CHAPTER 41

Hira left jalal's Hojra, and Jala was furious with this attitude of Hira . Later on that day after Diwane- aam jala was looking at Hira's painting , he was trying to find out is that the same guys, The eyes of the porter is so deep attractive full of life , but today what Jalal saw was cold eyes where a fire was hidden, Jalal was thinking about these things when Rukayiya entered, she saw jalal looking at the painting .

Rukayiya- Kya baat hai jalal? Kya dekh rahe hai iss tasweer me? Aab to aap ke paas iska insane aks hai . jalal did not realized that Rukayiya has entered he just turned around , oh aap hai Rukayiya begam , dekh rahhe hai ke kabhi kabhi tasweer bhi dhoka de jati hai. Taweer me koi kuch lagta hai aur asliyat me kuch aur hota hai.( What are you trying to find in this picture jalal, now you have the human reflection of it. Oh it's you Rukayiya Begam ,. I am just trying to find out that sometime people are totally different from how they look in picture,)

Rukayiya- jante hai hum jo bhi hua, sahi kha tha aap ne ek aag hai unme warna aap ke samne bolne ki himaat bahat kaam log kar pate hai Jala. Chahe wo baat kitni bhi sahi ho .( I know about the happening. You was right she has a fire in her. There is only people who have the guts to speak there mind in front of you, may be they are right but they do not have the guts).

Jala- looks at rukayiya and gives a wicked smile, yahi to baat hai unme Rukayiya, jis wajaye se hum unhe pana cahate the, unka bekhaf jasba . aap janti hai aaj jaab unhone humse baat thi to unki baato me bagawat thi, par ankho me ajeeb sa thanda pan tha, isiliye pata nahi kyu hum unpar narazgi bhi dikha nahi paye. Unhone ek sehensha se baat karne ki tameez bhi barkara rakhi aur apni baat bhi kahi.( that's why I wanted to get her. Her fearless attitude make her irresistible . You know she was rebellious in her talks but she had a cold expression in her eye, that is why I was unable to show my anger to her . She put her pint in front of me and also maintained the dignity to talk with a sehensha)

Rukayiya- lagta hai aap ne bahat gaur se unki ankho me dekha tha Jalal . tabhi to use bhool nahi pa rahe hai . Jalal feels the changes in Rukayiya's face , jala tuches Rukayiya's cheeks and cuddle it .( I think you have closely observed her eyes jala that's why you are unable to forget her.)

Jalal- to begame khas ko jalan ho rahi hai kyu rukayia? Aap me humne jalan kabhi nahi dekhi pehele.( so begame khas is jealous . I have never seen jealousy in you before.)

Rukayiya- jalan nahi hai hume jalal hum jante hai humari jaga aap ke dil me koi nahi le sakta hai, hum aap ke saabse kareeb the hai aur humesha rahenge , hume fikr hai to Hira begam ki unhone aap ki zid ko jagaya hai, aur hum jante hai jaab taak aap unhe pa nahi lenge tab taak aap ko sukun nahi milega .( I am not jealous I was. I am and will be close to your heart . I am Worried about Hira Begam , I know she has challenged your ego and till you get her your ego won't be satisfied .)

Jala- bahat ache se janti hai aap hu,me, kahyer abhi hum cahlte hai adga sahib se kuch maslat karni hai aap se baad me milte hai allah hafis ( You know me very me very well. Now I have to go and meet adga Sahab have some matters to discuss allah hafis.)

Rukayiya- allah hafis. After2-3 months of the marriage jala and hira was still not in talking terms Hira was allowed to go to the temple everyday but that point of time no commoner was allowed to enter the temple, as per sahi farman . Hira has developed a good friendship with Salima begam, they often chat with each other. She also had a great relationship with malikaye azam , she now calls her ammi jaan . Every day hira use to meet her and ask about her health and here stories about her life , her experiences and how she had to run from her with her husband. Other begam's were jealous of her as she was close o malikaye azam. from hira really loves Rahim like her own son, now Hira slowly have started to settle down. One day Hira was doing her pooja and arti she closed her eyes after the prayer and when she opend her eyes she saw that rwo laddu from the Prasad was not there, she smiled and asked, kaha hai humare natkhat kahen kahna? Hume to aap dikhayi hi nahi de rahe hai? Suddenly acute voice replies - hum palang ke piche nahi hai choti ammi jaan.

Hira- Slowly went behind the bed and caught rahim, pakar liya aap ko, Rahim try to free himself from Hira finally he gives up and says, - ye sahi nhai hai choi ammi jaan , aap ne hume dhoke se pakra hai aap ko aisa nahi karna cahiye tha . aap ko hume pakarna hai to daur kar pakriye . Hira was running behind Rahim and suddenly she saw that Maham anga was giving instructions to a bandi , aaj jala Mathura se agra laut rahe hai jala ke agra me istakbaal ki tayiyari bahat ache se honi cahiye , hum nahi cahate jalal ke istakbal me koi bhi kami ho, mahamanga saw that Hira was running behind Rahim , she addressed begam Hira with a smile-

Maham- salam alekum begam Hira , kais hai aap?( Salam alekum begam Hira how are you?)

