It is an argument so convoluted, my dear Divya, that it could qualify for a pretzel competition,😉 and I can bet that no one would be able to connect that with what she said on Thursday. They will dismiss it saying that the CVs, as usual, have lost it!😉

Plus I am not at all sure Chandragupta Maurya was loved by his people. Chanakya was second cousin to Machiavelli, and Chandragupta was entirely shaped by the ruthless realpolitik of the Chanakya neeti

Besides, no one in those days thought to "being loved by the people" as either a necessary or a desirable quality/achievement for a king. I do not think it is, even today. A ruler should be efficient, just, able to protect the lives and the well being of his subjects, and somewhat remote. Too much familiarity only breeds contempt in the long run, and then again, the "people" are like the media, they can turn against you in an instant, and for no reason at all.

As this "loved by the people" is tosh, and put out by the Balaji CVs. If this was so, what do you suppose Jodha would have done after Akbar ended the siege of Chittor with the slaughter of all the defendants, some 40000 of them?

- Jodha's blushing

it was s cute...😳😳Jalal was bold enough to do that..😉he didnt shy or hesitate and he was so mesmerized by her beauty that he could help doing it...then Jodha had to call out his name to bring him to reality😆 nose-ring was the haddi😆 Jodha as also enjoying his touch😉

(2) The painting symbolism with Ruqs on Jalal's head and Jodha at his feet ala Duryodhan and Arjuna were to Krishna.

I also remembered how Arjuna chose the Man (Krishna) over his entire army- could apply to Jodha vs. Ruqs as well.

I loved it..Ruqu is too dumb to get the tedha soch of Jalal...😆see, Jalal put Jodha's painting where only he can see it, not others..😉Ruqu's one will be seen by everyone but Jalal😆 I guess Jodha too understood it..I loved how they were speaking through eyes (Jalal saying everyone has his own place in life and looking at Jodha, she responding with a smile) and Ruqu looked so out of place🤢
one thing I noticed both JaJo take Ruqu for granted, dont pay much attention to her words..they just listen and dont reply back..they know Ruqu's tiny brain wont get an iota of their advices.😆
I felt bad when Jodha looked upset seeing the painting...but I was ROFLing seeing it...so hilarious🤣 a painting of her and Jalal😕 that too she sitting and Jalal standing?😳🤣

Also thought it was funny that she said I will sit on top of your head and he complained of a headache.

I love u for this🤣🤣
that sar dard was such a bahana by Jalal...he feels irritated around Ruqu😆

(3) The beautiful irony that both Jodha and Jalal are thinking the same thing: That the other is not showing their love openly

loving it totally😳

After all, that is what will take us through IPL!

(4) Liked how Jodha addressed MA without greeting her

Somehow I found it cute to hear the word ghrina from Jodha again ;)

Jodha was fab...⭐️👏she didnt pick the fight for herself but Jalal...I loved it..👏she kept saying u hate me but why did u hurt the man who worship u as his mother more than his own mother..it was awesome!!⭐️⭐️ I also loved how she went emotional while talking to Salima...she could easily feel Jalal's pain..I want Jodha to blast off MA, the woman raised her voice against her..she should not spare her..😡

(5) Dargah precap scene- excited how they will beat the Badal- Kajri version as that was awesome

talk about it...so cute

Jodha always wanted to give Ruqs her space so nothing new here and she felt bad seeing him with Ruqs before too- but it is obvious she needs to get over it.

yeah, she always gave her the space..she is very graceful..she always was...I dont think Jodha will ever get over the jealousy seeing other woman with Jalal...after all she is in love

How could you miss how there was a bit of jealousy between Moti and Jodha on talking about Jalal! Maybe our suspicions were always right ;)

see, we were right😡😡😆

Have a great weekend guys.

same to you🤗

Shyamala, the chittor seige would have considered as WAR, which was a fact😆, probably, that's why no wars are being shown in JA now. BTW, I saw promo of Maharana Pratap, and there at the age of 14 itself, Jalal is calling himself as Jalaluddin Mogammed Akbar, now there is no validity of any history, take the characters, concept, some reality and more of fiction and make serial 😡

Even in war, Ash, there was no need for Akbar to slaughter all the defendants. He was said to have been furious that they held out for so long and perhaps he lost many of his soldiers.

