Seeing Jalal's happiness in Friday's precap ... I knew today's episode would not see our Jodha and Jalal uniting. I am amazed at our CVs ability to drag things ... Well, what is new in that, they never cease to amaze me!
They defy all logic on traveling speeds- Bharmal made it to Mathura in lightening speed, the messenger today came before Jodha God knows how, and only the CVs know the speed at which Jodha will arrive in Agra. I will say sabar ka phal hamesha meetha hota hai and hope that CVs indeed have a treat waiting for us when they meet. I felt the Angoori Bhaag scene after the Ben track was one of the best scenes of the show yet ... Hope this reunion is equally if not more beautiful and I am sure it will be worth it to see Jalal's happiness if today's episode was any indication!
Without much ado, here is my take 5 for today:
(1) The Shehenshah and his subjects: There were three things I liked about the scene:
- How Jalal said he did not expect any gifts for what he did ... He was fulfilling his duty to his subjects. I loved his sense of responsibility here!
- The touched happiness when he received the Holy Quran from his Hindu Subjects; it had a nice message of religious tolerance.
- Jalal's prayer in the end: The reason he liked it was it showed beautifully how you can have complete belief in your own religion while understanding other religions and not differentiating people of other religions ... And the soul talk cemented that idea further. 👏
I am not sure if Jalal forgave Shivani and abolished the pilgrimage tax to directly impress Jodha, but he definitely did it to gain blessings to get back with Jodha! 😆😉
(2) The Jalal-Ruqs scene: You may be shocked to see this on the list ... But I added this for a very specific reason. I am sure many people found this scene a filler ... But I think it showed a very important thing which was where the Ruqs-Jalal relationship stands after Ruq's confession of her role in the MU. Some may be shocked at how nice Jalal was to Ruqs- but in a wierd way it made sense to me as I think Jalal understands how Ruqs was influenced by Maham Anga like he was. Ruqs truly believed Jodha was at fault and wanted to catch her in action unlike Maham Anga who knew Jodha was innocent.
Also, the scene was critical for us to understand the next track, which is Ruq's jealousy (again). Oh before the sun shines ... Why do I always see the next clouds. 😆
(3) The spectator Maham Anga: I actually like how the CVs have been focusing on Maham Anga silent and frustrated ... To see changes in administration and decisions being made without her input being asked ... This is her biggest punishment- to be like a painting on the wall instead of the middle of the action, wielding the power she loved so much.
It was very symbolic to have Todarmal entrusted the responsibilities of the celebrations instead of Maham Anga when the two were standing there. ⭐️
(4) The expressions of happiness on everyone's face on Jodha's departure to Agra:
- The Rajvanshis continued to be eager and happy to send off their Jodha to Agra
- Hamida Bano and Salima Begum were naturally happy and beaming; loved the line of Hamida Bano's that this should be a lesson to both of them to trust each other
- Even Hoshiyar seemed happy ... Thank God he was not the one who gave the news to Ruqs or he would have gotten a big slap!
- Even Moti was happy ... Is she not worried her competition was back 😆 Just kidding,
(5) And the biggest happiness of all, the happiness of Jalal : He was like a little boy waiting for his biggest gift ... He just could not contain his happiness ... And it was so endearing. I like today's precap as well for the same reason- that he was so excited to see one sight of his Jodha Begum. There are no words to describe how Jalal brought this excitement to the screen, just go watch it! 😃
I think Atgah Khan was a bit jealous of Jalal's hug of Todarmal the other day so he made sure he got one from Jalal today! 😉
