Jodha Begum has been spoken of in glorious terms, about the one and only one able to 'understand' Jalal, 'feel' his pain and 'reach out ' to him when he needs most. Most famous example: Her placing her hand on his shoulder in BB affair.

But this track has clearly shown what she can be if things do not go smoothly for her...if her pride is offended. To her his hurt hardly matters if it is a question of her hurt. For all the eye reading she expects, there is nothing that she can read in his eyes. She places her pride above his pain. How then is she different from Ruqaiya? The question is only wrt Jalal. I know that Ruqs is nasty when it comes to others.

Now she is going to have sense drilled into her by her parents, her family and Shaguni Bhai...all this to make her realise things and being put on the right track. The difference seems that Ruqs doesn't have parents to put her on track when she made mistakes; her parents perished in an attempt to save Jalal, his dad and his empire. And hb...what can she do for Ruqs when she hardly does anything for Jalal!

Valid question ! This forum (except this thread 😉) is so obsessed with Jodha that they clearly ignores the very aspects of her nature that are very much similar to Ruqu's.

I see no difference in Ruqaiya and Jodha when it comes to Jalal ! both are selfish in their own way, Ruqu is obsessed with her power and Jodha with her ego or call it her pride. Jodha once asked Ruqaiya that will she love Jalal if he has no power, no audha to offer her, she wanted to say that for Ruqu her audha comes first ! but now why can't this woman ask herself the same question that will she love Jalal unconditionally ? Will she consider her pride, her self-respect secondary when it comes to him ? She walked away with a smile of triumph that day but now she is no different than Ruqaiya ! All this gyaan she gives is for others but her own love can never be unconditional, she will always love him in a way that her pride never gets compromised and I'm sure he will train himself to take care of it. People in a glass house shouldn't throw stones and this is what Jodha needs to remember when she lectures others. I laugh at her ideologies and its a pity that Jalal's so called soul-mate is no different than his best-friend.

For a woman, her self respect comes first, even if it becomes ego/pride after a time, still no one cares, and even for me, if all this comes above your love, then it is not unconditional love, like Jalal has for Jodha, she also comes with conditions, if Jodha had fallen in love with the man he was/is, then it was unconditional, but she loves the person, who has transformed himself to her likes (like saying yes to all her wishes) (with others he was always the same, a nice husband, friend, son and king), then she fell in love, I don't see any change in Jodha, so he loved the same girl what she was, he didn't expect her to change, but Jodha liked him only when she saw that, he has the qualities what she wanted in her husband (infact much more, than she could have asked for)

Sandhya, for Jodha first comes her pride (earlier I didn't have this in list, as Ameris were in list), then comes her family, friends, then HB, SB, Rahim, and Pashu/pakshi also in the same order. Ruq- yes she loves Jalal and probably more than herself, but she loves him for his Power😉, no one thinks that, from the time she has got her senses, she has been in power and it is very obvious for her to behave like that, there was no one who told her, what is wrong or right, all her tantrums were accepted and all her orders were followed, but who cares, she is selfish and she was possesive of her husband and tried to frame Jodha, and today if Jodha becomes possesive, everyone will go gaga about her love for him and she feeling jealous is a positive sign, but Ruq is also his wife and she can also think the same and infact, she is behaving the way, normally me, you or anyone who claims to say Jodha is right will behave, but no one agrees to it.

There were arguments that she is trying to correct his faults as is the duty of a good wife rather than accept the man with his shortcomings. Pray which fault is she trying to correct now? He has agreed to his folly (though she doesn't have the grace to accept her mistake in the affair yet) and apologised. Yet the woman is in the 7th heaven, as her pride was offended. And there is nothing in her thoughts of his having to control his anger...it is only about 'humse kadve vachan bole' 'hamara maan bhang kiya' 'hamare charithra par sawal utaya'. All herself. And how easy it was for her to lecture and lecture on the greatness of forgivance in BB affair.

She can be good only if everyone gives her bhaav. Even yesterday she asked Shehnaaz how she can call her bewkoof inspite of being her friend. Jodha wants only the roses, not the thorns that comes with it. But she can be full of pride, question his integrity, morality, accuse him of wanting a daasi and what not. What kind of love is that? When she said 'prem bad gayi hai' it sounded as hollow as an empty cylinder. What a woman my poor Jalal has chosen to fall in love with. Boys are boys. Go crazy about the silliest girls.
