The journey that began on Friday continues. 😊

Jodha, who comforted Jalal in such a maternal manner then and confronted Mahamanga about her crass imprecations, is now such a constant companion to her husband that it's hard to imagine there was a phase not long ago when she couldn't bear to look at her husband.

Yesterday, Jodha was the perfect wife.

A good wife wipes her husband's silent tears; but a perfect wife listens to the story of why her husband is sad.

She didn't retreat into her shell, afraid of her husband's wrath. Nor did she beg or plead with him to give up his sadness and return to normalcy.

I have never seen Jalal looking so anguished for anyone, as he was for Atga Khan. He was totally lost to the world and seemed to be on his own individual island in the River of Acheron.

At this point, Jodha slipped easily into the role of Elpis. Atga Khan's death had opened a Pandora's box, from which only Jodha remained as Elpis to comfort Jalal. All the others seemed to be too nervous to even face him when he was at his lowest ebb emotionally and needed someone to comfort him.

It's life's irony that someone who always takes care of someone else, usually, requires someone else to comfort him. Jalal is indeed lucky to have found Jodha who is always by his side to wipe many an unshed tear and to smooth the lines of worry that threaten to crease his brow.

I had mentioned in an earlier post how I couldn't think of only Jodha as the constant shadow. And yesterday I felt so happy to see this was not always the case.

When Jodha walked up to Jalal and asked him to come with her, she was so assured in her demeanour, as if she were the entity and Jalal the shadow. And he did follow her lead like her shadow and accompanied her meekly and mutely to the grand hall containing the paintings of erstwhile rulers and forefathers of Akbar.

The scene didn't end there. Jodha went on to describe his forefathers and he himself when he became king and encouraged him to rethink about his decision to renounce the world. The arguments that she put forth to achieve this decision were as valid then as they are now about any great person. After the embrace of Friday, if anything touched my heart, it was Jodha's words to Jalal yesterday.

How beautifully she explained to him that a seed does not turn into a huge banyan tree just because someone was there to water it or provide it with the rich soil (environment ) that it needed.

She told him quote correctly that Baiarm Khan must have seen the potential in Jalal to have chosen him to become a king. And therefore a king must always be responsible towards his subjects and ensure their safety and happiness first. He couldn't run away from his responsibility towards his people.

All in all, Jodha waxed eloquent on the role of a king and his duties and, in the end, managed to persuade him to change his mind.

It was such a divine scene!!!!

By contrast, today's episode was too full of Bakshi Bano and the story of her "delivery." Contrasting also was the spring in Jalal's step and the smile on his lips today, compared with the woebegone person yesterday. Jalal couldn't seem to have enough of Jodha, seeming to want to spend every wakeful moment together with her. And this need for togetherness in both Jodha and Jalal is what makes them each other's living shadows.

Marriage is much more than the meeting of hearts. It is the intertwining of two lives, forever.

Ruqaiyya's Quest for MUZ Title
On Monday, Ruqaiyya was shown to have a brainwave according to which the Mughal empire could have two MUZs. She probably thought that since she was the BEK, she could demand one child from the twins to be given to her for upbringing. She is also aware that JJ are too gracious to refuse her anything, especially in such a delicate manner.

I don't know if I missed the scene yesterday where she talks to Jalal about the MUZ title. But she has already started preparing for her role. She has got a baby cot in her hojra. Next, she should be buying toys and getting clothes stitched.

The question is can a begum adopt a child and become MUZ? If that were so, why did Ruq wait so long? She could have accomplished this earlier too. Why did she follow the false pregnancy route?

The next question to ponder is, will Ruqaiyya be capable enough to bring up the child, or does she want the child only to harm it or harm Jodha through it?

If the spoilers are true, then Ruqaiyya will fail in her plan this time too - for the twins will supposedly be poisoned by Mahamanga. Wonder why she doesn't just accept Fate instead of always trying to go against Providence?

