But I really like the DEK scene. The Quran gifting scene was so beautiful and heart touching. It was very thoughtful of them to give him The Holy Quran. That was the best gift. My mom said that as he respect their religion, abolish the terthkar so that they can they can perform their religion without any problem they also showed respect to his religion and gifted him The holy Quran. I like the way even Man and Todarmal showed respect. But this maulavi's they have problem with this too 😡 . I really love the scene.
And Rukku-Jalal scene I knew it the paigam will come in between their game. When Rukku was arranging the chess board my mom said "After some time she herself will throw the whole chess board ". During the whole scene me and mom was waiting when she will throw it 😆 .It was funny.
The way Jalal is arranging everything I have a fear. Something wrong will happen. They aren't meeting soon

Great points all around.
- The DEK scene was the highlight
- On Ruqs- She will never learn to not throw stuff.
- I also think there will be reason for delay- especially as the did not show Jodha at all- not sure why. Or else, it would have been nice to see Jodha equally eager to meet Jalal. Maybe that is how they will filler today :)

Cheers,

Divya

Even though I also dont like to see a majnu jalal but still I dont believe he will ignore ruku. He loves jodha no doubt but he cares for ruku as well thts why he forgave her. I also loved the 1st scene bcoz it was simply divine. Last jalal looked really cute still a shahenshah standing on doors leaving all his works is bit weird for me. I just want to see the same desperation from jodha's side as well. If the right balance comes then these jalal scenes will also look cute nd appropriate.

Thanks Shreya! Agree with all your points. Jalal's smile won the day.

I also do not want him to ever ignore Ruqs.

On Jodha's side of the story- I have a feeling today will be filled with her side of the story :)

Or else, my only justification is Jodha's love is still being kindled and it will take her a while to express it.

Hi Divya,

I didn't think you would agree with everything that was on show in JA. But you know, your post is like field of buttercups in a meadow. And I would have felt like an ogre trampling it if I had put up a first response...in negative!!

Now I share my thoughts.

Again I read the WU first before deciding whether to watch or not. After which, again I decided not to watch.

You pointed that Jalal has immense love for Jodha. I believed that she is the only one that he can possibly fall madly in love with because, from the beginning she was the one who was NEVER impressed with him for being a king. She was not power crazy, or was intending to use his kingly position from some wordly gain. She in fact was the female that could possibly love him unconditionally.

I could understand his attraction, yearning and falling for her hook line and sinker. What I cannot understand is his total lost of control over his faculties when it comes to her. He was positively beaming and could not be contained after hearing news of her return. That is natural. Whether or not she was the reason for the MU, it is irrelevant to him at this point for he cannot see beyond the joy of her return. She truly has now become his light.

But I was so annoyed with him going on and on about how she is the light Agra, he is nothing without her he is what she made him.

I find it hard to believe that she has ever offered nurturing love to him. She has influenced him in many instance i,e, forgiving BB and Shariffuding, abolishing slavery. But the way it was done to me is more like ' Hey dude, see all this? This are wrong. At least I see that its wrong. So you should correct them'

Nurturing love at its best is like how a mother try to wean off a child off its bad habits. She will coax, reason, argue, threaten, then she might even use some tricks. But its never laid as a law. It can never be This is wrong, change it. Because a mother will always have her child in her heart first. Whatever changes she wants in her child it must not be at the cost of the child itself. She can never break the child. Despite all the goodness that she naturally possessed, Jodha was the least nurturing to Jalal. Whatever reforms she coaxed or fought tooth and nail is always at the end like a blaring statement to his face...This is wrong/criminal, you have to change it.

The impact is so subtle because Jalal is a person who is eager to change for good. Anyone can make him do changes, as long as they have a good argument why. Do you remember the little boy who asked him ' you sent both my parents to jail, where do I go'. He made Jalal change his verdict, by simply asking that simple question.

I know you guys say that Jodha has now started to or already have realised her feelings for him. Does she really feel for him is my question? When someone has gripped your heart, and has taken a portion of it, you cannot possibly be away from them even in anger, and be normal. Jodha was WAY TOO normal in Amer.

And the number of people that told her to look at herself properly for she has now feelings for him. What is the need, if she already has feelings for him?She never once retaliated by saying that she knows what she feels for him, but she simply cannot return because her honor was questioned.

That is very different than going around like a battery operated parrot repeating on how he has no heart, how he hurt her and the list goes on.

A wife can be angry with the husband. It even happens when she is totally wrong. That is way of life. But she should never be reminded or revealed that she loves him. Its not America, and she is not Columbus. I would bite the head off someone who tried to explain to me that I do in fact love my husband. I know that. The intensity of the anger is only as much as the love.

But this Jodha has been like a rock, receiving this 'advises' from the love guru of Amer.

And why is she returning? Cos' he proved himself with a heart by forgiving Shivani? Seriously? Did he not have a heart when he begged his awam to pray for your health? Did he not have a heart when he realised your dad and Amer jingbang instead of beheading them for Shivani? Did not have a heart when he was renovating the temple which you visit even when both of you were at loggerhead?

Come on, this ' he has a heart' pronouncement from her totally irks me. It was always there. She was the blind one.And now she is returning because he forgave the two people whom he should not have forgiven? Supporting that type of love convinces her that he has a heart? How stupid is she?

Now you see, what I meant on I didn't want to rain on your parade. I am so angry, especially with Jalal. From a fool in love, he is now becoming an ungrateful king mislead by misplaced love.

Arghh...I need to whack someone

Anne, so lovely, I love you for this😉🤗. When it comes to Jodha's feelings, I control myself from commenting, as she irks me a lot with her illogical talks, her behaviour and "he has no heart" or "from when did he start understanding love". When has she understood love that, she questions him?😡 Before you preach someone, you should know, what love means, and she is the last person to realise.

