Because both decieved Jalal and like I said, others got punished and then forgiven and the reason MA and Ruq's are being compared because these two women are very important women in his life, they were/are his strength/support, so why compare with others??
And you mentioned in your other post that Bakshi Bano received punishment and then was forgiven? Why go the round about way when Jalal has learned the importance of forgiving?
MA and Ruq matter more to him than BB, so I don't even want to compare BB here, and I am talking about 3 imporant women in life which he had told in initial episodes and they are emotional support and he trusts them blindly.

Let's see what MA does ...
I am sure she will open it in DEK or with lot of people around, but she will, because there is no other reason for showing MA knowing the truth about fake pregnancy, bandhi being killed and also Ruq's gloating about her intelligence for putting bandhi in her place for Pregnancy checking

If Jalal was questioned by MA in the DEK- I would like him to say it was a personal affair ... And I as the wronged have the right to decide. Ruqs hurt only me by her actions, but your action put the safety of the harem at risk, made many Mughal soldiers lose their life ... And I have made the decision to forgive others in the past, including your son Adham Khan, and you did not question it then.
Yes he can say that, but do you think he will say that? The moment she screams of being unfair in judgement and he was biased to Ruq's, he will hang is head down with guilt. I really doubt he will compare about the soldiers died due to this, because during initial punishment itself he did not mention about it, so this time, why will he do that?

CVs, are you listening? 😆

And the fact that she so readily saw what Jalal did not- That he had been avoiding Ruq & distancing himself from her which made her take this (INSANE) step.

Am not supporting Ruq or defending Jalal or praising Jodha.
But the fact is that Jalal does neglect Ruq esp after Jodha's entry into his Life. Earlier he atleast used to run to her to plot with her on how to annoy Jodha more. 😆 since he's still a 13 year old Emperor in his head. 😆

But since a long time now, ALL he does is sing his Jodha-Jaap. And even when he does meet Ruq, it doesn't take him more than 5 minutes to launch into his I-Love-Jodha-She is Mahaantaa ki Murat-Hunar-ki-Mallika Jaap. 😡

it is like a miracle you loved Jodha ... And I am liking her more reading all your posts 😆

My dear, that is VERY flattering, and I have rarely been as touched as I was by @ blue.

But it took me 4 1/2 hours to draft and edit! There was no way I could have done it last night.

Moreover, I do not do episode analyses here any more, since the last 2 months; the way things are run here does not suit me. It was young Divya who read this post where I had put it up, and wanted me to post it on her thread, so I did it. I hope you will join us there regularly in the future.

The point for me is that I write what I feel at any given time. I love Jalal, and Rajat, but I do not hesitate to criticise him or Rajat when I feel it is called for. Most people do not understand that I am no one's fan, and I do NOT "bash" anyone just for the heck of it. So they are astonished when I praise Jodha. But I praise her, and Paridhi, when I feel she needs to be praised, that is all. Which is another reason I do not come here but very rarely, I do not like these all out wars against one character or the other, mostly against Jalal, and mostly without rhyme or reason.

But I am delighted that you liked this one so much. Thanks a million.

Somehow, I did not see was Jalal said to Ruqaiya in the end as a last warning,or a menace , but as a kind of clear bottom line. I hope Ruqaiya heeds it. But of course one can read what one wants in the expressions in Rajat's eyes!

Shyamala

i had realised that and knew you moved away and it was sheer laziness that stopped me from posting in another forum although i read your post...besides i had given up more or less on this show ..but the hope that we may actually see some political affair and a couple that does not fight separate unite fight separate unite has made me stay back...i have decided to give this show another month and see how it fairs...

i always knew there would be a triangle but a tiny hope was there that it would be handled maturely but alas...

and what you say as clear bottom line i used the final warning phrase meaning that it was firm and final ...and yes his rubbing her head was scary ,you could see the fear in ruqaiyya more than relief ..

as for actors ,this is their job and we are the critics..so if we praise them we have the right to pull them up for bad work as well...and i do not believe in taking any fan base seriously ...they can never be rational

Yes, Jalal controlled his anger well .

