Very charming and emotional. Still, I find it difficult to believe that Akbar could not, with all his resources, locate Jodha in a village in Rajasthan in 8 years. It is odd.

she did not stay in same place she moved to 4-5 places in 9 years

this is just an idea that he could not locate her

Could humayun locate chand begum and his daughter after they were captured by sher shah suri? No not even their bodies if they had been killed. So i imagined Akbar also could not find Jodha or may be Jodha did not want to be found at all. If an human decides he should not be located he will take pains to ensure that.

Yes, my dear, I would grant you all that. Plus in those days there was no way of transmitting Jodha's likeness to a very large number of people who would then look for her.

Still, Jodha must have been well known in Rajasthan, and small portraits of her could have been despatched to the searchers from Agra. And if fate had so decreed it, someone or the other would have recognised her in one or the other of the places where she took refuge, and would have reported it somewhere higher up.

Akbar had so many allies by then in Rajputana, all of whom could have been recruited to search for her, especially right after her disappearance, After all, no one could travel fast and far in those days, unlike the case now. .

Fate obviously did not so decree, and so I shall duly grant you this creative licence!😉

But Chand Begum is a very different case. She was lost during a war, and later, for Humayun, with the battered empire that Bairam Khan was struggling to restore, resources would have been too scarce for him to undertake such a search. So she could very easily have gone permanently missing, given that she had lost her mind. If she had stayed normal, she would have come back to Agra with no problems.

As for dead bodies, they would decay beyond recognition in a matter of weeks. Which is probably why Chand Begum was declared missing believed dead.

There is a remarkable similarity between your Jodha Begum and the onscreen one. Both run away from Jalal/Akbar when he wants to get romantic, the one citing the Meena Bazaar preparations and the other work!😉
