How a person reacts to a situation definitely depends on the individual himself. True.

But when the person in front of you refuses to understand, reacts unpleasantly and accuses you of ignoring him/her, then how is that person going to react? If Jalal tells her off sternly, then he would be accused of being insensitive and short-changing his childhood friend.

So, he is trying to approach this problem with a lot of caution but not really being successful in it. He had told Ruqaiya that he sees a friend in Jodha last year and also assured her of her position in his life. What else can he do? It is Ruqaiya who refuses to understand. Pulling out the childhood friend and first wife card whenever she wants to get her way. Jalal lets Ruqaiya have her way to avoid appearing insensitive. He is incapable of showering her with the kind of love he has reserved for Jodha and thus, indulges Ruqaiya this way 😕

Even before the entry of Jodha, Ruqaiya used to get-away with a lot of bad behavior 🤢 He has always pampered and indulged her because he know he is incapable of loving her but still she is his friend. But now, Jalal definitely has to draw some lines for Ruqaiya when it comes to Jodha.

Lets wait and see how the tables turn after the bhandaphod 😊

Hi friends, back for some time...

and so i ll continue my next part abt yest... abt Jodha...i have always loved this character... for me she is strongest one on the show... she always was, and she always will be... coz she is the one who doesn't need other's strength for survival, but she is the one who becomes others' strength, the reason for their survival...

Jalal needs Jodha at every step... and she knows it... i m not saying he is week... he isn't... but how much any man is strong, at the end of the day he needs somebody, who will hold him in her arms without any reservations, without any complaints, without any tantrums... and Jo has earned that place in his life... he had so many women in his life , including Ruku... but still he was alone... but with Jo confessing her love for him, accepting him , that loneliness has taken back place in his life... and surely he will never wish to go back to that loneliness... and this need of his , is what Jo understands...

Jo knows, that when this husband of hers, is facing the ruthless world , taking care of his subjects, protecting his ppl, and fighting with enemies, he will need someone who will live only for him, who ll try to reduce some of his pressure on her shoulders without asking anything in return, someone for whom he himself will be top priority, him, his peace and his happiness... and Jodha has become that person, that backbone of Jalal which is not only become his strength, but his life...

just few days back, on the day of their WA, when Jo has shown some restraint, some dislikes abt having him share with others, Jalal had become uncertain from the fear of losing her... she has seen that fear... and being the pure soul, she certainly won't like to become the person who ll become reason that he would have to choose btw her and his child... Jo is the person, who feels his victory as her own... his ppl, his subjects as her own... she is not different than him... and so she will not put him in position where again he will be the loser once the decision is made by him...and Jalal knows it...

only by taking Ruku's tantrums, or those insults, she doesn't become small... rather she has become his trust for his own life, his breathing , his soul... friends, it's easy for her to throw the tantrums like Ruku does, it's easy for her to keep demanding his attention... but think where it will put him... he will be then at crossroads, where he will have to choose btw Ruku and their child and Jo ... and surely he will choose Ruku and their kid, and not Jo... that's just expected to happen... had there been no child involved, and he had to choose btw Ruku and Jo, he would have gone to Jo, for sure... but where his child is involved, his priorities change... and my dear Jo perfectly understands it...

Jodha is just behaving what he right now needs from her... and she knows, this behavior of her is going to earn his priceless love, and that's what she wants most for her... this behavior of her is what is giving her his respect, this is what is attracting him to her, this is what is binding them together...and so even after so many insults from Ruku, so many attempts from many ppl to create rift btw her and Jalal, at the end of the day Jodha comes out as a winner, coz the same Jalal finally comes to her with the trust to find the ultimate peace only in her arms...

and abt Jalal not defending Jo , when Ruku was insulting her , then he did... but not harshly... coz had he been a bit harsh on her, Ruku will surely ask him to choose btw his child and Jodha... think where that will put him? right now he can't declare openly that he loves Jo and wants to be with her, coz he is well aware of Ruku's selfish nature ... he is tolerating it, only coz for him there is a child of his involved... and still when he has enough of Jo's insults from Ruku, he makes it clear that henceforth in every moment of his life, Jo will be always with him, that now they r inseperable... but we can't expect him right now to break his relationship with Ruku... not when for him she is bearing his child...

he will break from Ruku, and not clean break, but it will be bad break, when he will know her truth... but that break will leave him all shattered...