Radhika I loved the title of your post... And about your post it is as usual perfect and heart warming... I am copy pasting some of my thoughts on yesterday's episode which I have written in Mansi Di's thread and will try to write some thing more later.
Bechara Jalal, he is still unable to accept
Athga's death.. Yesterday my Mom was
complaining about Jalal's roona dhona... She
found it a bit OTT. but I think it was perfectly
alright to be depressed with the whole
situation... I think just because he is Akbar the
great the almighty Sahansha.. People tend to
forget that he is also a human being, even he
has a heart, even he has feelings, even he can be
hurt, sad and depressed just like any other
human being... There comes a time in life when
however strong a person may be he completely
breaks down and is shattered... And the same
thing has happened with him... From a very
young age he has seen many things in life... He
lost his father, he had to struggle hard to get
the throne and to retain it... It had been a long
and tough journey... And in that journey there
was his Khan Baba, Badi Ammi and Atga Sahab
to guide him and to protect him. But now
suddenly life has changed a 360 degree for him...
He has reached the top most pedestal and when
he looks from there he finds that those very
people who protected him, who guided him,
who were even ready to shed their own blood to
protect him has now become thirsty for his
blood. Those people whom he used to call his
family either wants him and his unborn kids
dead... Or is now dead because they were loyal
to him and wanted to him safe... I think this ugly
truth is enough to break any person... If every
human being is allowed to be shattered in such a
condition why can't the same level of human
reaction is not permitted for Jalal...??? I for one
loved how they showed the human side of Akbar
the great.. It is these kinds of tragedy helps a
person to cope with greater misfortunes in life...

Elders says that the God who is watching us
from above cares for us more than we care for
ourselves... And he knows whats best for us...
That almighty has chosen Jalal to make
history and to change the world. God knows that the the path which Jalal has to take in order to change the world which will change the very course of history is filled with difficulties, hurdles, betrayals, double crossing and sadness.. That is why He has sent Jodha in Jalal's life... So that she can hold
his hand and bring him out from every misery,
sadness, depression and dejection and hardship And how
beautifully this was showen in yesterday's and
Friday's episode.. On Friday we saw her giving
him the assurance that he is not lonely and she
will be there with him through every thick and
thin of life..and yesterday she beautifully
restored the lost faith which he had on himself
and the self - confidence which was lost due to
Atga's death and Maham's betrayal...
How beautifully she said that it is not him who
has chosen this life... But it is life who has
chosen it... I agree with her that he was destined
to be the Emperor of Mughal Sultanate at the
age of 14 not only because he was late Emperor
Humayun's son but also because he had that
capability to conquer and rule even at that
tender age. It is only because of his Valor,
Dedication, Tej and Shaurya that he was able to
defeat such a great soldier like Hemu in the
second battle of Panipat. It was only because of
his abilities that Khan Baba and Atga Sahab were
able to teach him and guide him... I loved when
she said that no plants can rise one gives water
and fertiliser to a rock... That so true... Jodha in
every sense a right partner for Jalal... A perfect
wife for the man Jalal as well as a perfect
Malika for the Sahansha... Truly she became his
greatest strength...

Awesome post Radhika . How beautifully you have summed up the essence of the post . MARRIAGE IS MUCH MORE THAN THE MEETING OF HEARTS . IT IS THE INTERTWINING OF TWO LIVES FOREVER .

In this case it is the " MILAN " of the souls . Jodha is the sun that will shine in Jalal's life and bring him out of darkness , just in the same way he reached out to her soul and brought her out of the heart of darkness after she had consumed the poison to save his life . They refuel each other's lost energies and are true companions in this journey of life . She will fulfill all her duties as a perfect better half should , and make their relationship whole . I loved the way in which she held her husband's hand with immense confidence in his inner strength , boosted his morale and gave him the much needed verbal jumpstart to get his withered emotional energies running .

We all saw the effects of that boost today . It was a renewed Jalal eagerly waiting the birth of his little neice / nephew .

I have watched Friday's episodes several times and still getting over the JAJO effect .

awesome post Radhika. Just loved it. This post of yours has made me to fall in love with this couple all over again.

Past one year We all have been witnessing Akdhas Journey from hatred to love and how they began this Journey of their love by letting go of their past and willing to move on. They have learned to love by looking beyond each other's faults, and whatever pain and hardships that life may bring. We saw this in the Atifa/Khyber Track and as well as on Friday when Jodha was standing like a pillar of support for her husband when he was emotionally drained. They both have learned to gain strength from each other. We saw a fully recharged Jalal who was anxiously waiting for his Nieces birth and I loved how he assured Jodha that he will be around to take care of her during her delivery.

