Better than DD i want EK to pick a Shakespeare story, DD has become too much in Hindi.. Indian masses haven't seen much of his work. If i am not wrong, wasn't there already a show on Devdas earlier? 😕

yes, it had iqbal khan in it but did not work well..it had a good start but fizzled out in the middle..then did not last long!..although iqbal is a great actor but RT brings his own personality into the character and makes it look original and different..he has something special in him which no telly actor has it..now look at akbar, PK nailed it..HR was also good and there were many documentaries that showed akbar as a ruthless king but in JA RT has given an entirely different shape to akbar the great..he does not resemble any of the other akbars but has his own charm and screen presence..and that is what i love about RT..any other actor who plays devdas will not be able to bring that difference and originality that rajat can!
