My heart went out through and through and through to Jalal...
Ever since the Ben incident, Jalal's been asking question after question after question after question ...teasing her about the dhakka to get her to retort...pleading with her to get something out...hoping she'd say something during the many times he's asked 'what's going on in your mind'...holding her hand to see if she'd accept his gestures...showing and voicing his support as a friend...advising her when she's low...TELLING her she can trust him...showing his hurt - EVERYTHING!
As far as I'm concerned at this point, he's made up for all the atrocities he's committed during the Ben kaand! After those 2 day tears in the dargah, I wasn't as moved as I'm today...at this point the kind of internal hurt he's swallowing every second that she doesn't speak up is tormenting! The fact that he's coming up with all sorts of theories (and today he hit the jackpot too) to pacify to his mind/heart is heart-warming! Even if we saw our best friend beginning to meet up with someone else and trying to coverup those meetings (for whatever reason), we'd start feeling insecure/jealous/possessive whatever after a certain point of time! This is his wife!
If a man today told his friends 'My wife's meeting up with someone at nights..I know she's loyal, but I don't know why she's not confiding in me.. maybe she's scared...maybe its her brother' He'd be nothing less than the laughing stock of his group...
If a woman told her girlie pals that her husband/boyfriend was having covert meet ups with another girl at night and lying to hide it...all her friends would jump upon her to get her to dig deeper and NOT just sit back and watch!
Here; this guy has been brought up amidst mistrust, deceit, power-play and backstabbing from those he called his very own. Yet, he's grown to trust a girl he's barely known for less than a year - all he asks of her is to show trust in him - that he'd do good for her and protect her! All he wants from her is confidence - friendship - trust. Can she not show this back? I have no doubt she cares for him - but, she hasn't understood him like he's understood her.
If not, she'd have shown the same trust by a bit of retrospect 'If I told him about Sujamal, he wouldn't raise his sword at once...he would hear me out...let me give him this benefit of doubt...'
Also, it's not like she doesn't know of the number of enemies Sujamal has... her own father possibly hates him as much as Jalal himself does...so, if her father was in battle against Sujamal would she still be meeting up with him at nights? Maybe... but, after a point doesn't make much sense and is not ethical either. She is a queen and she'd know that they're not the first pair of siblings that have been split up in politics - not then, not today!
Jalal said he's doubted her many times in the past and failed to be proved right, so he trusts her now - which means he's learnt from his mistakes. Then, what about her? Hasn't she mistrusted him many times in the past and been proved wrong too? Be it, the tent scene where he saved her from the snake, the body heat-fake pregnancy, Sukanya alliance etc? Yes, she swallowed poison for him and took humiliation upon her head..similarly, he too put his life in danger for her and bore humiliation from her and for her sake too! So, I don't understand why only he's the one ALWAYS being proved wrong?
I absolutely loved the way her portrayal was shaping up in the past three months, but this track is not so good...why is she needlessly losing her peace AND torturing him - for no real return?
I fail to understand what it is that the CVs are trying to make Jodha do..It is something relatively straightforward...i.e. telling Sujamal that she can't meet him... or taking back a meaningless promise during one of her three-four meetings...or just confiding 'something' to her husband...instead, I feel she's getting sucked into a web of her own undoing further and further... and really in the past week, what has she achieved by staying quiet? I mean, in a palace of thousands of inhabitants where and how is she going to start investigating if she doesn't start telling her confidants about what's happening - WHAT CAN she achieve all alone by not taking anyone into confidence?
This is getting too painful to watch - but, this drama is far far far better than the MC, Fake pregnancy or the Ben kaand because it shows where both of them stand in their relationship now...
All these high-drama tracks ran low on logic.. but, at least this one has a proper husband-wife vendetta!
I'm not saddened by the track - I'm saddened by the anguish Jodha and most of all, Jalal is going through!
