First of all congrats for seeing only the roses without the thorns. I for one always see them both together.

It is not WHAT is shown that matters but HOW it is shown. A little nuance, a flicker of change in facial expressions, an added dialogue changes the flavor of the proceeds completely. The most weird natakiya roopantar can be presented in the most acceptable way. Nobody complained when Jalal cried at the Mazhar. Nobody thought him weak then. It was well scripted well shot and well enacted.

But it is undeniable that the recent tracks are a big let down. The Todarmal track for instance, here Jalal does NOT get into an emotional rage as he usually does thinking Todarmal betrayed him as with Bakshi or MA or Jodha. He remains convinced that TM is innocent. Yet his inaction or non-time gaining and asking Jodha if she is happy is not justifiable at all. Had he been enraged at TM then what you say is right. But he wasn't. He was deliberately dumbed down for all the naari shakti arguments.

Again everyone knows that it is the CVs faults. But when Jalal or Jodha is blamed, it is not the real Akbar or HK nor the characters per se, but the CVs' presentation of the characters.

A beautiful analysis of the strange happenings in our serial in the past few months. A lot of what you say makes sense.

I still want to fast forward to Salim's birth. I believe the serial will get it's zing back, then. Salim is such a complicated character, he will make the lives of the CV's easy, they won't have to resort to craziness, like right now.

As for the Man Beast situation, I don't think Jalal will be the savior here, it is more likely to be a King Kong like scenario, one more admirer for Jodha.

On second thoughts, this King Kong like situation, which is how I expect it to play out, has good possibilities. A human being, treated like an animal learns to love another person. The beast could become Jodha's bodyguard. Of course, everything depends on how it is shown.

That still leaves the troublesome problem of how to rehabilitate Akbar.

What I would like from you is to bring in positive thread just like this one , when ever u get time.

I felt at peace after reading your post, You are extremely talented and even if you do not PM me, I will be one of your sincere fans and will make sure I read all your posts.

Recently I have been skimming through some of the threads where I have been a regular visitor. I am just tired and bored of reading people blaming weak jalal or Jodha for a weak Jalal. What can Jalal or Jodha do for weak CVS. So will look forward for more positive posts from you.

Still I will not say I am not enjoying JA. I look forward to watching my Jalal and Jodha..

GM, Sindhu!

Thanks for liking the post! You are just as positive as me, may be more. 😊

@bold: I always endeavor to write balanced posts. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes not. But I will definitely try to fulfill your request as much as I can! 😊

How do you do this?
When we feel everything is over and you come with a ray of Hope saying no it's not over.
When we feel oh gosh how this can happen and you come and say yes this has happened and will happen.
When we ridicule at the characters and you come and say why not guys can't they be humans.
When we become impulsive in our reactions of what we see and start throwing tantrums like a kid and you come like a mother pacifying and making the kid understand the situation.
We in front of you are cooks who just make a 2 min noodle but you are the cook who will labor in the kitchen and make that exquisite dish which not only satisfies the tongue and but it's taste lingers on the mind for days to come.
Keep it up dear.

You know, I wasn't always like this. I used to feel lost and depressed like you with earlier tracks. Then I found wonderful people here like Abhay, Mansi, Cleo, Maddy, Kaana, Kshiti, Diksha, Jaya, Donjas and many more who always try to remain positive about what is happening and what is likely to happen. Abhay, especially, would go to great lengths to show me that nothing the CVs could show was OTT and many similar things (and worse) had happened in reality too. 😆

So now I am more at peace with what's happening and take it all in my stride.

Just as the positivity of others has rubbed off on me, I would be glad if some of my positivity rubs off on others. Since we have decided to watch this show, let's do it with good cheer. 👍🏼

Radhika, you have patience in abundance, I maybe don't have enough.

I read your post as a summary of the Todarmal track and the War track which I skipped and only today I watched after 7 weeks. But I watched this show from episode 1 till the wedding in a marathon and so I differ a bit in my opinion of Jalal's capabilities. He showed a lot of sagacity at the start. But be that as it may, the current Jalal is as you have described and so is more relevant to the current tracks. I think we all agree that his biggest weakness is his loyalty to relatives and well wishers.

