Beautiful lines Mandy...I just loved the shayari above.👏
Change is inevitable. But one thing never changes & that's true love. Earlier it was Ruq who used to get all attention from Jalal & now Jodha is everything for him. But its not fair to say that in future if Jalal finds someone better than Jodha, he'll forget her. No, that can't be called love. On their SR Jalal said to Jodha, "Aap bhale hi duniya ki sabse khubsoorat begum na hon par hum apni zindigi aap k hi sath bitana chahte hain." This one sentence says all. Even if he finds some one more beautiful than Jodha, his love for her will never change.
There's a difference b/w the conditions of both Ruq & Jodha. Jalal never loved Ruq. His relation with Ruq is the same. The only difference is that earlier only she was important to Jalal & now Jodha is also important to him. Had he loved Ruq, he would have never been attracted to Jodha nor fallen for her as love happens only once. Well, I won't say Ruq loves her auhada more than Jalal. She thinks agar auhda hai toh Jalal khud va khud uske paas rahega. But a lonely person in Shehenshah never wanted a queen but a soulmate which she could never become. What to do he never loved her and we can't force him to do so. Jalal always found a friend in her but could never find a wife, a lover in her.
Ruq never told Jalal abt her insecurities of losing him. When Jalal started feeling attracted towards Jodha he always asked Ruq, "Are you jealous of Jodha begum." And she always replied, "Why should I feel jealous, it doesn't matter to me with whom u spend ur nights. No body can snatch my place." If u remember when AkDha returned from Amer from Sukanya's wedding & Ruq came to know that JoJa spent night together, Jalal asked her the same question & she gave as usual answer then Jalal asked her one thing, "Ek dost ki tarah na sahi ek begum hone k naate toh apko jalan honi hi chahiye." Even Jalal was always eager to know if she loves him more as a friend or as a wife. I think Ruq always wanted him as a friend. She took Jalal for granted & then Jalal also took her for granted. He thought she'll have no probs with his & Jodha's relation. See, how Jodha let Jalal know her insecurities of losing him on their SR. Did Ruq ever say to Jalal, "Will I be no longer ur same best friend if u find ur love in any other woman?" If she had asked this question, he would have assured her that nobody can take her place in his life. But she never asked such question as a friend, she always behaved as BEK - "I have no prob regarding ur spending nights with other women till my auhada is safe." Why didn't she feel bad that Jalal is spending night with other women? Remember how Jodha reacted seeing Jalal with Ruq on the anniversary day & how Ruq reacted when she saw Jalal-Ben together. That sight had no impact on her. She was just concerned abt her insult & she became all normal when Jalal assured her & they started talking abt the match. She forgot what she saw a few minutes before. She herself proved many times that she's position conscious. She never concerned abt losing her friend but she feared of losing her auhada. '
Ur philosophy is great. We all know we came in this world alone & we'll leave it alone, still we can't stop loving & attaching to others. Agar aisa ho jaye toh insaan aur bhawvaan mein kya fark rahega?😊
@Bold Ruqaiyya had asked this question, after Jalal's birthday, when morning after Jalal told her that he now sees a verry good friend in Jodha Begum...He'd said then that no one can take Ruqaiya's place in his life...and he'd reiterated this to Jodha as well. Still Ruks insecurity shows, she doesn't TRUST her best friend Jalal...when Trust isn't there, nothing else can flourish..
From jalal's perspective, wrt Ruks nothing has changed...but for Ruks..she's living in fear of losing something, which she never had, Jalal the Man and his Heart...
Hasn't Jalal also explained to Jodha on their SR, that change is the only constant, but what will not be erased will be the, "Ehsaas for her in him", which will always be there.
