guys i think this fri we have jalal declaring to jodha his intention of marrying atifa and mon we have jodha crying n planning to leave, tues we have khyber n jo scene as shown in SBS and then fighting till fri where we have jodha being declared in danger. so i m planning to start rewatching the serial from tuesday when we start to see some signs of redemption.

You are saying that we should look at Jalal-Jodha and Afita tracks differently. However, it is Atifa who is affecting Jalal's behavior towards EVERYBODY else. So how can atifa not be blamed?

I hope that Jalal is acting and he knows Atifa truth. This is what I would LOVE to watch. Then I would feel very upset with Jalal cos he is behaving very harshly with Pregnant Jodha and his babies - in private also! Surely in private he can show her his concern.

However, his actions are pointing that he is not pretending but is actually under some evil spell.

The Jalal we know might change but NEVER change so drastically in few days. So for him to change so much he has to be under some influence.
If this was shown gradually he getting attracted to Atifa can happen.

He has a HUGE ego and if he had big clashes with Jodha THEN LATER he might have got attracted to atifa to spite Jodha - like in Ben track but REAL attraction this time.

However, when Jalal started getting attracted to Atifa there was no clash between him and Jodha at all. So Jalal has to be under some spell.

I think Jalal's reaction about Khyber is not wrong - the punishment was.

What Jodha and Adga pointed out is the truth - Khyber is used by someone else to get him to do this. How can Khyber escape from jail and not be seen by all these guards who are guarding the haram? Cos Jalal himself told Jodha he had increased security (big joke!).

So why did Jalal NOT think this is true. If he is pretending he does not have to pretend about investigating this.

Jalal felt guilty that he was out flirting with atifa while all this happened. So to ward off his guilt he is punishing khyber more harshly.

What someone wrote is true, if Khyber was just a darinda why did he not attack anybody after he got out. They showed him pass Ruk and SB hojaras but he did not do any harm. So Khyber did not pose any threat.

I agree Jalal is right that anyone getting into his haram is wrong and punishable. However, Khyber is bit like Shehnaz pretended to be - not all there mentally!

If Atifa was not in Jalal's life then Jalal would have not been away on shikar, he should have been with Jodha! Jalal even if he was away would have been very worried about Jodha and his babies and he would not have behaved so harshly with Jodha.

If they had a calm discussion instead of shouting by Jalal then he might have understood that killing of Khyber esp during Ramzan would be over reaction. Jalal could have got Khyber sent away somewhere away from Agra. Clearly he knows someone helped Khyber. Surely this helper is a bigger risk than Khyber. This investigation is a priority. Adga voiced this thought that there must be a secret way, SD talking this way about Jodha is not right, surely Jalal should have listened to what Adga said.

If Jalal is behaving THIS WAY ALL THE TIME COS HE IS UNDER CONSTANT WATCH then it says very poorly about his palace and loyalty of his men to him!

Jodha just saved a person who had saved her babies and for her that is big thing. Jodha has not seen Khyber behave badly with anybody after that, rather he has been flogged.

I think WHY they showed the public scene where Jalal thinks he as Shehenshah was insulted? Cos he took the decision with his ego and now his ego is hurt. Jodha did not ask for Khyber's life to be spared out of ego! Only cos she did not want Jalal to do this in Ramzan. Even Adga agreed with her. So the public scene and Jalal getting further into rage is cos so Jodha can now be treated even more harshly,
Ruk can gloat and tell Jodha that Jalal got her so now he has moved on to Atifa
so that Jalal can justify his attraction for Atifa as his anger towards Jodha and behave even more disgustingly with her.
So he can declare love and marriage with Atifa without any guilt - after all he declared Jodha is not fit for his love!

The truth is THIS JALAL IS NOT FIT FOR JODHA'S LOVE AND DEVOTION
He is under a spell and he has turned into a zombie. So this is not Jodha's Jalal - like she and Adga said he is a different person altogether!

What they will show is he was under a spell which will get broken when he gets some shock.
Even if they show he was under a spell and behaved this way - this track has created such ugly atmosphere that nothing Jalal does now can make him look good or make us believe that he loves Jodha.
There will always be a doubt when he will go on tangent like this? Next time there is a beautiful woman?