Ruku has played worst game here... but this is not time nor place for Jalal to pay back to her... not when he is still unaware of the truth... and it won't be right even for Jo to keep demanding his attention right now... coz that will only make him unsure abt his trust in her purity and love... and Jo is wise enough to understand this...

and abt Ruku, then she will pay back badly for all her misdeeds... once her truth come open, she will be losing everything... most of all, she will lose Jalal to same Jodha whom she wants to keep away from him... what more punishment one can get?

and that will be the time when , finally Jo will win everything... the position, the power, but most of all Jalal and his love and trust... what better prize one can get for being so pure and selfless?

I am bit confused here - Jalal ruk relationship is so so fragile and Ruk holds it to ransom?
That Jalal simply saying you should not talk this way with Jodha Begum is going to break it?
Simply saying this sentence to Ruk will be Jalal taking sides?

What has basic courtesy and respect got to do with being pregnant or not?

What all Jodha is doing for Jalal - is it not also for Jalal to stand by for Jodha?

You think Jalal is so scared of what Ruk will do he should just let her continue her behavior?
So what EVEN IF Ruk was really pregnant and she behaved this way Jalal should take it?

That Jalal cannot plainly tell Ruk they did not want to worry her in her condition and Ruk should also put the baby first before HER ego?
Why not?!!!

This seems to be depiction of a very hen pecked husband who is scared of his wife's tantrums so he lets the one he professes to love just get insulted!

Atleast you felt somewhat placated by the later part of the episode. I felt so disgusted that no later scene could redeem the episode for me.

Jalal telling Adga he is upset cos Jodha was harmed - just came out fake to me. If Jalal is so concerned about Jodha where was that concern when Rukayya told him to send Jodha to him? Jodha had walked the considerable distance on foot, fought with him, was injured and the so called in love Jalal has absolutely no concern for Jodha's condition? He could not say to Rukayya that Jodha is also injured and tired and needs her rest. If Rukayya wanted he can send HB or SB to her. Why not? Has Jalal also started considering that Jodha should wait hand on foot on Rukayya and be treated like a bandi?

Why did Jalal not stop Rukayya from insulting Jodha? Ok he thinks Ruk is pregnant and both Jalal and Jodha got worried seeing her in agitated state. What about when Jalal made Ruk sit beside him? Why could he in simple words say to Ruk that she needs to treat Jodha with respect.

I read Diksha's post and today for the first time I do not agree with her. No amount of being so much in love that you feel the other person's pain and concerns and all justify one of them insulted and the other person not stand up for him/her.

Jalal first calmed Ruk down and why could he not tell Ruk that she needs to accord respect to Jodha. Just say it in plain simple language.

Why did Jalal not tell this to Ruk in her hojara that Jodha is injured you call someone else.

There are far more experienced ladies in his haram who Jalal can trust blindly when it comes to caring for Rukayya. Surely HB, SB and GB qualify?! Why does it not occur to Jalal why Ruk ONLY considers it should be Jodha who has to wait on her hand and foot. Should not experience matter in this case? How is Jodha experienced in this?

Ruk is just pregnant and no matter how much Jalal wants his waris does that mean Ruk can do whatever she wants for the next 8 odd months and Jalal will let her?

I am sorry but when I see such scenes I do not feel Jalal really loves Jodha at all. What kind of person lets the one he loves insulted openly in front of his eyes and keeps mum. Then he is just being selfish and not in love.

Even when Ruk was not fake pregnant - when has Jalal ever stood by Jodha AGAINST Ruk EVER? I cannot think of a single time he has done this. So either for Jalal his love is something to be hidden or for him inspite of his so called love for Jodha - Ruk still has to come first.

