yes, Jodha , as a woman, truly understood another woman ... And agreed that guilt is the best punishment.

Loved your other post but have not had the time yet to get to it ... Responding to this thread

Divya u made take 5 for this episode n actually ur last one abt Maham is only giving me hope or else This show is no more jodha akbar... I hv no hopes on zee as im sure they lied to all of us...

We all know Jo mahanta of forgiving so not to think abt her... It's Jallu who doesn't hv decision taking capability by seeing which is correct or wrong... It's jalal character which is butchered more than Jo... I loved wen Jallu dint listen to Jo in Maham case...I'm actually feeling pity for Maham and adham bcz just bcz they r from bandhi family rules n punishment r different wer as ppl lik rukayya and abulmali from royal families r forgiven... As per spoiler Jo wil cme to know that adham is behind this attack so Jallu wil also know... So wil Jallu punish adham?? Y shud adham b punished wen abulmali who attacked Jallu was forgiven in mathura just bcz he is behanoyi???Is this justice fair?? It's definitely not mistake it's gunah according to jalal...bakshi gunah itni hi bada nahi thi ki he called in DEK n stopped talking to her n rukayya gunah itni chitin nahi thi ki he shud forgive her immediately...

As Jo told him to forgive by making saugandh on kanha he has forgiven rukayya... If he had not met Jo on the way we all know wat punishment he wud hv given to rukayya... As shehenshah how can he keep saugandh for ppl n make justice? Dint he say to jodha during bakshi matter and Maham matter that all relations r to kept aside while giving judgement???

I seriously dnt hv hopes on Maham also... But I want her to tel evrythng abt rukayya infront of evryone wen she n her son gets punishment... I sound lik sadist but I really want Maham to insult Jallu n question him that y was rukayya matter hidden n not given punishment n y she deserves punishment?? JJ thinks no one knows this matter even HB Salima doesn't know... Little they know that this news is known to bomb which may explode at anytime... I really wish this happens n I'm waiting what wil Jallu answer her as it's insult to him to hide matter lik this...

I hope the posts on this thread have helped you feel a little bit about the episode ... But the more I read posts like Raksha, Sunny, and Shyamala Aunty ... The more I have come to understand what jodha and Jalal did ... It was not to be mahaan ... But they understand what Ruq's issue is and want to give her one chance to improve.

Most bakwaas epi of JA to date...being loving, forgiving & large hearted is one thing, & being outright foolish in an attempt to be MAHAAN is another. Jo is the most self righteous foolish person I have ever encountered as a viewer till date.

A king ought to punish all those who have been guilty. Jalal had been right when he banished Jo during Sujamal fiasco(the way he saw it)...Ruqu was guilty, n she ought to have been punished by Jalal. Period.
If Jo tried to stop the king from meting out punishment to the guilty, Jo should have issued a warning by the king. A big fat period.

A king ought to have a personality of his own, & should NOT be influenced to this extent by anyone...not even his favourite queen. This Jalal is a very, very weak emperor who has always been used as a puppet by MA, Ruqu, etc & now, Jo, as per their whims & fancy.

Not acceptable to me. Sorry.

This is not the first time Jodha and Jalal have forgiven someone- case in point, Bakshi, Sharif, Abu Mali, etc. so why is suddenly forgiving Ruqs an issue?

Jodha was not making the decision for Jalal yesterday ... She was showing him but he would have seen if he had not been angry,

Read Sunny / Shyamala Aunty's posts on page 12-13 - maybe it will make you feel better.

Nd jodha understood if jalal breaks down, even she cant heal it. Whtever maybe the issue jalal loves ruku nd jodha understood tht. She gave lectures to jalal bcoz she knows jalal will understand but ruku wont. People may argue tht why jalal listened jodha but thts bcoz he is feeling guilty nd thts jalal for u who always takes the blame even though others r also equally at fault. He did the same during the MU track as well.

Yes, definitely Jodha understood how much pain it would cause to Jalal but also
I think Jodha had to give that perspective and advice to Jalal yesterday:

(1) As she knows, Jalal doesn't think fully straight when he is angry
(2) He cannot understand a woman's perspective as well as her

Sorry. .. I m sure I m a minority here .:)... thanks for the beautiful post...

Thanks for the post- it looks like quite a few of us liked the episode.

Yes, Jalal controlled his anger well .

I think Ruqs understand the magnitude of her crime - Jalal is so hurt ... He does not even want to share his anger with her anymore.

My dearest girl,

You spoil me, but I am used to taking such lavish compliments with a spoonful of salt! ๐Ÿ˜‰This said, I am very glad that you liked this one so much, for I liked it a lot too.

Re: @ blue.
Logic and beauty need not go together. Last night, the script, the screenplay, and the acting all reinforced each other for all the 3 lead players, and that, to my mind, was the most important. There is rarely any logic in this story, the issue is only whether the take of any one or more characters moves you or not. So there is very little to be gained from defending the screenplay for any one episode, when it can so easily be stood on its head the next time around.

