indirect way to get the whole family converted.

Shanti and her family were not exempted, Jodha paid their part of the Jaziya and asked Jalal to release Shanti's husband.

Shanti is exempted but her husband is in Jail as he did not Pay for it. So it does affect Shanti and her son as well right.