Divi,

I liked today's episode. True, the story didn't move forward, but it focused on the changing equations, in an ever so subtle way.

1. Jalaal and his advisers - Earlier, it would have been a happy Jallu and a silently seething, but play-acting Maham. But, today, it was Jalaal with all the people he trusted truly, I know it's sad, that Shareefuddin made it to the list, but, whatever.
2. Jalaal and Ruqaiyya - Usually he masks his feelings on Jodha in front of her. Covers them up with a laughter and some sardonic comment, but today, no such thing. I loved the change in his attitude! As soon as he got to know Jodha was coming back, it was as if a bulb was lit inside him, there was "nur" in his face. Ruqaiyya seems to be setting up new records for being a haughty queen. She wanted the paigham to wait for the end of a stupid chess game? What if the message was an important strategic one?

A few observations,
1. Atgah, you perv! Why that naughty smile, when he told about sending ghudsavars to get Jodha's her ghante ki khabar? Again he smiled when Jallu repeated it outside. Apparently he knows, the past tense of his litany, "Hum huqm ki taameel kar chuke hain."
2. Man Singh, why the delightful smile on listening to you duty? If I were a Rajput warrior in waiting, I would have been clueless to such events as welcoming a bahu. Apparently Man Singh has some cool hunars as well.
3. Shareef, you're happy she's returning but, sad, not in your life. Son, tell me when was she in your life ever to return? Mad guy! I think, for a moment he was confused which flowers to lay for his crush, or maybe his fav. flower may not be available in the current season.
4. Todarmal's march past out of the hall was hilarious. He seemed to be mentally saying, "left right left"
5. Hamida, wonderful words, on them starting over. I loved she said both of them starting over, and not something stupid like, you do shiraasana or something like that. She and her son had a tiny screaming match, but thankfully Salima didn't join.
6. I am amazed, Jodha didn't get a jolt in her palki when Ruq screamed, "JODHA!"
7. Bidai scene looked great, because unlike the wedding, the daughter was truly leaving for her husband's house happy, and eager. Notice the happiness on Bharmal's face, but the tears and fear in the 3 women. Men! Can never understand.
8. Moti! She might be your friend, but you don't address her as use, when she herself refers to herself as "hum". Where are your manners?

Phew!

Great post!👍🏼👏

Hi Raksha, Love your combo of insightful points and funny ones.

Yes the changing equations on advisors was a good one- you can truly feel Maham Anga's silence.

On Ruqs- great observation on his openness about Jodha. He did it once before after his birthday but seeing her hurt stopped for a bit.

I think SD's turn is next!

On your funny comments I can't respond to each and everyone from my phone but trust me that every one made me laugh.

My three favorites are:
2. Maan Singh's smile: I think it may be because his Buasaa is coming back
6. What about showing winds blowing and thunder crashing with Ruqs outburst?
7. What do you think the women were really scared about?

Why can't he be in love without completely giving himself a makeover? Is the real Jalal existing anywhere in that Majnu soaked in love??

Tsk...tsk..

AJ tell me about it😆..i have a list of harsh words but am restricted to use them here, i wish i could write them on a piece of paper and mail to ekta kapoor!

4. Jalal meeting HB and the duo hugged..such warmth was in the scene..❤️they do look like real mother-son (of course there is height issue😆)
5. Jalal asking Salima to decor Jodha's khwabgah.😳
6. Jalal ordering everyone to decorate Agra as dulhan and make a rose petal bed in Jodha's way to palace and also arrange shehenaiya to welcome her in true Rajvanshi style.❤️
7. Jalal sending fast horse riders to get every update of Jodha's arrival.😆
8. Jalal hugging Atgah and looking into the arrangements.😳
9. Jalal saying he cannot accept the gifts from his riyaya as he was only fulfilling his duty as an emperor.⭐️
10. Jalal kissing Quran and asking Jodha in his prayer.😳
11. Jalal totally ignored Maham at DEK as if she doesn't exist😎he was lost in his Jodha Begum's khayal😳

Divi, you already can make out how happy I am!!!😆 my Jalal is grinning, jumping, celebrating at the very news of his soul-mate's arrival...🤗I dont remember when was the last time I saw him this much happy! kisiki nazaar na lage Shehenshah ko❤️humesha issi tarha khush rahe aur haste rahe❤️throughout the entire episode I kept grinning like an idiot..😆cant wait for my JaJo to reunite.☺️

P.S. can Ruqu stop screeching?🤔 my ears r already effected.😕
P.P.S. after the beginning scene, it was Jalal the lover we saw today, waiting for his love.

Tamy I can see you are happy and I am too! Agree with all your points on his eagerness- it was very cute.

Very funny side comment on the mother son height issue- at this point I have gotten used to it.

You will need to invest in a good pair of ear plugs to deal with Ruqs in the coming future!

The CVs do defy logic by not showing how Bharmal came to Mathura or how injured Jallu was transferred to Amer. but these things don't happen in a day or two in those days.

But, there are historical accounts of very able-bodied soldiers on very strong Arabian horses whose work is only as RUNNERS. They are known as Runners as these soldiers gallop non-stop and only rest few minutes to feed the horses. The soldiers are trained like this and also trained to take bites of food while galloping too.

So, that's how the messenger comes much much earlier than Jodha's Palkhi. Sorry, I assumed you really did not know these facts, that's why gave you a little bit details. You can ignore this, if you had written for joking purposes in your take.

Viji

Thanks! Yes, I was just joking about the speeds. In practicality I understand the difference in speeds but the question is how quickly the CVs choose to show the travel based on their preference.

But very nice historical points on runners.
