Thank u abhay for such hard work n so much effort u put to get this info to us. Ur posts made my day. Niw a days when there is so much negativity in the forum reg the serial ur posts make me happy again. I was kind of sad to read when someone had made a post erlier reg akbars children where they showed daulat bibi n other to have borne his children butnow i m hapy to know that he did truly love her n did not jump in other womens bed as soon as jodha got pregnant.

From the research that I have also been doing, there is a possibility that Shehzadi Khanuum, Khanuum Sultan and Shakr-un-nissa may be the same person - with Shakr-un-nissa being the given name and Khannum the pet name / Akbar's name for her, born in 1571.

According to the writings of Fr. Monserrate, in 1580 when he was at Akbar's court at Sikri, he mentions only 5 royal children (children of Akbar - 3 sons and 2 daughters), of which one being in Amer - which coincides with Salim, Murad, Khannum / Shakr-un-nissa, Daniyal and Firoze. And Daniyal was in Amer till he was 13 which means in 1580 he was not in Sikri but in Amer as noted by Monserrate. Also even Monserrate uses the name 'Pahaari' for Murad and he only gives the names of Akbar's sons - Sultan Selim, Murad aka Pahaari and Danial / Daniyal.

Not sure how to express the overwhelming admiration I have for your dedication and hard work after reading this thread...Thorough research and awesome presentation...outstanding work guys👏

The biggest strength of this post is the detailed references and supporting information( eg paintings, verses ) provided after stating a fact...even a non specialist in Mughal history like me found them really easy to follow. I'll save it and read it again at leisure. Must tell you...some of your intelligently made posts while surfing the web were instrumental in getting me addicted to this forum. I'll share this with my friends who are big history buffs...they'll love it.

I am overwhelmed with the amount of facts and information I have read today! And can only marvel at the amount of work all three of you had done!

Especially Abhay who has been formatting and compiling this thread for DAYS amidst power cuts, exams and family time 😉 This has been totally worth it and more! It is a fabulous piece of work!

No other contemporary historian or people who claim themselves to be one 😉 has done this amount of work, atleast as per my knowledge. Most of them stick to foreign accounts which record a lot of street gossip with glee and ''Jahangirnama'' 🤢 Both of which are as bad as it can get. The three versions of Jahangirnama are available online and the contradictions are easily spotted.

You guys have compiled information so painstakingly, not only for this thread but for all of them! Put in so much hard-work in all of them and made this thread especially for us 😳

For this we (I and most of the forum) are so so so grateful!!! ⭐️

Abhay, I am just overwhelmed at the moment. I have skimmed through the information right now, but I am gonna take my sweet time reading this. All I can say, this deserves to be featured in magazines removing people's stereotypes and negativity. Who say an Emperor who had the world at his feet could not have a woman influence him to such an extent and be his beloved too.😳 I do believe now Daniyal's mother was MUZ. If it was a concubine ,than why would a concubine travel with a king while a war was going on. It really does not add up.😆

It is said that - Akbar gave a "Rajvanshi Style pat on her head" expressing love, when he met her after Salim's birth, at Sikri.

Its very interesting to read each and every notes ..I was very much impressed and inspired by all these informations..This piece of precious notes makes me wondering how much he get involved in all rituals , customs , scientific values , 😛
And as there is a discrepancy between Greek and Indian astrologers with regard to fundamental principles and their consequences in the matter of the stars, a horoscope was prepared according to each scheme. As the horoscope which Maulana Chand Chand drew up according to the Greek canon appears most worthy of confidence, it is set down first. This was huge proof that Shaguni Bai , Salim Chisti could predict through stars..Although U research took me to those centuries..😉😆

Though Abu'l Fazl writes, in a Mesmerizing Manner, but such a description is beyond myimagination. Concise and Beautiful.!.

This was Fazl's description of Harka Bai/ MUZ, when she married Akbar at Sambhar. 😉
What Abu'l Fazl means is that,--> " Among all the ladies of the Harem(glorious pavillion) , it was daughter of Raja Bharmal, who had outshone them. " 😆