Hira- pranam hum ache hai aap kaisis hai mahamanga ji?( Pranam I am Fine How are you mahamanga ji?)

Maham- hum to ache hai par thore se masruf hai, aap ko to pata hi hoga jalal Mathura se laut rahe hai , ( I am fine but a little busy, as you know jala is coming back from Mathura.)

Hira- Mathura? Kya wo Mathura gaye the? ( Mathura? Has he went to Mathura?)

Maham- aap ko iss baat ki khahbar nahi? Waise hum bhi ajeeb hai aap ki aur sehensha ki baat chit kaha hoti hai ? to aap ko kaise pata hoga ? wo aaj hi lautne wale hai khayer abhi hum chalte hai aap khelne me masruf hai, hume apni bari ammi hone ki zimedariya nibhani hai, khuda hafis,( You did not know this? Oh silly me you and sehensha heardly talks, how will you know about it. He is coming back today. I will take your live you are busy plying but I have to fulfill my duty as a bariammi. Khuda hafis) and maham anga leaves . Hira is use to this kind of behavior she does not bother anymore , frankly she does not bother whether Jalal gose anywhere . Hira start searching for Rahim when she meets Salima begam. Salima begam always have a smile on her face , Hira also replied to her with a smile.

Salimabegam- Adaba Hira begam aap kuch dhund rahi hai? Hira replies with a pranam.( Adadab Hira begam are you searching for something?)

Hira- ha hum Rahim ko khoj rahe the wo humare saath khelte khelte na jane kaha cahle gaye. ( I am looking out for rahim, he was playing with me , but now he has gone somewhere.)

Salima- aap fikr maat kijiye rahim humare hojre me hai bahat sararati ho gaye hai Rahim. Ksis ki baat nahi snte hai wo, sehensha ko lautne dijiye unse rahim ki sikayat karni hogi.( don't worry Rahim is in my room, he has became very naughty . After sewhensha retunes I will complaine about rahim to him)

Hira- got a bit worried, salima begma saw that she asked

Salima begam- Hira, kya hua aap itni paresaan kyu ho gayi?(Why you are so worried?)

Hira- nahi humare maan me yahi chinta hai ke aap sehensha ji ko ye baat batayengi aur unhone Rahim ko koi kathor dand de diya to? Unka vyavahar barahi vichcitra aur nirady hai wo iss Vishay ko( No I am worried if you complaine about rahim, to sehensha ji he may end up giving him a big punishment. He is very rude and his behavior is also strange so I think this matter...

Salima begam- Aisa nahi hai Hira begam, sehensha Rahim ko bahat cahate hai, Rahim unki aulad nahi phir bhi Rahim par ek hi kharoch wo bardas nahi kar sakte, wo Rahim ke saath khelte hai aur unke saath khood bh bache baan jate hai. ( It is not like that Hira Begam. Sehensha loves Rahim a lot he is not is own son but cannot tolerate a single cut on rahim's body . he plays with Rahim and become a child like him at that point of time.)

Hira- cannot believe her ears Jalal and kindness impossible . aisa nahi ho sakta salima begam, kadapi nahi. ( It is impossible.)

Saliambegam- Hum jante hai aap ke liye ye manna bahat muskil hai Hira begam kyuki aap ki taraf sehensha ka bartav kuch sakht hai . sehensha dil ke itne bhi bure nahi hai Hira begam baas waqt aur halat ne sehensha ko aisa bana diya hai, kabhi kabhi waqt aur halat insaan ko pathar dil bana dete hai. ( I Know he is a bit rude to you. But he is not like this. Time and situations have mmade him like this, Sometimes time convert your heart into a stone)

Hira- hume aap ki kahi hui baato par bharosa hai hum maan leet hai jo aap kahe rahi hai satya hi kahe rahi hai, abhi hum chalte hai adab.( I believe everyword you say. And I accept that you are right . now I will take you leave Pranam) Hira replies with a pranam. IN the evening jala comes to Agra At that point of time Hira was playing chess with Jiji anga in her hojra, a bandi comes to jiji Anga's Hojra bandi tells that jala has came back to Agra , jiji Anga smiles and loosk up to her but could not find a change of expression in her face , she was minurately thinking about the move of chess jiji Anga smiles at her.

Jijianga- jalal laute hai, cahliye aap ko unka istakbal nahi karan? ( jala has came back come on don't you want to welcome him?)Hira looked up and agin looked down.

Hira- unka swagat karne ke liye bahat sare log hai, aur humara waha jana avasak nahi , malikaye azam (there are lot of people to welcome him. There is no need of my presence )enters and says

Malikaye azam- beshak bahat sare log honge jala ka istakbaal karne ke liye par hum cahate hai ke aap bhi wha ho jalal ke samne aap ana na cahe na sahi par jharokhe se to jalal ko aap dekh hi sakti hai, (Surely, but I wish that you welcome jala. If you do not wish come in front o him at least welcome him from the window.)

Hira- leaves the game , thik hai ami jaan aap kahe rahi hai to hum challenge aap ke saath parantu hum unke sane nahi ayenge .( ok if you say so I will go with you, but I will not come in front of him.)

