Lovely post and Analysis Mansi. I haven't watched the episode yet but after reading that it pushed to the point of negativity I am wondering if I should
I wish as you say that they had given us a story which was closer to history and did justice to the real characters. But still if we look at it as a pure drama as a person above mentioned them yes the drama is goof

I am positive person too and there is no point getting dejected over a TV show and all off us know without Zee telling us that it will all be over. That it's just a matter of time. Still too much of drama sometimes does jarr on the nerves .
But just because nothing lasts for ever I am ready to live through this drama

Rightly written. Except that they want to raise our blood pressure, I see no point why Jalal was made captive. Was it to make us weep seeing the begins preparing themselves to drink poison. Will post later at length.

Hi Mansi,
Your review is wonderfully funny today and I'm glad to start my day with a good laugh.

I am not at all put off by what is being shown. It reminds me of so much of the movies from the 70s and 80s. 😆 Yes, it's all historical bunkum. But who cares? As we keep hearing, this is just fiction, inspired by history but not the real McCoy. 😉

Do you know why Jalal was captured so early in the war, after just 5 mins? Because Ekta had budgeted the war scenes for only 5 mins. 😆 It's cheaper to show Jalal in a cave-like room with just Abul mali and a couple of his henchmen. Esp in these recession-hit times.

30 hours. It sounds really good. Like a doctor telling a patient's family that the next 30 hours are going to decide whether the patient lives or dies. Here, of course, we know for sure that Jalal will live. So let's enjoy the overflow of tomato ketchup and the 😲 and 😭 expressions.

30 hours can translate to the whole of this week in terms of screen time. So let's enjoy ourselves the best we can! 😉

Mansi,
As always a lovely post.Well the amount of creative liberty taken is OTT these days by the cvs.
But still today I liked RTs performance when he was caught and tortured(though I fast forwarded torture scenes mostly) .And the girls gang was also good performance wise.
I think tomm they shouldn't show the torture much. But they should show the girls getting the news and preparing for the war.Well as far as mirchi war is concerned ,my mother-in- law gave me some inputs.Nowadays she is attending the lecture series on Maharana Pratap and over there ,the lecturer told that mirchi powder was used by Rajput women many times for their defense. So that mirchi war was explainable to me.Now off topic,I will share with you one thing ,that my MIL after attending these lectures is a always complaining about Akbar as the lecturer has portrayed , Akbar as a Villian. And I defend him badly telling that lecturer is wrong. Now Akbar and MP have become a reason for another Saas Bahu drama .😆
Now I really feel that tomm this Chand Begum should show her chand sa mukhada.Else I will wander on the street ,singing ,"Tu chupi hain kaha."
Really this Maham's ability of hiding her crimes and ,now hiding this chand begum for years is great.I now really feel that this MH370 is with MA.
That gorilla man is hilarious. But why such a huge man for delicate Jodha to kidnap. This work could be done by anybody ,give it to Shariff he would have loved it and won't even charge a penny.
Well like Britishers I will sing today,"God save the queen(s)." Oh lord, save the queens and our beloved King from the enemy .

Adianasr wanted me to post this on your thread Mansi...

"Zee has completely let its viewers down with this rubbish. Akbar is definitely not god but an Emperor is always bigger than the warrior or the man - the Emperor symbolises the Empire and his capture is loss of war, Empire and face - and it is for this reason kings and emperors are never used as bait only their look alikes are - the Emperor has to be protected at all cost and similarly if every member of the Army is killed even that decrees loss of war - these are the rules of war and of chess - and these are cold hard facts - even in mahabharat they are showing the same - keeping the Emperor safe and maintaining atleast some of the army - these facts cannot be played with - even for over dramatization and extreme natakiya rupanter."

We don't like so much melodrama, but the TRP aunties seem to love it, that why every serial does this kind of thing every now and then. I wish I could meet one of these TRP aunties one day and really ask: Why do you guys love this crappy stuff so much and why do you disappear when the serial is going good?