The plain truth is Jalal is just a hen-pecked husband of Ruk who is so scared of her tantrums that he has just given in to her all the time in each and everything. Jalal does not mistreats his guards or bandis - he lets Ruk do this. Jalal does not talk arrogantly with his near ones - he lets Ruk be plainly insulting to everybody.

What is the value of Jalal's love if he needs something big to happen so he can be on Jodha's side? That is just selfish so ONLY AFTER Ruk truth comes out in front of his eyes can he openly take Jodha's side? This is spineless behavior!

I got time today and going to do lot of venting Mansi. So more posts to follow.

Maddy, I am closer to your opinion today than to Diksha's opinion. I see your anger and can idenitify with it. But see in my reply to Diksha's second post I tried to explain why I was finding the whole Ruq-Jalal-Jodha equation yesterday disturbing and I have elaborated on this point of "fairplay and justice". See if that reply of mine makes sense to you?

Agree with your analysis on most part, but did not find Ruk's behaviour that horrifying. She was inconsiderate, rude, shameless and immature, but then again that is exactly who she is! so no surprises there, frankly i do think that her anger was justified to a large extent. She is Jalal's wife, and Jalal's childhood friend...she has right to know about his whereabouts. Am sure sure if JO was in Ruk's condition she would want to know if Jalal was hurt irrespective of her pregnancy.

Coming to Jalal and Jodha, i hated the way they were feeling guilty and doing the whole "partners-in-crime" act, but what was more ridiculous was Jodha giving Jalal advice whether or not he should meet Ruk. To quote you - "In a polygamous situation, every wife is supposed to know how far she can go and how far she can't when the husband's allegiances change. That's par for the course." This holds true for Jodha too, especially she has only just begun to understand Ruk, and Jalal has been with Ruk way longer than Jodha. Agree she had best interests in mind and by nature she cant help giving advice, but she has to learn to draw a line somewhere. We know about Ruk's upcoming bhandphod, but JO does not, if she has to have a peaceful existence with Jalal she has to learn to not butt in everywhere.

And what to say about Jalal, on one side he wants to avenge every katra of JO's blood, but on the other he just takes JO for granted. I dont think he did not defend Jodha, infact he did this in a very subtle way by praising her in front of Ruk. What i did not like was he agreed to send Jodha to Ruk when asked. Even if JO was not hurt, he knows she has been fasting all day, and has just taken a ardous journey by foot...itna concern toh apni wife ki taraf banta hai

In that part of your post where you have quoted my green coloured quote ... there is a big difference between Jodha and Ruq. Jodha was asked for advice by Jalal and did not volunteer her rudeness to Ruq.

Superb take, Mansi... frankly i loved the episode...even the scenes of Ruku Jalal and Jo...i know many r miffed by Ruku's behavior and even with Jalal and Jo for tolerating her , rather giving her unnecessary importance...even i didn't like it, still i won't say they were wrong... all three of them were right in their places , in what they did, and the way they did...

the very first thing, Mansi, is we all don't like Jalal's behavior of tolerating Ruku... then look at it in a totally different way... he is not just any common man...he is a Shehenshah, with many enemies around him... he knows he can't name anyone as a friend and other as enemy... he knows he can't trust anybody, coz till date he has been backstabbed more from those whom he trusted as his own... and so he is well aware that his life is always in danger , even next moment he can die, and so he most desperately needs his child , his heir to come to this world safely... it's natural that the kid, and the woman who id bearing that kid becomes his top priority...

then again, not much time has gone when he has lost his kid that too with same woman, even before it was born... he was shattered then... he knows the pain to lose somebody close to his heart... and if he is not ready to take same pain again, can we blame him?

we as viewers , know Ruku is faking pregnancy... but the character Jalal doesn't know it... and just coz we hate ruku for cheating Jalal, we can't expect him to hate the would be mother of his child...

