Diksha, again we have a small difference in point of view here. For example, you say that as Jalal still is not aware of Ruq's faking (as we viewers are) there can be a reasonableness in his reticence. I agree with that point, overall, as a general principle ... but its my feeling in this particular case that I do not want him to just get awake to Ruq's behaviour after her faking is exposed. I am making the point that: "Does he really need to see the faking exposed before he realises how Ruq's behaviour is?"

Whether faking or not there are reasonable limits to decent behaviour and ssometimes even when she transgresses he is silent, and even when she transgresses with Jodha he is silent.
The same Jalal yesterday told Atga, "its not just that I was attacked, but Jodha was attacked which I will not withstand". That is what I expect Jalal to be even when Ruq is insulting Jodha.
Also, justice delayed is justice denied. If Jalal waits for Ruq to be exposed before applying natural justice to her behaviour with Jodha, it will lnot be the same thing as correcting someone when they make the mistakes - rather than waiting for the big day when all their mistakes will be held against them like some Day of Judgement.
And Jalal can be "just" without being rude to Ruq. I don't want him to belittle Ruq, just show her a mirror that's all. He has to be consistent, I fell, on being just. Likewise if Jodha attacked Ruq also I would expect him to be just, and show a mirror to Jodha.
And what is more, even if that child he wants so much is at stake, I would expect him to be just. Because if someone fails to be just because of his or her own benefit in the situation, it is not true justice.
The word I was searching for when I wrote my post is this word "justice". It is not aggressive justice I expect to see but "fairplay" which is the least minimum I would expect from Jalal even despite his wanting a child so much and Ruq is giving that, and even despite his not knowing its a fake pregnancy. Fair play is fair play whether you scold a child that is hurting puppy or you are firm against one adult who is denigrating another adult.
As for Jodha, she always has been fair in espousing causes which she believes in but when it comes to herself she becomes self-effacing and takes on a lot. And then like it happened in the "going away from home" things will have to reach a boiling point before she starts feeling it all bottling up and unbearable inside her. I think she should not also let things fester and add up and later boil over, she has to insist on fairness and simple justice from all at the moment that things happen so that it does all accumulate.
Since I feel very strongly on this matter of fairplay and justice I am having a different opinion from you today, which is such a rare thing between us isn't it? Most of the time we are on the absolute same page.

Mansi 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Take a bow - this is absolutely sensational writing and it is as if you have written each and every feeling I felt after watching the episode yesterday.

I agree with each and every word and especially the parts in bold.

Standing up for one's self-respect and standing by any person one loves should not be held for ransom just because Ruk is fake pregnant!

It does not say much for Jalal's spine that he cannot stand up to Ruk!

What is the big deal if he got angry AFTER he learnt what Ruk did and THEN he told her to treat Jodha with respect! It will be meaningless!

I agree that ruq holds an important place in his life and now with her giving birth to the hair makes her his top priority.

What irks me more is that guilty look on both Jalal and Jodha's faces that they have done some mistake by falling in love with each other and that they are betraying ruqs.

If you see yesterdays scene the guilt is pretty evident from their faces and body language, okay let them not tell anything about their changed relations to ruqs keeping her pregnancy in mind but they need to clear it to themselves and not feel bad about it...My opinion 😊.

Also I think that there are different reasonable ways to let ruq know that she can't go on insulting Jodha like she is doing now, there is no need for ruqs truth to come out for this.

Somehow, to think that the ruqs unborn child is the only reason that is holding Jalal back doesn't go down well with me...

Yes Rasika yesterday the guilt in Jodha and Jalal seemed evident in their body language. That is precisely what made me uncomfortable.

Jalal is yet to realize that even emotional athyachar is also an attack on a person not jus physical attack.