Plus, by the time you have answered all possible objections, you are ready to wind up, so you cannot put down what you did like a lot and why, or vice versa.

But I forget that yours is not a critical episode analysis; it is a listing of positives. But even so, I regret that you missed out the single most important one last night: the performances and then the script.

I would love to read a proper episode analysis of yours. Do try your hand at one; you will not regret it, and I will have so much fun reading it!

Thanx a lot for this much needed post ..๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ‘
Comin to the episode , ahhh alas als alas ,it must have hurted jodha supporters badly ...the reason is all we know ๐Ÿ˜•
But i as a viewer was highly surprised ..i dont know how to react ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
Yes yes m blabbering too much ..cutting things short if jalal kept things under wraps without having jodha in his way i wud have appreciated but cvs is a biggg let down .. A Shehenshah who vision to have whole of hindustan under his wraps is easily dictated by others , hw he ruled hindustan,m not sure ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ..If he was angry then damn it ,be it be it ! but y easily led by others ...Jodha gave him a seriies of saugandhs (which reminds me of sujamal fiasco ) How jalal n jodha r different here ?? Actually jodha is consistent to her character ..n yesterday she was at her best behaviour ...๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ..Everything is becoming unrealistic ...u know here ppl r saying if jodha is in rukaiyah place things wud be different ,may be i agree with them bcz there is no another jodha .. N on that fateful he was asking her innumerable times who is he ??(physical abuse is not needed) A man who sees his wife n another man doin eye talking cant think normal even in 21st century ...So i think we shud just stop comparing these two incidents ... Now that everything has ended in a bad taste in our mouth for several reason i just hope rulkaiya redeemed herself to be really with jalal ๐Ÿ˜ณ. Taht menancing ,threathening lok of jalal wen he was pressing her head wasโ˜บ๏ธ..(was scary indeed but m mad too)๐Ÿ˜†. Nothing wud be same for these two buddy bcz they both held responsible for that ...
Jalal intead of pacifying her , making her c reason he was endearing her with statements like i also didnt like(jaan ,hug pe hug audience dont want such scenes right ?)๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ jalal must have chid her , he ought to wen alone ๐Ÿ˜ก. I m very sure n i want also Maham to raise this question bcz both betrayed mughal sultanate...๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก.. Jalal has no sense of justice in this show ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ

Thanks Hena, I thought long and hard of why Jalal did not yell at Ruqs ... (1) Yelling is not the only way to show hurt and anger ... And Sunny and Raksha have described that beautifully

(2) He tried yelling in the murthi khaand ... And Ruqs just ends up resenting that because of Jodha, Jalal yelled at me and does not learn her lesson. Perhaps, his silence is even more powerful as it will force Ruqs to introspect instead of fight back

Mandyg a very rational post and it miss what happens in many families the concept which very few new age people can digest. I can say it maybe because of the nuclear family we in current age live in No body wants to clean their dirty linen in public and burying skeletons in cupboards all the proverbs have come all because of such incidents.
How can Akbar tell all that he has been made a fool of by his main queen though in private he may be angry and mad what if all try and do such things as once he has been made a fool.
This is a private matter and that is why he has to deal in private . Besides having so many external and internal enemies he does not need to make more enemies within and he being a mighty ruler he needs many friends may be his revenge with Ruq would have made her his no 1 foe as she knows about him his nature what ticks him more then even Jodha as they are together since childhood. Remember what Salima told about them to Jo both being childhood friends
Long long time back I remember reading a book on Harem politics and surprised and shocked at the type of happenings.
Jodha and her behaviour reminds me of the sanskrist shlok
Karyeshu Dasi, Karaneshu Manthri;
Bhojeshu Mata, Shayaneshu Rambha;
Roopeshu lakshmi, Kshamayeshu Dharitri;
Satkarma Nari, Kuladharma Patni

According to the Hindu Mythology, the six criteria of an ideal wife:

Works like a servant, Advises like a minister, Feeds like a mother, makes love like a nymph, is as beautiful as Lakshmi, and forgiving like the earth.
She is following these qualites to the T with her husband Akbar and also teaching him the goodness of forgiving. No doubt guilt is a very hard feeling to overcome and will Ruq have the same bullying attitude over Akbar like before now she will be much subdued and wont be able to have a haq over Jalal.
In the long run this will certainly help unless Ruq is so pigheaded and does not take the hint and canges herself have to W&W and see.
My POV
Liked to read your positive post and could identify this feeling that you have expressed.

Thanks for liking my post and loved your POV as well- why would I mind if you posted here? I am so glad.

Good point- how can Jalal admit he was made a fool in public by his own wife? while he did admit he was fooled by Maham anga but I think this was even worse.

I love the mantra above in underlined ... It used to be the tagline for Ekta Kapoor's Bandini. Thanks so much for the beautiful transition. I am beginning to love Jodha more and more as I read all your posts.

I truly hope and wish the CVs redeem Ruqs now!

But you are angry with Jodha all the time? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜†