and as for his not saying the word when Ruku was insulting Jo, then he stayed quite only for some time... he rather gave back even more badly, presenting him and Jo as a team, and then declaring that henceforth Jo will accompany him all the time and everywhere, and thus showing that he and Jo r now unseperable... and with this very perfect act, he put ruku right in her place...

i won't blame him if he is taking her any tantrum... now he is in love with Jo, so us expecting that his relationship with Ruku should change fully, is simply not done... Ruku is afterall, herself the princess of his own family with same rights like his own, his first cousin, his first wife and queen, his best childhood buddy, with whom he has shared every moment of his life till he fell for Jo...and once before they both have suffered the loss of their unborn child... so now when she is abt to give him another child, then his taking extra care of her , is just fine...

and i don't think , he is hurting Jo... coz they have merged in eachother now... she is not different from him... rather it's her where he finds peace and solace... and so even when he doesn't like ruku insulting Jo, still he bears it, only coz he desperately craves that kid... and he knows Jo understands him, and won't misunderstand him, and that he can trust her to support him for his ignoring Ruku's bad behavior with Jo...he knows that now he had that much strong relationship with Jo, that trust in her to care for him and not hurting him...

friends, there is much more to say... this is not all... but right now , i have to go... will write more abt Jo when i come back...

Nice thoughts to ponder on Diksha..

I agree that ruq holds an important place in his life and now with her giving birth to the hair makes her his top priority.

What irks me more is that guilty look on both Jalal and Jodha's faces that they have done some mistake by falling in love with each other and that they are betraying ruqs.

If you see yesterdays scene the guilt is pretty evident from their faces and body language, okay let them not tell anything about their changed relations to ruqs keeping her pregnancy in mind but they need to clear it to themselves and not feel bad about it...My opinion 😊.

Also I think that there are different reasonable ways to let ruq know that she can't go on insulting Jodha like she is doing now, Ruqs pregnancy or her truth coming out has nothing to do with this.

Somehow, to think that the ruqs unborn child is the only reason that is holding Jalal back doesn't go down well with me...

Yes on the one hand he tells Atga he could not bear the attackers hurting Jodha but here its a different yardstick with Ruq. So I guess the difference in his behaviour is a bit glaring.

Haven't watched the episode, but could picturise it from your analysis

Ruq is Ja's childhood friend who also happens to be his wife ...there is no romance between them, but having spent all those years together, they do have some sort of deep relationship... This is special more so bcoz he sort of never recognized any other in his harem...salima is not in the race...so Jo is the first for Ja & Ruq...and we have seen R's response...

As for Ja, both JJ are in their nascent stage... They are yet to get comfortable themselves ... Plus though all know about them, all have sort of maintained a dignified distance... Allowing both time to get a hold...

Now this no-baby has come in their life...his nascent love + his long awaited child + long term relation with R+ delicacy of R's situation.. ... Everything has burst on him at the same time ... He believes everybody have their own importance in his life...but others don't see it that way... Maham showed it, now Ruq...

His first obvious reaction would be guilt, until he gets a grip on the situation ...

Only odd thing is Ruq going overboard ...

The guilty feelings on Jodha & Jalal's face was not for they love each other but they tried to hide the truth of attack on them from Ruqu and she had to hear it from others and she would have distressed by this and her health may affect due to this emotional outburst.
Yes, it the unborn child in Ruqu's womb is the only cause for Jalal to control his anger or irritation as of now, as he had waited for years together to become a father and he doesn't want to lose that opportunity at any cost.

Maddy..you are on fire today.. yes I felt equally disgusted after watching yesterday's episode so much that even the second half which was better could take off the bitter taste the first half left.. Maddy,I liked Diksha's take on Jo's POV as to why she took all the insults in her stride and she does this only and only for Jalal and his child.. But I absolutely agree with you cent percent that Jalal's behavior was totally unacceptable. Yes I also did not understand why he could not tell Ruks that Jo was also hurt and too tired to attend to her and she can call someone else... How pathetic.. Ruks is always rude to Jo ..and Jalal never stops her from being so..again extremely disgusting.. and the guilt part.. why should he feel guilty at all? I did not understand this point as well. CVS have totally butchered Jalal's character.. agree with you totally on this..

