I have a different take on this. Had Akbar died before the reforms of Teerth Kar, he would have remained forgotten in the pages of history. There would be no movie and no serial. So, this reform is critical in the story of Akbar and the CV's wanted to tie this with his relationship with Jodha.

Now considering the question of love, think from Jodha's point of view, how can she love a man in whose name an odious tax is levied on the people of her clan. Love means respecting the feelings of the beloved and how can that be as long as the tax was in place. The Tax was a constant reminder that Jalal did not care enough of the hurt Jodha felt because of this even when he had seen first hand how oppressive the tax was.

Imagine a white plantation owner in America in the 1800's in love with a black slave girl. It is possible but it is not a love of equals. It is not epic in any sense.

The CV's have been generous in his portrayal but in history, till now Jalal was not a very lovable man, even Sher Shah Suri in his 5 years did more than Jalal had done, busy as he was in harem politics or petticoat politics as it was called.

The Teerth Kar reform was the first big step. Many other reforms followed and Jalal became Akbar the Great.

This is NOT a normal arranged marriage. It's a polygamy. It's a forced marriage. It's a marriage where you are ONE wife amongst thousands. Jodha wants the MAN not the Shahenshah. Regarding change, it's a marriage involving two DIFFERENT clans, which happened for the first TIME. It takes time to understand. I don't find it wrong to see that she wanted a man with a HEART. Is it too much to ask for ? Was this her condition? No. It was necessity and more so for Jalal. How can one LOVE without a heart? People call it Jalal's Love. ? There is never even a possibility of ONE SIDED 'EPIC' LOVE, even from Jalal. If it is EPIC, it comes from BOTH sides, otherwise not. Btw, When did Jalal himself understood that he has a heart, I FEEL via Jodha ? Even Ruqayya could not ignite his ''heart'' even after 12 years of marriage. Jodha NEVER asked him to change. He understood it himself.

There is NO writing on the wall that both partners take steps alternately by counting and after impeccable mathematical calculations, one after another. Just shared my thoughts. Carry on. :)

I feel the main reason behind jodha coming back is now she again started trusting him which she lost when he doubted her...before she slowly started realising that jalal have heart ...but when again he doubted her and asked to leave agra...she completely lost faith in him..even when he came back she was still not confident and was in a dilemma if he repeat the same thing then..so till now she was reluctant..but now when he started doing things listening to heart she again regained the lost faith and decided to come ...i agree to certain extent that jodha was also at fault to certain extent in this whole suja fiasco..

hmmm...but why was not any love shown before the suja fiasco she was still in denial mode, remember when jalal tried to touch her hand she withdrew it as if she is untouchable..such things were shown before suja fiasco..it makes me hard to believe a love where two people are not even allowed to touch each other..somehow the execution is faulty..their scenes together have failed to touch my heart that is why i am not looking forward to the epic love track unless they prove me wrong!

she came out of ghrina..but now when she was falling for him..suja fiasco happened..for some reason nothing was convincing enough to make my heart skip a beat on seeing these two together!

i agree bhavya..cvz have made falooda out of the epic love..infected by gajinitis and has no cure whatsoever..when she was kajri i thought she was in love the way she was shy..then i guess she forgot and went back to square one..and then this suja fiasco..i am completely

Bhavya.. Sif kartavya ke liye koyi vish peeyega kya? If so, why didn't saleema begum do it for her shohar or Hameeda for her son.. they also knew that Ben was vishkanya..

As far as I remember she started developing soft corner for him when she was supported by Jalal to pracitce Hinduism and when she was untouched by him in her unconscious state.. These two things I account to husband Jalal, than a shehansha Jalal.. What say?😆
