Jokes apart, imho, the primary reason for TV serials in India starting with a bang n then going astray, is
"NO BOUND SCRIPT"The trps clearly dictate the length of roles of characters, of tracks, of sub plots, of plots, etc...We saw a classic example most recently how TM was humiliated bec the channel wanted to fit in "Naari Shakti"...Other reasons, for JA going wrong, according to me are:1) mainly women watch daily teleshows, n have huge appetites for saas bahu melodramas2) Most women audiences adore the ultra feminist, always right, always bhaashaning heroine...3)Paridhi's discomfort for romantic scenes, which was initially the USP of the show...romance is an eyesore of late in JA...of course, even the cvs r to be blamed along with PS for this for writing rank bad scenes...4)An emerging universal trend, which I find very disturbing...villains n negativity are being increasingly accepted by all...be it shows n films or be it video games for kids, where they root for the villain to win...a reputed actor like Salman glorified corruption in Dabangg. ...Saif lootofies insurance companies in Race 1 & 2 n both films r super hits...many more examples...see the villains thriving in JA...they command promos, as against Akbar when he was given the title...think about it...
