San, the most response you will definitely get is that Jodha is not EVIL as maham is not GOOD.

But as someone in the forum told me, its only us who see that Jalal is hurting due to Jodha's lie, so we cannot expect her to understand she has caused his pain. Hence her 'deer in the headlight' act is fully acceptable. Her not telling the truth is also fine, because she doesnt know that the lie is killing him.

If you want to follow this route, then how can anyone say that Jodha and Maham are different? Only us viewers know it right? We have to agree that Ashwini paints such a perfect Maham, that Jalal will never find out her evil side. Then how can people say Jodha's mistakes are forgivable due to her holiness? I know I am going in such a Jelebi way that I am not sure if anyone gets my point. I am getting dizzy with this double standards everyhwere.

Jodha - must be forgiven because whatever she did she did it out of goodness, and she risked her life

Maham - must be crucified because whatever she did she did it out of evil, including saving the helpless toddler Jalal. (come to think of it, isn't Maham the more greater? Jalal at that age was completely at the mercy of others for protection)

Eventhough, in the eyes of Jalal he neither sees Maham's evil, nor understand the twists and turns of Jodha's actions.

You know what Jalal should do? Practice his sword...Angry Jalal with his sword. Yum!!

Why is he wasting his time like this? Doesn't he have Mewar to re-capture, some heads to chop, some horses to tame?

What happened to the on the go active Jalal. It seems like all the exercise he gets is walking on the terrace muttering ' q jodha begum, q???

usually women who have been left to fend for themselves, will resort to the skill they have the best to support themselves right? Like tailoring, teaching, cooking. So they tend to work for others using the skill or start small with the skill. Lets see Jodha begum ka hunar

a. Baashan - She can write politcal speeches, help those who have insomnia, can be hangman substitute

b. Archer - She could be a good hunter if only she didn't love pashu pakshi's so much

c. Singer - She can do perfect Sita maiyaa with this one

d. Cook - anyone for a take out from Jodha's kitchen?

e. nanny - if she sheds some of that bulk of jewel she can actually be a good kindergarden teacher.

Smile is the best makeup for any women. but it has some expections.

when some one is hurt for what you are doing and literally begging to tell the truth, you cant smile like you are not releated to it.

You can ignore ones question, once, twice or thrice and smile back. But not all the time. anything has its limit.

He didn't then. That is why he told Maham he had made mistakes with Jodha before hence he will not jump the gun and do the same thing again. Which led him becoming the sorry and lost king Aunty described.

Are you serious? Does jalal have to drink poison to be trusted by her? He was willing to give up his kingdom which he won by blood and sweat JUST to keep his promise to her. If she wants to go look for reason to trust, then its such a disgrace to the wedding vow she took. Spouses don't need proof to trust each other. It never should work that way.

Rak, I do find most of your points quite valid and don't worry, until, you use right language I guess most will not take an offense.

Our topic maker is very fond of Jalal😉 and I am very fond of JO, but I seek her posts always as they are fun to read and there's plenty of humour and wit to amuse myself with. I am assuming I have never riled her up.

I am in agreement with all your points. Coming to think of it, Jalal has not been himself with Jo even before she decided to resign from Harem post. So I do agree that she IS being im-perceptive by not realising that she and her nightly strolls can be the reason for all the frowns on his face

Again, if I were Jo, I would also not believe that Jalal will deal with Sujamal fairly. Remember he did shut her up when she tried to speak about Sujamal! So I would also try to hide and save my brother. But...a big BUT.. I am not as courageous as Jo and I may not take that risk.

2nd Suj being a wanted criminal in mughal sultanat and Jo still meeting him. I guess she is entitled to take a few liberties with the law. Its a chance that she wants to take to ensure her hubby is safe. He first meeting was with Sujamal to question him why he attacked her hubby... not to save him. When she realised Suj may have answers on who tried to attack Jalal, she met him again...

Jalal always tells Moti to not let Jo know that he had come. And unless otherwise shown I will believe that Jo does not know Jalal had come to meet her at night.

At the end it is mostly how viewers want to read the heroine. To me the perfect match for a strong man like Jalal who is so worldly wise, brave and extraordinary is Jo, who is not scared to dare even if its a little foolish... If we think too much before we leap, we might not leap.

Some may find a docile homely Kajri a better match... Kajri to me looked like a blink and miss woman... a regular goodlooking devoted wife... a commoner. She wasn't wholesome. She was just a part of the Jo I like for all her good qualities.