Mansi, Great one, yet again.😊😊

I don't know whether I will make sense with my post but still I will let it and wait for others to comment on that, if it is worth (commenting)😉

To begin with, the wounds on both Jodha and Jalal were not deep wounds but superficial ones. So they could have let them as it is to heel than making a mess of that by calling the Hakima to treat Jalal. Why Hakim has gone on vacation or what? Even then, she applied chandan lep on his cheek and forehead and left his neck wound unattended and she didn't even bother to attend Jodha? What the hell is with this unprofessionalism? 😕

Then we see Jalal talking about telling this news to Ruqu as he prefers that she hear it from the horse's mouth and he was right about that as he knew her character. Jodha being Jodha, said it might alert her delicate condition to see Jalal with all those 2 wounds and might faint with fear, so we will have to wait till later. Again Jalal was reluctant and said what if she hear this from someone else as the news flies like wild fire in the palace😲 (only such news not those which are worth travelling), then she might feel bad or might think they are more hurt than comprehendible and may feel distressed. When he knew his wife so well, why he could not tell that to Jodha, that it would be better to tell her now than let it lose. Then Jodha took the alternative method to inform Ruqu and told Jalal, Ok, I will go in with the pretext of giving her Prasad and the Pavitra Daga and after analyzing the situation, I will tell her the news and convince her that we are perfect and after that you can meet her. Wow, so much for you people, and for your concern for the baby. 👏👏

Do they think she is so delicate that on hearing the news of attack on Jalal, she will have yet another MC? If they have forgotten, even earlier also (after the Jashn when that attack was planned on Jalal and Sujamal was blamed) Ruqu had told in clear words that as a Shehensha, he will be attacked and that is nothing of her concern as she believes in his strength to wave the enemies away. So we should conclude here that they were only concerned about the welfare of the child and any unwarranted emotions of Ruqu might affect baby, so they didn't want to tell her the fact directly.

Then when Jalal was placating Ruqu, there was no need for Jodha to butt in even though it was her suggestion that Ruqu should not be told about the attack immediately. She should have let Jalal handle his precious bundle of Begum with all sorts of cajoling.

Neither Jalal nor Jodha felt guilty for their love for each other, but they looked guilty that they hid this news from Ruqu even after knowing her nature and how she will burst in after knowing truth from an outsider. (any wife will feel bad, if she have to hear the details on her husband from an outsider while the news is an open secret for the rest of the world) Jalal looked guilty because he, after knowing Ruqu's nature since child hood accepted the decision to keep it from Ruqu for the time being and Jodha felt guilty as she was the one who advised Jalal on this and because of her advice, Jalal had to face this verbal attack from Ruqu and also she was worried for the child's health here as she can see how much ruqu is tiring herself in shouting. 😡

As it is Ruqu was fuming at Jodha when she took Jalal with her to temple and now Jalal has been attacked and he thought of keeping that news from Ruqu, which he would never have done, if not for Jodha (her timely advice to save Ruqu from the heart ache). So she is feeling the earth slipping from beneath her feet, so she shouted on Jodha for not interfering in between while she is talking to her husband. All Jodha should have done now was to take leave of Jalal, by saying will meet you later Shehenshah than hanging around to tie that Daga. She could have asked Jalal to do the honors than sitting down to tie that one. Yes, I know one needs to care for the pregnant lady in the family and even I would have prayed for my co-sister or SIL and would have kept fast also, but surely would not have poked my nose while that lady in question is shouting on her husband for some reason (however unreasonable may be her attack). My love for my husband and care for my BIL is one thing but that doesn't make me accept a high pitched shouting from the lady in question. I would have just asked her husband to handle his wife or on a worst case after vacating the place, would have sent a word to the MIL to intervene and control the situation.