Jodha will be hugely insulted by every person who can talk in haram and elsewhere

Jalal will behave even more badly and harshly with Jodha.

I want Jodha to go back to Amer and leave Jalal with his Jaan Begum - she is what he seems to deserve!

Mansi, loved the green parts. It was a different perspective of not linking jalal-jodha dimensions with Jalal-atifa.

I want to share what i wrote regarding Jalal-atifa track in another thread:

Jalal-Atifa track:

Three possibilities and its effects and loopholes:

1) Jalal being Teda Jalal: Jalal knowing Atifa is an assassin and acting "attracted or interested" in her to show everyone and therefore ridiculous dialogues and scenes with Atgah (about love etc) and with Jodha to show how he has changed and does not care about his love and a woman he who giving him an heir.

This would be the best way to resurrect Teda Jalal. All fans -be it Jalal fans (esp.), Akdha fans and Jodha fans would be very happy. However, the problem is in order to do "drama" he caused or will cause unintentional mental stress to Jodha and his unborn kids which is not good for her health or his kids. but, he might have thought preventing direct physical danger to jodha and kids is better or more important than worrying about mental stress which might have less effect than real physical danger.

2) Jalal under spell or hypnotised: This would explain his changed behavior towards everyone esp. Jodha and even his OWN changing nature. It would totally justify his own behavior and his behavior towards everyone esp. Jodha.So, no one will blame him for anything.

But, the problem is that usually when some one is under spell or hypnotism, one does not realize it. So, it means there would be some other person (most likely Jodha and Atgah may be) who realizes it and diffuses the spell and rescues Jalal. There is nothing wrong with it except it would seem repetitive of Benz track unless something clicks or triggers Jalal's mind or something big happens that shakes Jalal out of hypnotism/spell without the help of a person. (the trigger could be an event or prayers or a miracle - it can be anything). After he realizes he is under spell then maybe they can show teda Jalal but it seems highly unlikely considering current Cvs.

If this happens, Akdha fans will be very happy for obvious reason and so would most Jodha and most Jalal fans. (except that the hope of Teda Jalal would be gone for this track unless after he comes out of spell by himself he acts Teda and get to the root of problem).Few Jodha fans might feel guilty or hurt/sad that they called Jalal by different names or that they had to eat their own words. Few Jalal fans might get mad if Jodha rescues him again while he is under spell.

3) Jalal is genuinely attracted or interested in Atifa or love(?) Atifa: If Atifa would have been unmarried then it would have made more sense if he was attracted to her. But, she is married (well at least that's what is shown so far). So, it really goes against Emperor Jalal, husband Jalal, lover Jalal and God-loving Jalal, too. This would also go against the main point of the epic love story.If he is NOT shown under spell or as teda jalal, then I really don't know what to say.he may be attracted but definitely not in love according to me unless CVS decide to show that.

If this happens, then be it Akdha fans, Jodha fans or Jalal fans, all would be devastated and angry. The reasons might be different- Akdha fans will be mad because their Akdha are not together in love and with each other, some Jodha fans will be mad because Jodha is hurt and Some Jalal fans will be mad because he will probably have to apologize to Jodha and they will not like it at all. One thing all fans will agree that Jalal's character would have been butchered even more than before.

Mansi, thanks for the analysis. Yesterday for the first time in many months I did not read your write-up, I was too upset with the episode, could not read anything.

Leaving aside all discussions about yesterday's episode a thought came to my mind. Why all of a sudden JA's story is nose-diving? Is Ek's PH trying to move a chunk of the audience to her other show(u know which one) in Zee. So that there is a decrease in TRP here and the other show might reach the top. Then both will be kind of balanced, as JA story will be picked up later after some time.

It may happen that some audience will be tired of the complicated painful story line in JA at present & might shift to the other show, which is light hearted at this moment. I checked Zee you tube & found out already the views for that show had become more than JA. I may be absolutely wrong, but if I am right then the loss is ours, the loyal fans of JA, who are hating this story line.