Agreed but my point was slightly different. Jodha has to be able to tactfully put her point across to Jalal that - "although it may worry Ruk to see you wounded, but you know her best and accordingly you should decide whether or not to meet her". As a wife she should have understood that Ruk who too is a wife and a friend to Jalal would want to know about her husbands whereabouts. The Jodha we saw yesterday was thinking about Ruk the to-be-mother of Jalal's waaris and not Ruk - the Jalal's wife

Ruq is Ja's childhood friend who also happens to be his wife ...there is no romance between them, but having spent all those years together, they do have some sort of deep relationship... This is special more so bcoz he sort of never recognized any other in his harem...salima is not in the race...so Jo is the first for Ja & Ruq...and we have seen R's response...

As for Ja, both JJ are in their nascent stage... They are yet to get comfortable themselves ... Plus though all know about them, all have sort of maintained a dignified distance... Allowing both time to get a hold...

Now this no-baby has come in their life...his nascent love + his long awaited child + long term relation with R+ delicacy of R's situation.. ... Everything has burst on him at the same time ... He believes everybody have their own importance in his life...but others don't see it that way... Maham showed it, now Ruq...

His first obvious reaction would be guilt, until he gets a grip on the situation ...

Only odd thing is Ruq going overboard ...

No matter how difficult and complicated his situation there is something called natural justice and if you pput up with glaring injustice it isnt fair to all the people around you, I guess!

Mansi, all I can say is that after seeing his actions yesterday, he is blinded with the feeling of becoming father and if it were even a bhandhi who would have got pregnant with his baby and had requested for all his begums attention, he would have agreed to send all his wives to serve that lady so that he can hold his child. Then what is the point in calling Rahim as his son? does he really think Rahim as his son? I can't digest this...

Mansi - what has Jalal done to deserve what Ruk is doing to him?

Ruk ALWAYS BUT ALWAYS told Jalal that she does not care if he spends time with other wives, she is not jealous about sharing him - as long as her BEk status, her Audha, her haram remains with her.

Has Jalal taken any of that away from Ruk?
Has Jalal not spoiled Ruk ROTTEN with excessive pampering?
Has Jalal not been a good husband who GAVE Ruk EVERYTHING she asked for?

Jalal even did not spare BB but in 4 horrible big instances of Ruk behavior Jalal just let Ruk get away with them. The small ones are too many to count!

First - before Ben track asking Jodha to vacate her hojara. Jalal made sure Jodha stayed there - that was more because of his vachan to Jodha about her Kanha's respect. Jalal let loose such vicious ugly words on Jodha in return to placate Ruk.

Second - Ruk goaded him to marry Ben and after Ben truth came out Jalal looked like a fool for almost marrying the one who was there to kill him. Not just saving his life Jodha also saved his honor. Jalal did not even by a word let Ruk feel she was wrong and her pressure almost got him killed. In fact Jalal gave Ruk a gift!

Third - in Murti Kand - where Jalal knew very well it was Ruk who did the despicable act. Jalal just said in front of everybody that Jodha could not have done it and HID Ruk's sordid truth from everybody - nor did he punish Ruk for it.

Fourth - when Ruk told him she knew it was a Rajvanshi dressed as Khwaja Shera in haram. Did Ruk KNOW who it was? What if it was some Rajvanshi who had come with intention to kill Jalal? What if Jalal was attacked by the Rajvanshi actually - did he bother to ask this of Ruk?
What if not him but anybody else was attacked in haram? Is not haram Ruk's responsibility? Ruk lied to Jalal to separate Jodha from him and Jalal just did NOTHING!

From Ruk's side - Jalal has DONE NOTHING that Ruk can do this horrible act on Jalal.

I think for all the 4 reasons stated above, Jalal is going to DESERVE what Ruk is doing to him.

Hiding crime so the innocent does not get justice, standing by and letting the woman he professes to love get insulted, pampering Ruk so much always and pardoning her every vicious act that Ruk is now so arrogant to say "no matter how big a lie I tell Jalal will believe it blindly" - Jalal deserves everything Ruk is doing to him.

