I had a really tough time deciding what to do my take 5 on today ... there were so many options.
First, I considered how Ekta Kapoor has broken the boundaries of how warfare is done ... it is amazing. Top 5 weapons used ...
(1) Mirchi
(2) Mithi
(3) Poisoned hot water
(4) Oh yes, and some swords and arrows as needed
(5) And now, man-monsters ... as a khaas hatyaar ...
By the way, the man-monster reminded me of Bakasura from Mahabharat. What an inspiration! I am pretty sure the BR Chopra Mahabharat had a similar intro of Bakasura.
I wonder when the CVs will stop watching Sholay and watch things (or gaining things) like Sense and Sensibility! Oh that is Ekta Kapoor's other serial. Okay, what about Gone with the Wind, Zubeida, Jodha Akbar, Mughal-e-Azam?
And, it's magical, with these weapons, the war is over ... oh ya, the man-monster is still to come. Jalal did not even have to lift a finger. He is an impressive leader... he wins wars without doing a thing. I heard good leaders delegate ... and he is showing this massive capability.
So then I thought I could do a take 5 of the top things Jalal spends his time on:
(1) Well, if you are not doing the action yourself, the best thing you can do is thank people for the action they are doing on your behalf. And, Jalal is an expert at that. I was glad to see him thank everyone for their efforts - Maan Singh, Jodha, and all the other Begums. They all deserve it.
And if the mirchi war is the main war, then no wonder Jodha is credited for winning it.
I know , I should have known that was coming. Shehnaaz had laughed when she heard Jalal was bringing the harem with him ... will these women fight? And I should have known that was exactly what was going to happen.
(2) Fulfilling the wishes of his begums ... First he was hopping around his Khaas Begums. Now, he is promising wishes for all his begums .
Now, what defines a begum vs. a baandhi in the harem. The last I heard he had 5,000 people in his harem ... that will keep him busy for a long time.
I wonder what Ruqaiyya will ask for? Can they bring back Pinaaz Begum just for this? How exciting!
Maham Anga must really feel she got a raw deal that she didn't get a wish ... this was an easy opportunity for her to ask for the Dilli ki Taqt. She probably fought hard to get this opportunity.
Adham Khan also likely felt he got a raw deal ...
(3) Getting a spa treatment: Today, Jalal looked as fresh as ever. He must be enjoying the spa treatments. Abul Mali's oils must be very effective.
Did the CVs forget we like to see Jalal in the bathtub? I think I can sit through watching Jalal in the bathtub then watch MahaC with her young husband.
(4) Missing the biggest clues around him ... Supposedly, Jodha is the love of his life ... and he missed the glow that even Bharmal could see in Jodha.
But, he always misses the clues ...
(5) Yell at Jodha ... first, I agree partially that she should not have hidden the news from him ... at least after the war was won ... but this Jalal claimed he would not have gone to war if he knew the news. So, Jodha was right in hiding it from him till the war is over.
Also, it was sentimental how Jodha wanted to share the news in front of the throne ...The romantic in me will concede that.
I wonder how Jalal finds out?
But, Jalal, what is the point of yelling, when we all know you will finally admit his mistake? Don't you ever learn from your mistakes?
And then, lastly I considered what I would wish for if I was one of Jalal's begums:
(1) Fight in a war with your sword, defeat the enemy with your sword, and win (Nowadays, I realized I can't be generic if I wish for a war ... I have to be real specific)
(2) Practice with your sword every morning so I can see your twirls and teach me some moves to ... you can hold me from the back, I won't mind.
(3) Go on a romantic boat ride ... I promise I won't hesitate to give my hand ... I love boat rides but I am scared to get on the boat. How convenient!
(4) Pass a reform to eradicate corruption (that is my wish till date, today)
(5) Punish Nigar Aapa. This track has made my life miserable!
Guys, some days I love sarcasm ... this is one of them!
