What made Mughal-e-Azam a classic was the superlative cast and their combined star power, which was incandescent in the heavy dramatic scenes, like the one when Anarkali flees from the advancing Akbar straight into Salim's arms, and then slides limply to the floor at his feet. Being the Mughal prince that he is, Salim does not stoop to pick her up. That was a splendid touch.

Mandy, I started reading ur post seeing the title - 'K Asif's Mughal-E-Azam...' My father says nobody can make another Mughal-E-Azam & I completely agree with him.😃 I just love this movie. BUT I would never love to watch it in JA. I can never watch Rajat & Paridhi as old Jalal & Jodha. I m sure they themselves will deny to act as old Akbar & Jodha & I don't think the production house can take so big risk. Rajat has won 5 awards for this role. Do you know what 5 awards mean? Jaan hai woh show ki agar use buddha dikha diya toh show floop. So this whole news of leap seems to me just a rumour. PH thinks of leap only when the TRPs are falling drastically. But JA maintained its position within the top 5 shows even with the falling TRPs & it again reached at 1st postion. So no logic for taking a leap.

There's only one way I can accept this leap - if Rajat could play Salim. And I m sure he'll play better than DK.😳But then Pari can't play Anarkali. So no JA for me if PariJat are not there. I m highly disappointed with the AkDha romance but what to do I m addicted to this couple.😳

agree wid you,, no akdha, no parijat means no JA. &cvs r nt so dumb to take long leap in this stage. Leap news is just rumour yr,, leave it.

EK n leap go side by side so it wont b suprising to c one in JA as well... bt i seriously dont want such thng happning.. instead it wud b interestn to c the 9 gems
