He changed all rules made by akbar like removing tirth kar on hindus. Though he was a son of a Hindu rajput, he did all why? He was shah jahan. Although Akbar did not know that He would became king as this place is preserved for Khusrao(Jahagirs first child and son was Man Bai. Man Bai was the daughter of Raja Maan Singh)
Whatever Aurangzeb did with him is only the result of his own deeds.

Because of him till now we are struggling with Ram Mandir issue?

Sorry but i dont have any mercy for Rukaiya.

chill yaar .i was taking about the character potrayal in EKTA JA .

this has nothing to do with real historical characters.

i read about real ruqu in books too . i know what you are talking .

Can you please give reference which book gives the details that he did not talk to her for 7 years?
Also which book says that Ruqaiah did not allow Jodha to meet Khurram or allowed to meet only for few hours a week.
Apart from fictonal story books i have not read such story in any historical accounts
FYI- Male will be shifted away from harem to men quarter at age of 13 and after that they do not stay with mothers. So they are free to meet anyone, be with anyone any mother etc. Ruqaiah has no rights or cannot supervise or preven Shah Jahan from meeting Jodha his mom after 13 years of age. Shah Jahan was close to his mom Jodha he was very upset when she died, built her a huge tomb etc. No where he mentions in his autobio that he was not allowed to meet his mom/dad. Yes dad was in rebellion and away for 3 years from agra but apart from that i think he could meet his parents anytime he wanted. And Jodha's grave was built in hindu architecture.

Where did you read this ? Reference please !

He may have sidelined her from responsibilities but Akbar was not on talking terms with her is something which I've not read till date !

She was not asked to look after ShahJahan, but she asked Akbar for his responsibility which he granted.

She was indeed possessive with Khurram but it has nothing to do with JG being Rajvanshi.

If you have picked up the last line from twentieth wife then that book is a historical fiction. !

Actually, Ruq's main problem is she knows how importance she has in Jalal's life but she can't see Jalal giving the same ahmiyat to anyone-else. If she claims to be Jalal's childhood friend she must know that in Jalal's life her ahmiyat will remain the same. A relationship gets even stronger with time. How can she think Jalal will forget those 11 yrs spent with her. Naye rishton k aane se purane ki ahmiyat khatam nahi ho jati. Jalal is now in love with Jodha but he never neglects Ruq. Yesterday also Ruq chose the same wall to hang her & Jalal's portrait where he wanted to put Jodha's portrait but he gave freedom to Ruq to choose any place in the room & when she chose the same place he never said that here he wanted to hang Jo's potrait. In earlier episode also when she fainted Jalal took her to her room leaving Jodha at the moment. He forgave her in Murthi kand. He forgave her in Sujamal issue. That shows all. Her ahmiyat is same in Jalal's life & will be the same. Jo hasn't taken her place in Jalal's life. Where Jo today is, that place has always been empty. Ruq just needs to understand that his childhood friend Jalal was always with her, is always with & will always be with her irrespective of Jo's arrival in his life. But she requires all the attention of Jalal. I know Jalal made her like this by pampering her but a persons grows with age. In polygamy one wife accepts other wives of the husband. Ruq needs to learn that. The day she learns that her relation with Jalal will be even more stronger.

Aur 100 baat ki ek baat, they have no other option but to butcher her character as if she remains positive people will have sympathy with her & nobody will be able to enjoy AkDha love story. If the show was Akbar the great, there was need to spoil her character as they would show Akbar loving both the wives equally . But they focused on the love story of Jodha Akbar. A hero can't love two heroins in Indian TV. That's why at this point I like the movie more than the show. In the movie they never showed other wives of Akbar & they could beautifully portray the love story.

There are only 2 characters in Jodha Akbar for whom u feel sorry for. One is Jalal and other is Rukaiyya.
Rukayya is the only character in JA for whom u feel both dislike and also sympathy. She evokes such feelings in ppl tat one wants to remove all tat pain from her life and make Jalal be wid her and on the other side, shake her badly to make her understand that Jalal is no longer hers.

