thank you sandhya! i hope i do not get to see buckets of tears and apologies from jalal at the end of this track!

if Jalal is not faking his affections, then this started even before the khyber tiff with Jo surfaced. And perhaps the reason for this is Jalal's need to feel like a "man" in his equation with Jo. Men have egos but big men have bigger egos, and nothing could be more satisfying to male ego than rescuing a damsel in distress, that is the most absolute reaffirmation of his masculinity. With Jo always being the protector, being his equal and being independent - Jalal the husband is feeling insecure. He even said this to Jo,that I am sorry I could not protect you or my kids. For an emperor, that's an inherent insult right there. In Atifa he sees someone, who needs his protection, who needs his care versus jodha who loves him dearly but is apparently pretty self sufficient.

Jalal has always felt the need for jodha, but Atifa appeals to his need of being needed.

Mandy - fantastic post, and yes he seeks out Atifa as an escape from pressures of being with jodha. And yes, Jo's timing, if not her intent in revoking khyber's death sentence. She was wrong both as a queen and as a wife - as a queen once king had given his verdict, she should not have asked him to take it back, as a wife - your difference of opinion with your husband should not be apparent to a third person, let alone his awaam.

But having said that, escapism is an immature way to handle stress, this way you just end up exchanging one set of problems with another set of issues.

agree word for word..well said👏

atifa is like a fresh breadth of air for him he does not want any stress from jodha because jodha is a strong personality and she forces her opinion upon him, and that is hurting a male's ego..he just wants to get away from her for the time being!

they both do not love each other mandy...as you said for jalal she is a temporary respite and for papita he is a dream every little girl has...the Emperor showering her with gifts and attention..the perfect fairy tale for a common housewife with a man who does not care for her

it is like a mirage in a desert ..something which is soothing but unreal...atifa cannot handle the whole jalal ever and jalal cannot stand weaklings in his life ever...

Excellent post mandy
Actually we should see where jalal is coming from
His authority as a king has been challenged..he was captured because he thought by the heart to think for his sister.
He fell down as an emperoro and his women won him the battle.
So he has started to assert himself he cant alwayas sugarcoat and pardon prisoners.
This step of jodha is as silly as the party for a khwaja sera.
Btw jalal never said to her that I will be a one woman man now.But I think after the track he will realise what jodha means to him.
She cant be substitued by any woman who has the looks and who can sing good.
Jodha might be silly at times, might be irritatinglu mahaan at times but he will realise she rules his heart.
Reality check will also come for jodha
She as you said was taking all for granted
Now she will learn that she has a big man as husband and she has to be alert.
She needed the much needed check that every woman is behind her husband and the jealous and possessive streak comes back in her.
Last time we saw him lecturing meena bazar should be for all your begums
And she also willingly shared rukku beside jalal
So jalal got the impression jodha is satisfied with power of MUZ and has no room left to respect him.
Hameeda also got the same inkling though its wrong
Jodha only desires love she is not after any post or status.
So in pregnancy women behave ina weird way likewise jalal also is acting as a man with a bruised ego...and .this is not escapism mandy
A temporary retreat by both the lovers
One is in adrenaline rush and other is under pregnancy sway.
Jodha feels insecure as she is pregnant and jalal is now away from her and he has many other begums
Jalal on the other hand is insecure as his woman is taking his rulings for granted
So both became meherbaan on garbage..
Khyber though deserves mercy not unwanted attention likewise atifa also deserves mercy not unwanted attention.
This mutual insecurity has led them to the tiff
My only grumble is jodha being unattended in pregnancy..
Not only by jalal but by all.
I would have loved teda jalal pampering her I indirectly saying in doing this for my kids.but no cvs got the cliched route
Lets see na jaane ja ke pahuchega kahan par karwan apna.

peepu, another beautiful point on how relationships can go sideways..when gap between two people increase there are chances of other s to jump in and that is exactly what is happening..i know the whole situation will be dramatized to the extent that jalal will be shown all wrong and jodha the abla naari since she is pregnant and at the end we know all will be fine..and that is how love flourishes when people realize their mistakes and come out of it stronger than before!

There are some sort of provocation for desire , difficulty in resisting but can't extinguished that attraction and desire that are bringing them close to each other so much to get the gut to break all limits, prejudices and rules they have between , and that's the provocation and resisting to the strong desire that making their scenes really worth watching and interesting ! You were complaining that Atifa's puffed cheeks but don't you find her glowing and gorgeous today during the sweat weeping scene without any imperfections to notice in her and her make-up did it perfectly , this particular scene was a very passionate one with Rajat's sensual faces not to mention , I rewatch this scene again and again and both Rajat and actress playing Atifa were PERFECT ! I loved also when Atifa while weeping his sweats on face was timidly shying and looking at his handsome face ☺️ They were so close , face to face and Jalal's corner smiles and faces were to die for ☺️

sweetu, i too am enjoying their scenes because the passion i was looking in akhda scenes i found here and rajat is being so brilliant these days that i just cannot keep my eyes off of him☺️

You know, I have to write this...don't know how I'll be perceived, but I was laughing my heads off, when yesterday Jodha shrieked and became fanatic that how can Jalal love other...I mean come on lady, I surely don't agree you're an ostrich to reality...I mean, OK it hurts...and a lot, but surely that doesn't prove Jalal doesn't love you...and all he said was false.

When she said to SB, "humein pata hai unke bahut saari begumein hain, aur unhe sabse prem karna chahiye, parantu unhone kaha toh woh sada sabse ADHIK humse prem karengein"
...I was flabbergasted, this can't be "mhaari Jodha"...surely pregnancy hormones are playing havoc on her senses😆