Beautifully written.
Reading your post ,I can imagine Akdha as Raj Kapoor and Nargis of Shree 420,sharing one umbrella and braving the storm .Yes the storm did come in their life as MA and many more are yet to come .But the umbrella of their love ,which they share ,will help them face any storm. As long as they are together ,nothing can happen to them. They are each other's weakness and they are each other's strength too.
If Jalal is heart then Jodha is heartbeat.
If Jalal is eyes then Jodha is vision
If Jalal is arms then Jodha is strength in them .
They are for each other and they are meant to be together.
The song of their love will be sung by generations to come.

Unres.

Wow...You write so beautiful Radikha.

Monday's episode
I like JJ's scene a lot. Nowadays they talk and listen to each other and does not hide their inner feelings. Jalal was completely honest with what he felt at that moment to Jodha. And Jodha gave timely advise to him and let him make his decision. It would have been more nice if they could have shown depressed Jalal turning determined Jalal who leaves past and looks ahead. Now Jodha advising Jalal, I dont fine anything wrong in it. This leaving the throne decision of his only known to her and she talked to him privately too. Further more Jalal is only talking to Jodha. They just one and I cant actually say that she is his shadow but she is much more, his heart, breath and soul.

Tuesday episode
This is what I posted in Mansi's threat. Yesterdays episode was a light and a happy one even with crazy ruks stupid plan. After going true that breakdown baksi's babies arrival is like a sunshine for Agra. JJ are back to normal. But even though Jalal was telling Jo about not taking stress, I just can't stop thinking about Atifa track. Better late than never. All their scenes where very nice throughout the epi. They where together when even in the crowd. They seemed inseparable. The happiness on Jalal face when taking the baby and the way Jodha playing with the baby later was worth watching. Bring laddoo, I guess is just an excuse to see the baby. Now there will naming ceremony soon. In Agra, Jashn is equivalent to disaster. So now Jo knows its a girl and she shared it with Salima begum and HB which is good. Lets see what happens.

Now Shariff and BB. When viewing them we should keep JJ aside because they are one unique pair whose thinking is beyond their era. The thing is man blames the woman for giving birth to girl baby but the truth is man are solely responsible in determining the gender of the child. Unfortunately there is no genetic studies those days but this issue does happens even today in some corner of world. The believe that boys are superior to girl is not something new. Shariff is a man who does not respect woman, thinks they are just commodity who satisfy his needs. He married only to be part of royal family and gain power by hook or crook. Him biting BB just before delivery and demanding for son must have terrified BB. What if she have said that i is a girl. Shariff with no heart may have killed the baby the very moment before anyone can do anything. So out of fear she lied. But she should not carried on, at least should have told the truth to HB, her mother. BB if a person who is not evil or think bad but the problem is she does not think at all. She only follows. She is selfish. She is does not have any self esteem or confidence in her to even to think that her thoughts is right. She is so used to it of being unhappy and never bothered to make effort to be happy. Sometimes i dont understand how can Agra inmates live under one roof but as strangers. Only HB, Salima and Jo are only people who seems to be living in a family. Others are like guest in hotel. Now regarding gender discrimination, I read a book, a biography of Saudi princess, title Princess written by Jean Sasson. This book gives an inside view on the emotions of woman in great detail. Ruks emotions also can some how be understandable. Possibility of Baksi switching baby is nil. And I think Baksi loves her child very much. I want to see at least a little strong Baksi due to her love for her child. I want her to think of her child's well being even if she wants to hate Jodha, I done mind coz Jalal is there with Jodha and that is the only thing Jodha wants.

Coming to Ruks, she is crazy like split personality. What trigger her insanity is the word MUZ. This word should be banned around ruks earshot. Its clear that she wants to share the twin children. But does ruks have the patients to wait until delivery of the babies to ask her wish. Does she have the brain to think what if the children are girls coz in Agra when one is pregnant it is assumed that it is waris, male. Only JJ are exception. She is short sighted person. Her plans always have jumbo size loopholes. I want Jalal to realise the intention of Ruks when she make the wish and she can be easily tricked too. I dont want Jalal act majboor or Jodha all sad but gives the child away. Let him out smart ruks. I dont like this baby being separated from mother when we know how responsible is Ruks or anyone in Agra. Another question is how can maham kill the babies being in jail? she needs outside and a perfect partner would be Ruks. Will Shariff join in too? We viewers going to be tortured by this mentally imbalanced people of Agra paagalkhana.