And not to mention, Lavina is also doing gud justice to this role. Without her right emotions / expressions i dnt think we wud be having such conflicting thots abt Rukayya.

If Rukaiya really loved Akbar, then why Akbar seeks Jodha love?Jallal would be happy with her.
Jallal was alone because there was no wife who would love him other than Shehanshan.
Ruku was very proud to be Babars granddaughter. Akbar didnt gave him divorce, only because of this reason. She loves power more than anything. That loves comes in Khurram being extremely cruel.

Although he was son of Rajwanshi, why he hated Hindus? Why he changed all rules made by Akbar? Why he killed Khusrao and all his brothers and all Akbars grand childrens?

When person sitting on throne, loves himself and thinks only 4 himself proves a disastrous for kingdom.

It is just like Maharaj Shantanus blind love creates Mahabharata.

Ruqaiah knows she has her childhood friend always
What she wanted was a husband who loved her she wanted a family as she has no one other than Akbar in life after age of 6.
But Akbar always told her i have no heart i have no heart. So she also made her heart like stone as her husband said he had no heart he is just her friend for life so she was contended with it. She had no option
Now suddenly 10 years later Akbar said no heart no heart and now he fould heart for Jodha.
So why he lied to Ruqaiha so long i have no heart i can never love anyone etc and alaso to his other wives. He must have told from before i do not love you as lover but as friend then she would have not been so confused and jealous. And do not tell me Akbar found an heart only after Jodha. Akbar always had a heart he loved BK, Maham, Bakshi, Humayun, Zaheer etc. He did not have a lover he was not in love before he misunderstood that for not having a heart.

Watch Balika Vadhu serial you shall get answer. Akbar considered Ruqaiah as a friend, cousin sister responsibbility not soul mate not lover not wife. It was an arranged marriage at young age.
Sometimes after spending 10 years with wife an husband can later fall in love with another woman even today and move on. Love has no formula, it just happens to anyone anytime. Akbar definetly loved Ruqaiah but not as a soulmate. This is in serial
Ruku was very proud to be Babars granddaughter. Akbar didnt gave him divorce, only because of this reason. She loves power more than anything. That loves comes in Khurram being extremely cruel.
Here you are talking of real Ruqaiah i guess. Akbar loved Ruqaiah most among all his wives and pampered her and never said no to her. He banned citizens from marrying more than one wife and even told that he made a mistake marrying so many and should have married one or if no kids two wives. This was in his late 30s he told.
There is no evidence that real life Ruqaiah loved power indeed she was a docile human who stayed in background happy at home/harem then in court/politics etc.
Khurram became cruel because of Nur Jahan not Ruqaiah. Nur Jahan forced him to be orthodox to attarct nobels of mughal court in his favour to become king. Yes he killed all again insecurity because of Nur Jahan how he was tricked by Nur Jahan into running from one place to another like fugitive with his wife and kids in tow. He lost kids because of that fugutive life. That made him a hardened fundamentalist to ensure his kids are safe all life not face problem like him. That is why he killed all family. He was fundamentalist would not allow building temples without permission etc. That was a policy he pursued to ensure that mughal court does not alientae him once bitten twice shy. It also was on his upbringing Akbar gave him to Ruqaiah to be brought up in timurid way as astrologer predicted he will be most famous mughal ever. If Akbar did not like how she brought him up he would have objected and corrected because he was a no nonsense guy.
And life is a bit of black bit of white. Shah Jahan was his grandfather fav, his father fav child and brought up so lovingly. He went to many wars for his father/Nur Jahan sake after age of 19. But how Nur Jahan treated him like a traitor she humiliated him taking away all his jagirs, made him run with very small children and wife across indian continent, took away his jagir which Akbar/Jehangir had given to future emperor him and gave to his younger brother Shariyar, took his kids as hostage etc. It takes a very brave human to face all this discrimination, persecution but stay strong to stay alive. But all these trails made him cold hearted towards his relatives, brothers towards his religious views. Taj Mahal has a trishul on top too. Yes Shah Jahan was bad yes he was orthodox killed his family but if you think deeply he suffered a lot in life that made him what he was a cruel hard hearted fundamentalist person.
