Dear All..
I came to know about this "Latest Scandal " just now...!!😕

Well, Tripti Dear...Being a person who has visited FS and such places multiple times, I would like to state that ,remember one thing for the time being... guides are not very reliable unless they are properly qualified for the job...

Secondly, the thing you were told by the guide is something which was a practice among Rulers of the Ottoman empire... but NOT Akbar ...😊( Again I state here, TE was NOT so Gaya -Guzraa...)😃

Akbar used to enjoy Holi with his Hindu Begum(Read MUZ) and other hindu subjects and was quite respectful towards the tradition...😊

So no question of "Naked display of women" here...Yes, playful flirtations were there ..just as a part of the festival...!! 😆😆

Hope this 1st hand experience helps clear the cloud that has formed here by the "Statement"😃

Regards,
Kamal

I am really surprised and disgusted at so much falsehood spread by these guides and on the net about Akbar. No other king has been degraded so.😭

I remember when I visited Fatehpur Sikri fort, there were cubby holes running all around the area. The tour guide told us that these holes were for the harem women to store their jewellery when the Akbar ahemmm, played with them. 😆

They stored all of this esp during HOLI & ran around half naked , enjoying themselves with the Emperor... He mentioned that even though his MUZ was a Hindu she seldom participated with them & didn't like these activities... 🤣

There was a huuuge live size chess-board which was used by dancing women, in all sorts of revealing attire.. Many times they used to be naked for Akbar's pleasure. ☺️

Wow...scandalous...

However, after having travelled all around the world, I have realized that one should be careful about giving too much importance to travel guides. I have sometimes been to a historical site twice( second time as a host to my guests) and have found a completely different explaination from two guides. I am certainly not dismissing what you are saying but before labelling one of my favorite historical characters as a wierd sex crazed maniac, I would like to confirm that. Here is what I suggest

1. There are a lot of silent readers on this forum. I am sure that some of them have been to Sikri. Can someone corraborate what the guide told Mallika- e - bhais. Is it something that you have heard as well?
2. Is it historically documented? If yes, please send us a link.

I was wondering if the Portuguese had nude beaches in that era as well. If we go by this guide's theory, the emporer would have loved it...right😆 but no portugal visit documented from what I know.
Thanks.
Have a good weekend!

Hi.

Thank You for settling this issue.😊

Though the issue is settled that how certain GUIDES manipulate things at their whims and fancies.😕 But, i was shocked 😲 to read such info.🥱 Hence, decided to RE-RE-CHECK .!..

As for HOLI, we already made a thread where it was clearly given about Akbar playing Holi with his Hindu Begum. 😊 Link for the thread is in my UPDATED signature below.

Also here again:
Mughal Dresses + Holi festival + Mirza Hakim + Shivani Track info + Akbar-MUZ Convo., + Jodha's Sikri Palace + Sher Shah Suri + Akbar was dyslexic..??..etc
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/jodha-akbar/3848936/mughals-ja-real-is-not-fiction-pt4-author-tms-note-on-pg1-and-91

Regarding the holes in the FS complex, i got info that these were MajorlY used for putting earthen lamps/ 'diyas' type things. Note: This is from Abul Faz'l accounts.👍🏼 And, guide said these were for jewellery.😕

And, that BIG chess-board was called "Pachisi". It is between Anup Talao and Diwan-e-Khas. And, infact close to Diwan-e-Khas.
Akbar played games there as said, BUT any such nuisance😕(i am shocked with what the guide told), THAT TOO would be happening near the Diwan-e-Khas,😲 about revealing, etc. etc..😕..???..

Seems that guide was impressed by the paintings from the Turkish Harem of Ottoman Sultans and the contemporary records. And tried to apply the same LOGIC🤬 with Akbar.😕
If i visit in future i will FIRST ask these GUIDES who told them this nonsense.!.

**************Leaving this Topic. It's CLEAR.😊Something general on GUIDES***************

Anyways, we still get theories about palaces of Queens being swapped😉 by certain guides, along with their "identities" as well.😉 So, this was ALSO another piece of imagination.

BTW, Syria(Clumsy_Wings) once asked me about the "Mental Status" of guides of FS,😆 as some of her acquaintances went to FS probably and were TOLD that MUZ was a Christian.😕
Now i understand her state.😆

@Tamy.Sahi kaha.Seems Akbar has to come now to PROVE..Enough questions on them now.!.
@Sandhya...Not only Akbar has been badly degraded but his Hindu Queen also.(RIP)😊

trippy, r u suggesting that Jallu had his own version of girls gone wild?😆The honor should go to his son Salim who lists babies name in his diary likes some dispersion of seeds by the birds. 😆 Even who think was only faithful to Nur Jahan after he married are wrong. He might have not taken another wife, but he was a ladies man I will tell u.😆 Don't know why a lot of people are hell bent on proving Jallu as a man who could not keep on his pants. 😕😆

lol, Abhay most of the guides after money I think with only few rarely caring about the genuine history. That's is why most of them provide info saying Jalal had his own version of American Pie, or MUZ being Christian. i guess they use whatever info to their advantage.😆

beautiful pic, Ela.. thanks ...🤗

btw next time u go to any such place, like agra fort or here again, can u ask them abt the colors they use for painting... coz long back when i visited Sikri fort, that guide was telling us that the colors were the extracts of some plants, or leaves or vegetables, and so... i really want to know how they used to make it...
