But then, despite facing all kinds of insane plotting, their love flourished...n blossomed...this is the love story which people remember even today after 400+ years...would you & I be interested in a "lust " story???...definitely not...

By saying this, we are only demeaning JJ love for each other, which it does not deserve...imho...

Jallu could not have gotten Jo any other way except marriage...she would have commited jauhar...

Ela, if all Jalal was interested was satiating lust, then he could have made Jodha submit to him with or without marriage using Amer as leverage and she could have done nothing about it except hate him, and curse her fate. One Jalal's eye was fixed in getting the Rajputs on his side preferably thru friendship and relation and if not by subjugation. Two Jalal wanted her to come to him of her own free will becoz that is the kind of man he is - even that girl in the marketplace in the earliest episodes - he lets her go after showing her man up becoz she did not want to be with him. So if Jalal had just wanted to satisfy his lust then he would have done so and Jodha would have not been able to do anything about it - even today there is no good safeguard against marital rape despite this being the 21st century and that is a fact.

But where is the free will of Jodha? Jodha went to him becoz she trusted him...believed him when he said she was his Radha...so gave herself to him whole heartedly...what about Jalal? what has Jo done is so bad that he said that he no longer loves Jodha...Just few days back he told Jodha that "she is the most pyaari begum in the world"...and suddenly he says that she is a wife who cant make her husband happy? What should we understand by this?

I have no problem with ppl who say that Jallu is faking...If he is then I am willing to understand his point of view to a large extent...

But I do have problems with ppl who feel Jalal is absolutely justified in going to Afifa and it is Jodha's fault...Is Jo's fault of bigger then Ruku who made Jalal look like an absolute idiot so many times ...not just in fake pregnancy issue but also during Ben track...

If Jalal cant be happy with Jodha then it is his destiny that he be lonely all his life and live a life of casanova...He will belong to NO ONE and no one will belong to him...

Ela, Jalal going to Atifa due to Jodha's attitude - possible since such situations do happen both with men and women - and its only justification is the momentary release and escapism that it would provide - and it can happen - but that does not make what Jalal has for Jodha as lust - unless he truly no longer feels anything for Jodha - which is not the case - In his equations with all the other wives and concubines in his harem - once he slept with them he no longer has any thoughts of them - for Ruqs his feelings are more of friends with fringe benefits but even here he has no connect with her beyond a feeling of camaraderie - with Jodha, whether she is with him or away, his thoughts, his feelings, his entire being and his soul has been connected to her - he has not even needed physical proximity to be connected to her - so it cannot be called lust.

remember even today there do come times when even we are attracted to others - though we may be committed to one - we may act upon it or we may not - but that was the 16th Century and when a man especially the King was attracted to a woman, then he did act upon it - its like an itch - once scratched it goes away - but that does not mean the man or the King cannot Love or his Love is only Lust - the problem is that we are looking at Love as a physical and verbal statement - when in actuality it is a silent language of the soul - and hence can never be explained.

In fact, I actually would have loved to see a scenario as mentioned by Shyamala and Mandy, but unfortunately EK does not have the sensitivity to carry it off - and it also cannot be done in 6 episodes the way this Atifa kissa is being shown - it requires a gradual build up - beginning with the attraction which builds up and finally escalates into a physical release and then fizzles out.

Yahan the biggest point which is against this scenario is the Zinakari accusation that would put Jalal's throne in jeopardy - which he knows - in such a situation if he was really attracted and wanted Atifa, he would have got her in an extremely subtle manner that would have ensured his throne's safety, his image remaining intact and his getting the girl.

Why will a person go against his own religion just to get a woman on bed? He bowed down in front of the idol which is against his religion? Whtever maybe the issue just to get one woman on bed he will never bent his own rules come wht may. Neither he will cry buckets nor go to door to door to find one woman. Whtever maybe the issue he wont leave all his works behind. His self talks his behavior when he 1st saw jodha with sujamal despite being drunk he didn't even touch jodha nd no jodha wouldnt have responded if his love was not genuine. Jodha is not the person who will give up just bcoz he said ur my radha. She hated this person to the extreme so its not possible tht she fell for him without any feelings from the other person. He maybe wrong he maybe the worst person but his feelings for jodha was always pure nd not just for the bed. 2ndly if he really wanted jodha to get lost he would have done tht after taking away the kids bcoz its his kids. Ok he may not care about jodha but doesn't care about his own babies tht too he is going to be a dad after a long time who always had a fear to loose his babies. In 16th century many came nd go but tht love for one was always there.

ok lets presume that it is an itch or escapism on jalal's part ..Does it justify that extremely cruel behavior to his pregnant wife? Now since we are presuming that Jallu is really attracted to afifa then what did he feel for Jo? he is repeating same dialogues to Papita.? Does he really respect Jo...and your saying that Jallu has only frienship with Ruku and he slept with Jo when she was pregnant...but did he ever treat Ruku like this? He was most considerate father to be when Ruku was pregnant.

I am sorry but if Jalal is not faking then he is falling very low in our eyes...

And adi you like Jallu a lot and I appreciate it but please remember Jo is also a human being...Will her feelings and love will remain same when Jalal returns to her? Do you expect same devotion from her for Jalal? Do you have any idea what a pregnant Jo must be going through? Does she really deserve it?

Where is the difference between love and attraction?

True Aniana.
Jalaal is a human, not to mention a 16th century monarch. Now the last word, may not sound like much, but, it does play a role in shaping a person's attitude.

Why 16th century, even today, there are instances of lines getting blurred, when power is a part of equation, and I am talking about politicians, who don't have a hundredth of power as Akbar.

But, yes, I fervently hope it's TE, because, that's the only scenario where Jalaal would end up triumphant at the end of the track, this being a glorified SBS, any iota of real attraction towards Atifa would be nipped in the bud by the girl gang, and Jalaal would be brought back from his erring ways, with a thrashing with a bunch of neem leaves if necessary (when they can have a Chilli war, why not this?) 😡😆

Firstly Ela, here Jalal is not attracted to Atifa, let me make that clear - Atifa is here not for Jalal but for Jodha and this was a connect that Jalal made when he caught her in the hamam at a time when Jodha was supposed to have been there - and this act by Jalal is to deflect Atifa's attention to himself - thus he has made her loose her own focus and hence react to his every move

Do not mix the Atifa case with the Jalal - Jodha interactions on the Khyber and Rajvanshi princess issues Ela - even if Atifa had not been there Jodha would have faced Jalal's anger and ire over both - but since Atifa does happen to be here and Jalal is deflecting Atifa by acting enamored of her, he is using his frustrated ire with Jodha to give credence to his supposed attraction for Atifa thats all.

If this is an itch or attraction for Paita which is making Jalal behave this way then I want Jo to open her eyes and see Jalal for what he is...A man who can not be trusted...his words all lies...he doesn't love her nor have any respect for her...or her babies...What he tells Jo , he will repeat same words to Paita and then to some one else...
Jo should become wise and milk Jalal for what she can get out of him...and get out of this Pati Parmeshwar sydrome...

Adi I am not saying any thing against Jalal who is faking it...Plz read my posts carefully...My answers are for those who say Jallu is attracted towards Papita and worse they are justifying it...This is what hurting us...

I am not mixing Papita and KZ...not at all ...and many times I have said that both JJ are right in their places ut I understand how Jo will feel seeing KZ dead...She is not Ruku...