However much I hate the way Jodha is behaving - she has mostly always behaved this way with Ruk! Jalal is the one who NOW professes to love Jodha but his love seems to be so weak that he has no spine to simply tell Ruk who is so atrociously behaved - that she should accord respect to Jodha.

Forget love! Even if Jalal was NOT in love with Jodha - Ruk treating Jodha this was should not be tolerated by him. Why JUST Jodha - Ruk treating ANYBODY this way should not be tolerated! So tomorrow if Ruk decides that cos she is pregnant and is in bad mood she can insult SB - will Jalal stand aside and let Ruk do that? We all know the answer to this!!!

Jalal has NEVER stood up for Jodha - against Ruk EVER!

If Jalal gets angry with Ruk AFTER he learns of the truth and then tells her to accord respect to Jodha?!!! No it has no meaning for me!

Jalal let MA manipulate Jodha away from him. Jalal is letting Ruk manipulate Jodha away from him! If he is so hen-pecked against Ruk what to say about his spine?!

So if as Diksha said Ruk ASKED him to chose between the child and Jodha - HE SHOULD LET RUK SAY THIS????

What does it say for Jalal if he can let someone manipulate him so easily! So Jalal will let himself be emotionally blackmailed into doing whatever Ruk tells him? What if Ruk WAS REALLY PREGNANT and told him to chose - Jalal would chose his child?

I don't think love should be at the merci of emotional blackmail and tantrums!

If Ruk EVER said this to Jalal - I would like to see him tell Ruk that JALAL WILL CHOOSE HIS CHILD AND JODHA. That as a father he has every right on his child and it is not for Ruk to deny him ANY rights to his child and it is NOT for Ruk to DECIDE HOW his relationship with Jodha will be.

After yesterday not an ounce of sympathy for this Jalal - he fully deserves what Ruk is doing to him - cos ONLY Jalal is responsible for letting Ruk come to this stage!

I want to FULLY ENJOY how Jalal will face this and I want it to be IN DEK - where lot of Jdha's humiliations took place.

Again repeating what I wrote yesterday - I would LOVE for fiery Jodha to be back - not AFTER she learns of Ruk truth but JUST BECAUSE - self respect is every person's right and Jodha should stand up for hers. Telling someone who is mistreating and insulting you firmly that you will not stand up for such behavior is something GOOD!!!!!

Hi Mansi!! 🤗
lovely post with brilliant take..! 👍🏼
I loved ur analysis on three zone characters based on ruku, JoJa..
I find yesterday's episode fine becoz for past episodes getting intolerable torture from ruku so I too starts to pacify her screeching tantrums... Worst part of the episode Jajo's guilty. actions and Jalal standing like an idol.. I couldn't get his mindset why he can't raise his voice when her towards Jo looks horrible.. And I couldn't witness his transition mode in presence of both.. Just I enjoyed watching second part of the episode... No matter when it comes to love everything becomes one...Last part looks absolutely divine, soulful, I loved each gestures of them..I mean tired of scribbling about ruku's character.. waiting for magazine dramatic exposure...😳

Maddy this is a heartfelt post you have made and I can feel your ire about this whole situation.
Se from my point of view, even if Jalal did not love Jodha, he should still be sure to tell Ruq that such sudden spurts of bad behaviour do not befit a queen, much less a Khas begum. As I wrote in reply to Diksha's post, I would expect him to be fair even to a puppy if he saw Rahim treating the puppy unfairly. Fairness should not be at the mercy of personal satisfactions (eg. because Ruq is going to give the child he wants) and fairness should not be for loyalties (eg. his old and cherished ties with Ruq from childhgood) and fairness should not be for accumulation of many mistakes before justice is done (eg. waiting for exposure before telling Ruq all her many faults).
I would expect that if jalal saw Ruq screeching at Hoshiyaar he would tell her that is not acceptable behaviour for someone who is a queen. That is all I am asing for him to say even if its not Hoshiyaar and it is Jodha. is that too much to ask?
