What a wonderful double take divya ,circle indeed is complete now for both of them ,finally mother got her son's love one more time and at the perfect time ,son got his mother who he lost in power hunger game . Haven't watched the episode yet but I am sure my judgement is clouded as we think too much on what we want to see but thanks to my kiddo I got new vision ,he did't watch the epi but I was watching promo and he came by ,usually I don't let him watch but it was few min so I allowed him ,1st he was happy that I got to watch it some video ten he became serious after watching scene between maham and jalal ,then when they showed it again he just grabed my face ,touching my nose with his just sat there for 5min with out blinking he kept staring ,I don't know what he saw or what he understood but I guess love has it's own language .and that made me I emotional .
About your take 5on maham -up to the mark ,nothing to add
1)I asked u once was her love at any time real and you reminded me chand begam thing ,so for her it was always power but I guess when she stayed with jalal for so many years ,nursed him ,I think she loved him at some point but power thirstalways won . And I completely agree with obsessive love .
2) jodha -she understood from start when he never shared jodha topic with her that this relationship is going to change her relationship with him. And after suicide attempt and jalal masking this whole thing as duty and his thought process and shutting of ma from his private world ,she knew things are going out of her hand .rukku for her was easy to handle not jodha . And when after vishpaan when she saw the way jalal holding jodha's hand ,she knew then and there that she has to act fast in this matter or she is going to loose more .
After that we all saw her downfall which was imminent .
We are going to miss ashwini ,she put life in to that character ,she lived that character but I wished they could have shown her political side as well because maham Angha was force to recon with .

Divs today I stand by all that I said in the throne burning epi and since - the track starting with Atifa till now has been about a resurgent TE with the compassion of Akbar - and every indicator has been there if one links all of the kadis together.

Starting with the Atifa track and its finale - Akbar exposed MA's shenanigans yet was not bitter or hate her - The Emperor had to do justice to a traitor and the Son wanted to do his duty to his Mother from committing more sins.

Next was the death of Adham - the Emperor again meted out justice but the son was there to provide the mother the support that she needed.

Next was when MA wanted to go and see her son - The Emperor let her - so what made the son come out on the terrace overlooking the place where the body was kept ???? Once again the son had come to provide the mother whatever support he could - and what did he get - a curse - yet even that did not anger the son who asked that the mother be taken away - becoz she was falling in the eyes of the world by the minute and the son did not want that for her.

Next we see the man sitting in front of the throne he is tied to and expressing his inner turmoil by burning it ??? - Was this a man running away from his reality, his responsibility, spineless et al ????? - To me it seemed to be a man finally facing the reality that the throne would always be the lens used by all to view their relation with him - a man lamenting for at least one person who could see HIM without this lens - as he had hoped his Badi Ammi did but now had proof that his thinking was wrong - and this man was then consoled by that one person who actually did see her relation with him as only man and wife (though for her the man and the Emperor are the same yet their relation is not based on the power of the throne becoz for her he would always be The Emperor with or without the throne)

Now we saw MA asking Jodha that was she capable of getting her the Son - this was in effect a msg from MA to Akbar not a challenge to Jodha - but couched as a challenge since MA understands Jodha so well and knows that Jodha can never let a challenge go - a desperate call from the mother who had finally realised her actions and their consequences and how despite all, the Son had never slackened his duty to the mother - the mother was now desperate to know that she had been forgiven by the son.

And the Son came - when he realised that it was the Mother who was calling, he came, when he realised that it was the Son who was uppermost in her mind and her heart and her thoughts, he came - till that last call of eagerness was made he waited but once he knew that the lens was broken, the Emperor stepped back and the Son came forth.

All along, this has been about the resurgence of Akbar - as the compassionate Emperor who had the ability to take a hard stance yet had the humility to bend in compassion when the situation demanded - this has been about an Akbar who had the ability to take the pain of others into himself and help them heal - this has been about an Akbar who is truly great - In fact, this, has been the Journey of Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar from being just the Emperor of Hindustan to Akbar the Great.

Adia, I absolutely agree we have TE back with the compassion of Akbar. I agree with your entire story ... Except for one, that he did seem ready to run away from his responsibility in that instant ... And I blame the CVs for making his dialogues so weak ... As he didn't have to be as weak, and Jodha would have still been able to support him ...

Other than that, I agree... Today Jalal went to MA because he actually saw the true Mother he always thought he had

We have seen Jalal cry for MA so may times ... I thing it lost impact. Perhaps, Rajat was trying to make it different this time ...I was fine with it

I think many did want Jalal to cry for MA at all ... So any amount of tears sounded OTT

Let me your thoughts once you see the episode

It is not Rajat to let personal things interrupt such a scene ... I was fine with his crying, perhaps not as fine with why he was crying so much ... Maybe that he was finally seeing the MA he always thought that he had

Wow! An era comes to life with your words. It is also poignant because an era came to an end today. The death of Maham was a turning point in the real Akbar's life. It brought an end to the petticoat government, henceforth Akbar would be largely independent, even brazen in defying authority like the Ulema.

The reel Maham's life has been beautifully detailed by you, a character portrayed with such magnificence by Ashwini. Really sad that it is the last we will ever see of her in Jodha Akbar.

Now we await the future, and will live the serial, one episode at a time.

Thanks - truly it was an era that came to an end and let us see what the CVs have in store for us next