I think Ruqs understand the magnitude of her crime - Jalal is so hurt ... He does not even want to share his anger with her anymore.

Exactly... and that's Ruq's punishment. ... one day she will understand this I hope sincerely

Raksha my dear girl,

I have never before gone to as much trouble to find a post as I have done for this, trawling thru over 10 pages, but it was worth it!😉 Loved the parts in blue, and some not just because you have read and liked my last post! Let us all belong to the enlightened minority, shall we?

You should read my latest, either in my new home, or on page 12 here, where i have posted it to please Divya. You will be very pleased to see how I have anticipated your wish list, and been VERY kind to Jodha! But be forewarned, it is 51/2 pages long!

I would like you to comment on it in both places, just copy the one to the other, there is my good girl!

Divi,

Needless to say, a lot of hate-posts are floating around. And I guess I belong to the minority.

Though, my opinion on today's episode was already made up after Shyamala aunty's post, where she had explained why it would be better for Jalaal to rein in his anger and keep the matter in the wraps, to keep the validity of his future children alive.

That said, I felt Rajat's wonderful performance continued in today's episode as well, and it was more beautiful because it was understated. The way his voice cracked when he said he had lost his child, the meaningful pause, when he said "I am you friend" to Ruqaiyya while hugging her, and the silent warning in his eyes when he said, this should be your last dagaa, it was all wonderfully done.

It was in a way fair that Jodha be the one to understand Ruqaiyya's predicament. She had experienced the same insecurity on the SR night remember? It would have been catty for her to forgive her own insecurity and find fault in Ruqaiyya's. With every relationship there's an equal amount of prem and moh unless you're an ascetic. And Jodha realizes it now. Beautifully put, my dear.

That said, I feel what Jodha did was more out of concern for Jalaal than Ruqaiyya. She knew, Jalaal had lost too many of his near and dear ones and losing a childhood friend, would be a massive blow to him. So she took the wisest decision in the given situation. (I fervently hope, Shyamala aunty will be a bit partial to her today.) It happens in every household that women sometimes give up their egos and go with the flow, which is probably the reason why so many mom-in-laws get by with their bad behaviour.

While some feel, Ruqaiyya was unpunished, I feel she got the deserving punishment. Jalaal said if you need anything, just let me know. Would a friend ever tell that to another. Hell no! A friend would always know what the other wants and would be there for them. Today, Jalaal erected a wall of formality between himself and Ruqaiyya, and am sure the dope-head will take some time to realize. I am not so sure of this. He clearly feels the loss of the old days of their carefree companionship. I think he is trying to make up for his past neglect, but he is not really able to manage it; his heart is no longer quite in it, and he is pulled both ways.

I really liked the Ja Jo scene. There was comfort and homeliness there, I loved it.

Now coming to my favourite pre-occupation, did Shenu bond, actually understand what was going on, she saw a portion of food being tucked away and a Gwalior hakim (one more!) being led blind-folded to the cave. Will she deduce Maham's hand in it? The precap, is of course a dream or a nightmare depending on who's seeing it. Akbar ruled till he was 65, so it's pure balderdash to say he died when he was 23-24. See my last crack about the precap.

Wonderful episode. Wonderful post. 👍🏼

divi ..thank you for this wonderful post ..and loved the comments here especially Raksha ..wonderful analysis and you showed a completely different view from what many deciphered...i actually watched the episode repeat in the morning ...could not catch it last night

and i am no more annoyed like i was reading the update and joining the reactions...

the issue is when things break people realise it broke because they hear that sound and when that sound is not heard no one realises something broke...yesterday's episode was somewhat in that line...ruqaiyya Jalal broke...it was soundless but you could see the chasm ,the discomfort ,the distrust and the effort in the air when they were together...he was there ,he said things ,no affection,no adoration ,just plain mechanical words sprouting out..and then the mighty effort to put everything like old days...let us play chess...even he could not carry the charade any longer...hence off he walks off carrying the burden of his emotions and this relationship to the one person ...and breaks down in her arms...this was Jalal

the one with ruqaiyya was an automated version still trying to grasp the betrayal...he forgave but he did not forget...he refused to talk about it to ruqaiyya instead was ready to play chess..well it was like that right..play chess, smoke hukkah and plot more...

