Rashmi, your POV is also right...this one deed of Jalal, embedded inside it many emotions, multiple gestures...it was a sorry from an Emperor to the Almighty

it was a deed from a husband to fulfill his wife's vow and give her that release from guilt of marrying the person, she vowed to bring head of.

it was a deed of a lover to feel one with his beloved

it was a deed of an Emperor to feel one with his subjects he is ruling, majority of which are of different religion than him, and thus belong to the country he is born in.

This one act of his can have so many perspectives, so many dimensions.

i think maybe jalal knew the mandir was looted, but tht time he didnt knew how serious it was bcoz BK never let him to know the full truth & he wasnt much worried tht time bcoz tht time he was invading lands & just trying to expand his land. & tht time BK's influence was very big on him. but when he heard jodha's description he realized how cruel it was.

@rashmi, jalal actually bowed down before jodha told him about the mandir kand. after jodha told him he was really very disappointed & actually ordered atgha so tht these things never get repeated.