And here, Jalal is not shown making the slightest move to get Mewat back from Sujamal, and the point about the Mughal dead having been stabbed in the back has been forgotten as well, and by everyone! 😉

A teenage Jalal being called or calling himself Akbar is the least of the howlers in Maharana Pratap, my dear Ash. They showed an imaginary battle between the 15 year old Pratap and Bairam Khan where the latter was worsted, both on the battlefield and in a hand to hand encounter! And that was hulking Bairam Khan!

But they show Rajput parampara much better than in Jodha Akbar, especially the relationships between a king and his queens, and the proper code of behaviour for a Rajput queen. Not like here. And Maharana Udai Singh looks magnificent, not like this Maharana Pratap, who was actually only 2 years older than Jalal, but looks 20 years older.

Oh yes, I have watched few episodes of MP and Rana Udai Singh looks magnificent and dignified for his role. I was just mentioning about how history is become mockery in the name of serial. Anything for fiction, just TRP what it maters, infact I m thankful that not even once Jalal had to go on a hideout from Agra like Humayun, if there was any hint of it, I am sure like Ekta 's many serials, by one signature a billionaire comes on streets in a day's time, she would have shown, with a paigam which MA is looking for she would have dethroned Jalal and made AK an Emperor. We should thank stars or rather Akbar should thank his stars that it never happened. 😆

Thanks for all the posts- love the mix of discussions on romantic baatein and history :)

@Ash: can't believe you could even suggest AK being a temp emperor- don't you know the CVs visit this forum? I can just see a montage of Jodha and Jalal in hiding ;)

Quick question that struck me- do you think Jodha will finally remember she knows MA is behind Ruqs MC? Or this is part of the selective amnesia again?

She should know MA has hurt his heart before.

If we remember, why don't the CVs!

I couldn't control myself Divya, on Thursdya when I saw MA in Surang again, troubling the mystery man for the paigam 😆it came to my mind about how serial works and a multi millionaire just looses everything due to one signature and comes on streets, so why not a paigam, thank god Akbar never went on a hideout. So, should we not be happy about it😆

This will also come out Divya, but now all her kartoots at a time, not in instalments, so with Adham Khan's death, all this will come to an end.

She should know MA has hurt his heart before.

jodha knew it but she was not sure. after the humshakal track jodha just had the doubts. maybe she thinks tht its just her misunderstanding. just like jalal also heard tht maham is behind BK's death, but i think he had just heard it he didnt had proofs to believe it. so maybe jodha also thinks tht her doubt is wrong, maham cant hurt jalal's child.

No wonder she has been dismissed by Jodha in her Ghrina days, because she always sided with the Shahenshaah. 😆

It's a triangle between JaJo-Moti. 😆

@Aunty: SO TRUE!!!

The code of conduct is impeccable in MP, and Shakti Singh (?) is splendid as Rana Udai Singh.

The actor who plays Jalal is good too aunty, and looks his age. He doesn't look 20 at all!

But the real scene-stealer on this show is Faisal Khan. What a talented actor! 👏

No wonder they haven't been taking the oft-repeated Leap. He is magnificent & so believable as a young Maharana Pratap, no wonder he has won awards!

He's the most talented child actor on tv. I watch it just for him. ⭐️

The right mix of princely restraint & boyish fun. 😃

Aashka takes your breath away too, as the wicked Dheerbhaijee. I never knew she was such a good actress.

Their costumes, their sets & their relations- I wish SOME shows could take massive inspiration!!!! 😉