Is it confirmed that Jodha will suffer torture after being kidnapped? Watching today and seeing the way the hulk is being treated like a caged animal, immediately suggested to me that Jodha will find a way to free him from his Kabul masters. And this time, the whole crisis is better suited to Jodha handling it than trying to use it to show Jalal's heroism. War should have been his stage to shine, not this.

PB

Padbear,

We meet after a really long time! Hope you have been doing fine all this while! 😊

Jalal shows flashes of sagacity even now. But I have observed him to be an emotional person who lets his emotions get the better of him and his sagacity. Sometimes this works in his favor and sometimes it goes against him. So it's hard to say whether he should or shouldn't be led by his emotions. And going further, I will not judge whether his loyalty to those close to him is his weakness or not. The real Akbar did forgive his opponents (both close associates and strangers) several times before punishing them.

I cannot confirm Jodha will be tortured in captivity. I am going by what is shown in the promo where she is thrown to the ground by the hulk and shouts to the SS for help.

I agree the war was more suited for showcasing Jalal's abilities. But the CVs thought otherwise. If we keep insisting on our own personal expectations, we will not be able to enjoy the show, disappointed as we will be constantly by what we want and what is offered to us.

The CVs used the war to highlight the two groups of people who are for and against Jalal. The whole war was fought on a mental plane rather than on the battlefield. It was used to turn Mahachuchak Begum against Jodha too. It was used to show Nigar the error of her ways in trusting the wrong family.

Hence there was never any scope for Jalal in the war. Now the entire focus is on him as he tries to save his pregnant wife from a wild beast. May be Jodha will slowly discover that this wild beast isn't so bad after all and is being abused by Mahachuchak Begum. And she may go out of her way to protect him and enable him to escape from captivity along with herself. You have a good imagination and I like this scenario. 😊

But the track may be tweaked to show Jalal's heroism and strategic thinking as well as his mental strength. A man who was hovering all over Ruq in the Ruq FP track will be driven crazy if his expectant wife is kidnapped by a giant monster.

Do keep posting! I loved your posts a lot! 😊

Sandhya

Thank you - life is already too full of thorns. I do not give weightage to the thorns but prefer to smell the roses. This is what makes life worth living and living peacefully. 😊 And anyway I believe God made the roses for us and the thorns for those who dare to try and steal our roses from us.

Coming back to your post. I am not supporting the dumbing down of Jalal. I am only saying he is not so old and wise as to be always sagacious. I want to give him the benefit of doubt and the time to evolve and learn from his mistakes.

When a man feels betrayed, he may either burst out, like Jalal did with Jodha, or become silent, like Jalal did with Todarmal. His inaction was, undoubtedly, in my mind, a result of his being shocked by the turn of events and the presence of Todarmal at the center of it all.

CVs are twisting the plot to gain max mileage and there's nothing new in that. But instead of bemoaning this all the time, I would rather look at things more brightly and try to find ways in which I can enjoy the show.

Radhika, I take all your points on board and I watch now for fun. Today's episode was quite watchable and and that's all I ask at this point. EK likes to introduce strange cameos and that's something I like. Side characters can be quite entertaining and so I look forward to the hulk's encounter with my Jo. My Jo has nothing to do with historical Jo and I find her endearing at times.

Thanks!

Padbear feels Jodha will save the Man Beast from captivity. And your King Kong theory goes well with that. But in that case too, Jalal will be driven by insane jealousy and want to tear the hulk with his bare hands. 😆

Somehow, I don't think we will see the story past the birth of Salim. And as serials go, there is still a lot left to be stretched beyond tolerance before we reach that stage. I can be as cynical as I am hopeful. 😆

Hey Radhika!! Great write up!!👏
When we had given up hopes saying, we should stop relating ekta's Jalal with the real one, you brought us a ray of hope!😃
Yea, Jalal is new to emotions and love! We should give his some time!😊 You have rightly defended Jalal's,the so called weak behaviour,in all the tracks!👍🏼
Keep writing frequently! Its a treat to read your posts!🤗
