Jodha and Jalal, they are really made for each other, she doesn't try to give any uchit anuchit lectures, how much we yearned for this version.
The scene where Salima crowns Jalal was very emotional, both Jalal and Salima emotes their pain so well.
Jodha without giving bhashan easily conveyed how important for his other two khaas begums to be part of the awaam meeting was good.
The last scene was very well done, the old man gets a simple letter with AKBAR on it, it was very touchy. Finally Jodha saying Humein bahut prem hain hamare Shehansha, Hamare "Akbar" and Jalal reading her lip sync
But my question is when did Jakal insist Jodha to call him by his name? Why didn't cv's show this "zid" to us ?

Overall very nice and hope cv's continue to give us such episodes

Yes, it was truly a fabulous episode for all the reasons you mention- the Jodha-Jalal connect, the Jalal-Salima scene, and Jodha having the two other khaas begums come.

The old man who gave him the Akbar title was very well selected.

On Jalal's zid- I thought he was saying it more forward looking saying I would ask you many a day but that would be the only say it that day. Maybe based on the lip sync he will ask her to say it again in person and she will refuse :)

Also, did you notice they showed Jodha and Jalal's bonding in many ways as well as the Jalal-Salima bonding- but there was no such connect between Jalal-Ruqaiyya. I thought it was very symbolic.

Divya ... i seriously loved ur takes today ... esp few points which really touched my heart ... no wonder today's epi was emotional & also loved jodha's proud feeling for her husband ... finally the jodha we were envisioning is slowly taking its shape ...😆

(2) Jalal investigated: 👏

(3) Jalal created a vision: This point of yours my dear was👏 I loved the most ... & this also shows how farsighted Akbar was...

4)(4) Jalal stood up to opposition: AgainThis was not an easy journey from becoming jalaluddin mohammad to Akbar ... he had to face so much of hurdles & revolt from his own people & from his other enemies ... his vision , his sacrifice , his hardwork , have not gone waste ... Akbar is still etched very deeply in our hearts even after 500 years ...

(5) Jalal gave credit to those around him - A true shehenshah & a great emperor in all essence ... no doubt about it !!

Thanks so much! Yes I love Akbar / Jalal as the visionary- it is so hard to first imagine a vision and then execute it.

About Jodha- perhaps as Adia said, we needed Jodha to completely surrender in love to see the Jodha we always wanted or else there was always a barrier of formality.

But the dialogues were more like I always asked you and you refused and that was the first time you took my name.

With Salima, he has bonding of BK's emotions and she reflects BK to him, so he will always look upto her. And with Jodha, she is above all to him, she is his soul, love/wife he always wanted to have. Ruq's was a friend, but with her shallowness, she will never be able to get back to where she was, as she never understands his needs, its all about herself, her likes, her control, her love.

When Salima was about to crown him; both him and Salima shared those moments of grief in the DEK at the loss of their mentor that none other could really understand the depths of. It was a scene of such poignancy that I was awestruck. Salima being unable to step forth and Jalal watching her in sadness. He understood her plight but he was in an awkward position. After all, as a husband it would be difficult for him to comfort his wife about her mourning for her late husband! So, HB had to step forth. Nevertheless, it was one of those rare JA moments for me...</font>

Thanks so much Shraddha! I am on the phone for most of the day so the formatting on this one is going to be terrible.

Loved your description of the "moment" with the short, young man in the center.

Yes, I focused more on the journey- as it was a very fulfilling experience for me. Hence, I did not elaborate on the Jalal-Salima scene.

But thanks so much for re-creating it so beautifully. I loved it for four reasons:
- Jalal recognizing Salima's pain
- HB coming forward to support her
- Symbolic of Salima always having a regal role in his life
- His gratitude to BK of for who he was (that I also mentioned in my take)

Thanks!

Divya loved your Take 5 today, dedicated to Jalal..sorry AKBAR..and you nailed it.

Words cannot describe how much i loved todays episode. Almost every scene today was beautiful, Jalal- Salima, Jodha-Jalal and Jalal- Awaam. But the last few minutes , old hindu man praising Jalal and presenting him the title, just written on a piece of paper, was so simple but yet very powerful. Special mention to Rajat on that entire scene, just perfect expressions.
The whole felicitation scene was so powerful and emotional, and Jodha's words at the end just sealed the deal..., i had tears in my eyes and i was surprised that i could be that emotional. Thats the power of a beautiful script i guess and full marks to the CV's. Beautiful screenplay and wonderful acting by Rajat and Pari.👏

Just wow..and speechless..👏

Thanks so much! The moment was beautiful and touching and for me it was because of the journey- hence, I focused on the journey to Akbar. Glad you liked it.

Yes the whole episode was well scripted and enacted- hats off to Rajat, Jodha, and Manisha, as well as the old man who gave him the title!