and the last scene when he turns and his deliberate rubbing of her head and the threat...the whole gesture was so menacing that even ruqaiyya was trembling...

and yes jodha was jodha ...and i knew she would seek forgiveness but my only complaint was not now not yet jodha not yet...but i understand where she is coming from..many a times we have taken a stand and support to ensure that the relationships dear to our loved ones do not break..we become peacemakers in our home..most women are...she understands the pain and hurt it will cause him once he punishes her in rage...she understands how all his relationships are slipping out of his hand because of their mistakes/crimes and his inability to forgive them...and she understood from where ruqaiyya was coming...her insecurity ...but she need not have given that kasam ..she should have left it to him to find the solution...

with ruqaiyya there are 2 ways open..one she repents and stops this nonsense or other once again she sees them close ,is fuelled by MA and does something more sinister riding high on her arrogance and confidence to get away with it...

Jalal's warning to her sounds omnious ...cvs have shown this track to tell audience that both Ja and Jo gave ruqaiyya one more chance ,understanding her insecurity ,so the next time she blunders and Jalal punishes her ,even the staunchest of ruqaiyya fan cannot question them...

and this is why i am reinstating what i said yesterday...Jalal should have chided her ,scolded her and made her realise the repercussions of her deed and then forgiven ...but instead he asks her to forget about it ...this will only grow in Ruqaiyya and will be her ultimate fall

if he had screamed at her ,shouted at her ,at least he would have opened up ...but instead his whole attitude right now is even more scarier...my gut feeling is telling me there dis more than what meets the eyes

and another thing MA may bring this up in DEK when she is caught...and publicly embarrass him ...hence ruqaiiya before you start your hukkah consumption and lose the rest of grey cells ...tell him that MA knows...or else he is going to rip you apart that MA knew all along about her

i also loved the last scene..jodha and Jalal have come even more closer to each other and she has become his emotional anchor ,the one on whom he relies the most...

loved how he said that along with him she also understands his relationships ...

Thanks so much for the beautiful post- my thread is made because of my responses like yours :)

My ipad keyboard is on strike; likely protesting overuse so am restricted to the phone.

Loved your thoughts and how beautifully you have described the silent ways in which things can break- simply beautiful!

Yes but a much lesser miracle to see Jodha NOT sermonize. 😉

She has splendid qualities which she should be allowed to show more ,rather than her hypocrisy & perennial Bhaashaans!!!!!

Am sure she'll be back to her original self in 1 episode but till the time she isn't, I love her. 😆

Contrary to what you believe- I do actually really like Jodha. 😉

No, no, Divya, Tripti does not love Jodha, she only loves the fact that she saved him from heartbreak, and seems nowadays to really care for and be protective of him. As I do, which is why I loved Jodha as Kajri.

The only one Tripti loves, truly, deeply, forever, is Rajat's Jalal, with his lambent (lovely word, my poppet!) speaking eyes.

You do know me , aunty don't you. 😊

Yes. I loved Jodha for truly being there for Jalal.

I loved the easy possessiveness & comfort in making Jalal's very broad shoulder, her head-rest.

I loved the way she defended Ruqaiyya because she herself has felt such jealousies, acutely.

I loved her for she loves Jalal in an easy, loving manner devoid of her perennial & famous BHAASHAANS.

Aunty is absolutely, completely, 10000000% CORRECT- The only one I love deeply, unabashed & (almost) un-conditionally- Is Rajat's lovely, layered (in the past 😡) Jalluludin Mohammad (AKBAR.)

NOW IF ONLY I find such a man in reality, I will fast twice a week so that I can keep him by side for the next 6 lives!!!!!! 😉