Wow nice take, I mean all the 3 takes. Whatever may the situation, even if is the 3rd option, there is a say that "Love just happens, it doesn't look at rich, poor, religion, caste good looking, ugly, young or old" It just happens and it doesn't follow the logic. So it will be Jodha's fault that she released his trapped heart from its cage and now it feels to enjoy all those missed out moments during his last 22 years of life.

But I second you on the Love aspect, even if he married Atifa, it will not be out of love but due to some attraction or yielding to some external pressure (like some one threatening him that unless he follows their orders, Jodha and her kids will face life threat and Kyber is one such example). That could be the reason Jalal was overly angry at Kyber.😊

Its that now he wanted to satisfy his physical pressure using atifa now..earlier it was jodha...now ready for another hunt...after atifa some other lady..be it a widow or married or unmarriex he doesnt matter...he il marry them just to satisfy his physical need...

After reading dhiksha post and comparing sbs yesterday i feel he doesnt deserve jo...he is worst than animal...

Ekta should have shown earlier itself that Jalal was going to the other begums as well apart from Ruks...Then the audience would not react adversely and know that he did give time for all begums...Just dialogues wont help...Now after showing explicit Ja-Jo relationship in the past year , and now showing Jalal lusting after a married woman, hurting Jo when she carrying the so wanted twins, doubting on her character AGAIN...They should literally come out and say this is not Akbar's life...This is Ekta's Jalal who is similar to her ohter heroes who will sleep with more than one woman(from few serials i havseen) creation and she is just borrowing a few pages from Akbarnama or whatever book ... Rename the serial as Ekta's Akbar..

Hi Mansi and everyone. I was always a silent reader and tried writing last one week. So now I would like introduce myself. I'm Purani( pronounced as Poorani) Malaysian Indian, Tamil. I never thought a serial could make me hooked and more than the serial itself this forum or specifically Mansi's tread that intrigued me. Thanks for this healthy platform of discussion where there is no bashing, venting yes, bringing the posivity like sunshine. Jodha Akbar attracted me coz situation in it has many similarity with current situation in my country(like muslim and non muslin community).

Now going to yesterday's episode, I agree with you that both issues should be address separately. But saying that Jalal indeed behaving weirdly which can be attributed to Atifa. There is very high possibility that he is under a spell and needs shock treatment to come to reality. Jodha's second kidnapping will do the job. But then all has been messed up, so we might see a tedha Jalal from that incident. Becoz for now it seems be he is not acting and have any plan. About the kidnapping, I think it is Shariff, may be with Ruks, might bring her somewhere but Kyber will safe the day. We and people surrounding jalal might not even realize the transition of being spell bound to tedha Jalal. Well this is what I think may happen coz i still believe in akdha.

Now yesterday is all about Kyber and his execution. There was a issue whether there can be death sentence being carried out during Ramadan month. Some was telling that Jalal has sinned by going hunting during this holy month. Well there is no where specifically mentioned in Quran that hunting is sin during ramadan, it is not haram, so it is perfectly alright. Coming back to death sentence, there is noting wrong becoz taking of once live in accordance with law is okay in Islam. Stoning to death is one such practice. But there are specific crimes which comes along with very high burden of prove. The punishment itself is okay from Jalal's side but without any investigation makes justice die. He makes it too personal. Yes his ego got hurt, so by killing a half human his ego and guilty self might be satisfied but what about the life of that person.

Things from Jodha's side. She is okay for any punishment but death.That to when that person actually saved her. She is opposing death penalty and she ask for Kyber's life. Well death sentence should be given only when the crime is very serious. Here Kyber is cannot even said to be human. He might have shown some emotion after meeting Jodha but his intellectual level is still the same. He does not have thinking capacity of normal human being. In today's term he is legally unsound and if he in today's world be acquitted. Whether it is Ramadan or not giving death penalty out of anger is not good for good shehensha. Hence, I support Jodha in this. But if Jalal has done investigation and sentence him to death then I would have supported Jalal even it is a harsh punishment.

Well there are many does not like both JJ forgiving criminals. Well came across this hadith when I searched to clear my doubts. "Wherever possible, do not inflict punishments (hudud; singular hadd) on Muslims; if there is a way out for someone, let him go. It is better for the ruler (al-imam) to err in forgiveness than for him to err in punishment."
