A big big big thanks for the pictures Ela😛 Sheesh Mahal, Jallu's tomb (exterior + andar ka dark kabra), the Tree are all so clear. The architecture, the silence, the serenity😳
A request Ela. Do visit Jo's tomb (I think it is stepwell - unsure though) and please post pictures as well. These pictures are a great treasure for people like me who are not certain of visiting these places in the near future

Even I want to see JO tomb pics .

But thanks for these lovely pic😊, seeing the pic of akbars tomb ... I don't know why but I felt sad , because there lies a king who achieved so much , he started life as a warrior at 13 years ... Had numerous attacks on his life , he was a great visionary but now he lies there in peace

I remember when I visited Fatehpur Sikri fort, there were cubby holes running all around the area. The tour guide told us that these holes were for the harem women to store their jewellery when the Akbar ahemmm, played with them. 😆

They stored all of this esp during HOLI & ran around half naked , enjoying themselves with the Emperor... He mentioned that even though his MUZ was a Hindu she seldom participated with them & didn't like these activities... 🤣

There was a huuuge live size chess-board which was used by dancing women, in all sorts of revealing attire.. Many times they used to be naked for Akbar's pleasure. ☺️

Wow...scandalous...
However, after having travelled all around the world, I have realized that one should be careful about giving too much importance to travel guides. I have sometimes been to a historical site twice( second time as a host to my guests) and have found a completely different explaination from two guides. I am certainly not dismissing what you are saying but before labelling one of my favorite historical characters as a wierd sex crazed maniac, I would like to confirm that. Here is what I suggest

1. There are a lot of silent readers on this forum. I am sure that some of them have been to Sikri. Can someone corraborate what the guide told Mallika- e - bhais. Is it something that you have heard as well?
2. Is it historically documented? If yes, please send us a link.

I was wondering if the Portuguese had nude beaches in that era as well. If we go by this guide's theory, the emporer would have loved it...right😆 but no portugal visit documented from what I know.
Thanks.
Have a good weekend!
