I admit I am a bit disappointed with last week's ratings. The kind of smashing episodes we had I was expecting a TVM of more than 10,000. My interpretation of this is that a chunk of the audience left the show because of the horrible tracks over the past few months. Some ground has been recovered in the past 2 weeks but more needs to be done.

A buzz needs to be created about JA to take ratings to the next level. Only a high romance quotient can create that. I have listed three options with successively increasing degree of risk.

Option 1- Historical. Bring more romance in the present situation. Jalal takes care of Jodha, nok jhoks and after death of twins consoling each other leading to romance

Option 2- Fictional. Suggested a few pages back in this thread. Jodha suffers a terrible shock because of the twin's death, loses her memory of the past year and goes to Amer. Jalal follows her there and woos her again. I know the scenario is fantastic but this serial has seen more ridiculous situations then that. It is situation similar to movies like 50 first dates.

This scenario offers the chance of a clean reboot of the serial and a return to the early days of hatred and passions.

Option 3- I hate this option but if the low level of romance is not because of the CV's but because one of the leads is reluctant to do it, then either go for a replacement or take a leap and introduce Salim's love story. This option though has very little chance of success, too late for replacement and this serial is Jodha Akbar not Salim Anarkali.

N anyways, from the economics point of view as well as from the entertainment point of view, romance has to be balanced with history, for the show to move on...how much of history n war can they show, after all?...it would become expensive foe the PH as well as a tad bit boring for the viewer...

They have to spice up the show with JA love story...with a proper mix of emotions, love, caring, sparks, etc...this is not expensive to shoot for the PH...n appeals to the viewers.
