Thanks for this post Abhay! Wasn't aware of all these happenings!! All those who make such stupid rules are fools and don't realize that it causes harm to the forum itself!! their loss.

Dear Abhay,
Many Many Happy returns and welcome back.. Missed your posts terribly..Abhay, I am really disgusted with those who have locked your threads and really have robbed us of the pleasure of reading great historical information . Whatever said and done, Abhay.. you have taken so much pains to research and dig out this info for all of us.. really we cannot express our thanks in words.. words fall short.. Abhay.. please make your own Blog .. and give the link .. You should have a place where you can post your information without any restrictions .. I should not comment but I really fee its so ironical that they allow to post Fiction.. here but not real history...its very sad indeed..

God Bless you..

Hey Abhay,
Happy belated Birthday! Hope you had fun.

Now coming to the sticky thread rule, as you have rightly said, this does NOT benefit anyone. All of us here, have the freedom of speech and expression AND the Right to excercise this freedom. It is extremely disheartening to see your wonderful, knowledgeable threads closed due to some strictly undisclosed reasons. Well, if there are reasons, they should be stated, so we know there IS some issue here. But, as far as we can perceive, this is turning out to be counter productive for all us Forum members. Whatever they are showing in the show, may or may not be true. I quote from one of your threads.

No incident can be considered false or untrue if we don't have proofs for it. Just because we do not know, does not mean it doesn't exist. True or False, we need evidences.
The words are not the same... My apologies.I used to read the main pages in your threads though I knew I was missing out a lot by not reading the other pages which had useful information too.
Every page in your threads, EVERY single page had some good, necessary information. I do appreciate the hard work that went into all of that, and just wish the new rule could be revoked.
It grieves me that due to reporting by a few members, they had to be closed. As always, in any thread for that matter, if 10 people agree with it, there will be around the same number whose opinion differ.
Does that mean we have ZERO tolerance level to accept the fact that there is someone else out there who thinks differently and it may not necessarily be wrong? No. Not at all.
It is important in an open and free platform such as India Forums that people are allowed to voice out their opinions. Moreover, the one thread rule is not helping at all. I personally cannot find any information I want any time soon. Everyone is busy.
Who has the time to go through every SINGLE page and EVERY SINGLE comment on those pages in that ONE THREAD? Also, I have seen and gone through your threads. There is evidence for EVERY BIT OF INFORMATION there unlike other visual media where anything and everything is posted be it authentic or not.
Sadly, no one understands this. I wish you all the best and sincerely hope and pray that this issue is resolved soon.😛

Infact my interest in the serial tremendously increased only after reading ur posts.i remember how I was mesmarised by ur MUZ post, then went on to read all of them. How all of us were waiting eagerly fr ur posts on Akbar's kids😉😆

Not being offensive to the rule makers, I want to state following things.
1.Any serial gets connected to the viewers, if there is a platform, a forum wherein people watching the serial get to exchange ideas abt it.
2. Especially in case of historical serial, there bound to be different viewpoints based on diffnt. sources. Forum should allow freedom of expression at least in the doubts n discussion session, where people with less knowledge can hv advantage of acccessing the knowledge.
3.A different thread fr popular viewpoint makes forum more popular. Difference in opinions shud not make us rivals. Not stoop to the level of taking the knives out.
4.If threads r not interesting, not allowing proper researched things, then people will lose interest in the Forum, which will directly affect it's survival.
5. Which leads us,to the qstn. Do such rules which r detrimental to the survival of the Forum r necessary?
Happy birthday once again History-geek. May god fulfill all ur wishes.May u hv all the knowledge, prosperity, n health. Tum jiyo sau saal tak, tumhare posts rahe hazaron saal tak.Hope u continue to share ur knowledge with us.In case u r shifting ur thread to some other site pl. let me know.😃

Geeta

You have put the whole issue in a nutshell. If popular threads are not allowed, people lose interest in the forum.

And I totally endorse the line in bold. Any rule, which is putting off members by its restrictions, is asking to be thrown out.

He is not only an asset to the forum but to history also. His and KDR81's research is phenomenal. I am proud to know them and IF should be thankful they chose this platform to show their research.

I can't say more.

This is a beautiful thread 😳

Ann

Rightly said. The history threads here, not only of Abhay and KDR, but of everyone who makes them, are a precious resource that we all should be proud of.

Somehow we lack respect for our cultural wealth. We have spoiled our heritage and now, we are spoiling all records of our heritage too. So that when our kids grow up, they may think Indians were wild people who were civilized by the British. And there was no history before that.😕

Najma

You have captured the essence of the issue and explained it so well.

I agree. We need to have more tolerance, a "live and let live" philosophy" for differing POVs. Like someone said, if we have to clash, what is the guarantee that we won't clash on the sticky?

It is better to either agree in a friendly manner or accept disagreement gracefully.

@bold: So true. Unless we have proof to prove or disprove an event, we can neither accept it nor reject it. We cannot esp reject anything just because we do not believe it. We have to base all judgement on the basis of evidence. Not on our hunches and assumptions.

You have no idea how we much we missed you and the history related posts/comments your make on a regular basis...
Whole lot of questions related to JA events and characters and NONE to give the RIGHT and REFERENCED answer to them....Was feeling helpless by your absence...
Read your post Abhay and your reasons and I am completely in agreement to them... I am extremely saddened and disheartened with this rule as I have seen the STICKY and the drawbacks it carries...
I completely support the idea of your threads being re-opened and request concerned authorities to allow new history threads to made in Jodha Akbar forum, understanding the new developments that happen in the serial everyday...
I ALSO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO WISH YOU A HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND A BRIGHT FUTURE😃

Pallavi. Thank You for wishes.
Like many others have said, the sticky iis NOT at all a one-stop solution to anything.
Segregating history and Episode(as Fiction) is not possible. If that is the case then, why do we all ask after any spoiler that, Did this really happened.?.

The rule is Unique to this Forum, and can not be applied practically. Even right now, we have such discussions going on Episode threads. It is almost impossible to implement this rule...!!!..

The major issue being- Rules are for the Forum Welfare...But in this, the results are exactly opposite...When MAJORITY is un-happy then why Lock threads.?. under the garb of this rule.?.
There are NO answers..
Hence, a re-look is necessary..'coz after implementing many things, we come to know about the drawbacks and IM-practical aspects of those rules..

Yes Radhika, infact we all shud be indebted not only to abhay, but also to all those who r directly or indirectly n annonimously connected with his research👏.It was a treasure fr laymen like us.If we don't allow this also then what is the difference between us n the invaders?😲