It was Ok for Jalal to take Ruqu to her room and placating her with a kiss. It was his duty as a husband to calm down his wife to have the peace in the family but why the hell he agreed to send Jodha to Ruqu with that broad smile? Just moments back she had shouted o Jodha and called her a third party and why that third party is needed so soon? He could have told her that Jodha needs some rest and hence she will have to make use of Hoshiyar or if required he will ask his mother to land in to her room.

Yes I know Jodha is doing all this for her husband and his amity and also know that Jodha learns from others mistake (though I strongly doubt this myself sometimes) and after seeing how Jalal feels after hearing the news of his to be born child, she was ready to shoulder his burden to certain extent and help him hold his child in his hands and for that she was ready to go to any extent. She also knows that with that she can have a peaceful Jalal and she also can enhance her chances of winning over his confidence. But in all these, how the hell she forgot to inform Jalal about the change of attitude of BB, for whom she went to the extent of going against Jalal's verdict and got BB's husband released from prison and she was the root cause for BB's happiness now who can stay with her full family and enjoy the attention and care of the whole palace.

The way Jalal get distracted by Jodha's singing, the day might come that someone will advise her not sing as the important works are affected due to that. Had he listened to the full conversation of Atgah, may be he would have saved his life from Adham. Now that whoever is the one who heard this half convo (either Adham or Maham or Resham), as we know by now that the villains of Agra have the ears all over their body, (as peacocks have eyes) and their antenna can grab is having the hearing radius of 100 KM, is aware of the fact that Jalal is going announce the punishment to the culprit in the DEK but as of now, he is not aware of the culprit. So I think the moment Jalal starts talking about the attackers and ask Atgah to spell the bean, we can see a Bhandhi (who had been framed by Maham) in half dragging condition enter the DEK seeking his attention. Jalal might bark at her for disturbing the session but after seeing her condition, the concerned Jalal might ask who did this to her and why. Then we might have to see that Bhandhi with lots of apprehension, looking here and there with birdy eye might reveal that it was Ruqu who did this to her for overhearing her discussions with the Hakima (the Choti Hakima) and witnessed the death of the other bhandi. She had been kept captive to silence her voice and with great difficulty, she escaped from that place and she has eaten the salt from the Mughal Sultanate, she felt it was her duty to inform him about the truth... That Ruqu is not at all pregnant but acting to keep Jodha and Jalal separate...

Or it could be the pregnant Bhandi who underwent the test of maha Hakima (the one who tested Hamida while she had Jalal in her womb). She might tell that she had been threatened by Ruqu that if she doesn't cooperate with her and swap her position on the testing table, she (the queen) would have killed her child or her husband etc and as she could not bear to lose her child / husband, she obliged. But how can she be disloyal to her king who takes care of all their needs and treat them all as his children, so now she made a firm decision that even if she have to lose her child or husband, she will not hide the truth from the King and so here she is and he can punish her for her crime...

While Jalal is busy with Ruqu and his self-grieving mode, Adham will chase Atga Khan and kill him as he may feel that by killing Atga, his criminal activities will be buried and he may as well take a chance to kill the grieving Jalal as he may not be fit to fight back...

So we can expect the end of Atga Khan by end of this week or on Monday (if they prolong Ruqu's & Jalal's cat fight for as long as 3 episodes (from Wednesday to Thursday) and by end of next week Adham will be out.

P.S: I think as of now, Hoshiyar doesn't know the fact that Ruqu is not pregnant. he told her to keep her pace controlled as it is not advisable in the current condition. She has not taken Hoshiyar into confidence this time, may be she has a doubt on him for the flower bouquet where Jalal didn't faint even after he smelled the drugged flower.😆

Jaya that point is even confounding me as to why Jalal agreed to send Jodha to Ruq when she demanded? As maddy says why did he not feel that even Jodha who fought the battles like him needed rest? It is this extra length he goes to to palliate Ruq that nakes it difficult to understand him.