Mariyam- thik hai jais aap ki marzi aab chaliye huma ate hai, ( ok as you wish, you go I will come.) Hira follows mariyam and she got a view, which is really funny begam's were getting reday, wearing jewelry , some bandies were busy everybody , Hira controlled herself and asked Salima begam what was going on? Salima begam told her teses girls and going mad as they want sehensha's to get attention, hira father asked what benefit they will get from it? Before salima begam can answer they reached the jharokha from where the entrance can be seen , Rukayia begam, malikaye azam, and maham anga was there to welcome jalal , begam's were eager to catch a glimpse of jalal , Jalal looked up casually but he sae Hira there, After a long time jalal saw Hira. Jalal do not talk to her because he is a sehensha he cannot go to her she has to come to him . Jalal remembered when he saw first time saw Hira and got spellbound with her beauty . Now jalal is not very angry with her , he is feeling the same attraction he felt towards Hira for the first time . On the other hand Hira is not looking at jalal she is looking at the sky which is filled with stars, she remembers going on to meet Pancahana in these kind of nights . jalal entered the Fort Hira went back . Malikaye azam was all set with jala's fevroiut dishes, she wants Jalal to have his dinner with her . she is waititng a Bandi comes- Gustakhi maaf malikye azam par sehensha ne kaha hai ke wo aaj wazire aliya key aha khana khayenge.( pardon me malikaye azam but sehesha has said that he will have the dinner with wazire aliya) Mariyam felt very upset she said- thik hai jao, (Ok you go .)hIra asks for her permission and left for her room on the way she went to salima begam's hojra , at that point of time Salima begam was Writing .

Hira- hum bhitar pravesh kar sakte hai salima begam? ( may I come in salima begam?)

Salima begam- ayiye Hira begam , aap ko humari yaad a hi gayi. ( Come in Hira begma so finally you have the time to come to me?)

Hira- aisa nahi hai aap ke paas ane ka samay nahi mila to hum nahi a paye . aap se kuch janna cahatehai aap hume bata de to bhata upkar hoga .( it is not like that. I did not have time so I could not come to you. I want to know something, it will kind of you if you tell me about it. )

Salima begam- kahiye kya jann acahati hai aap hum se. agar hume pata hua to hum aap ki madat zarur karenge ( so tell me what you want to know? If I know about it I will definitely help you)

Really very nice chapter! So little by little Hira is getting comfortable in Palace... I am glad Salima begum explain her about Jalal...and told her that Shenshah is not that bad... So far what I see Jodha has not even 1% interest in Jalal... But story progress to comfort level... Superb... Atleast Jalal is no longer angry at Jodha... Looking forward for more UPDATE SOON

CHAPTER 42

Hira- aaj ammi jaan ne sehesha ji ke liye raat ke bhojan ka prabandh kiya tha, sare ayojan the, agara me pravesh karne ke baad sehensha ji maham anga ji ke paas bhojan kar ne ke lliye chale gaye, pehele apni maa se mile bhi nhai . hume ye Vishay thik nahi laga, apni maa se ek baar wo mil nahi paye?

Salima begam- jodha begam maham anga ki jaga sehensha ki zindagi me bahat upar hai, kabhi kabhi to maliyae azam ki baa two ansuni kar dete hai par maham ki baat kabhi nahi talte.

Hira- hum jante hai ke unhone sehensha ji ke liye jo kiya hai wo koi nahi karta, isis karan vas sehensha ji ke maan me unke liye sradha ka hona bahat hi swavabik parantu iss tarha apne maa ke maan ko kast de kar . pata nahi sehenha ji kis dhatu ke bane hue hai hum sone ja rahe hai , Hira was going to her hojra suddenly she finds out that Jala was chatting with Rahim and laughing out loud, this was the first time when Hira saw Jala like this. Hse could not imagine this is the person who was so ruthless in the war of Amer who behaved so badly with her, Rahim turned arund as he heard the sound of Hira's payel and so did jala, Rahim ran to her and huged her

Rahim- aap kaha thi ammi jaan ? hume aap se kahani sunni hai aur aaj aap apni kahani puri kijiyega .

Hira avoides the staire of jalal and says- cahliye kahne kahan hum aap ko aaj ek nayi kahani sunate hai .

Rahim- chaliye shabba khayer sehensha, aap se hum kaal baat karte hai .

Jala- shabba khayer kahen khana kaal aap aur hum khelenge . and rahim goes with Hira begam. Jala was thinking why did not notice this before? He have to ask for an explanation from Hira fro it . jala first thought he will do it latter but a naughty idea came to his mind , and he ordersa bandi that she should tell hira begma that he wants to meet her. Hira was laughing with Vijaya.

Hira- tumhe dekhna cahiye tha saab kaise sehensha ji ka maan pane ke liye ye saab kar rahi thi.

Vishkha- hum to ye saab pehele se hi dekhtea rahe hai hum jab bhi ye saab dekhte hai hume itni hasi a rahi thi ke kya batau. Par ho bhi kyu na ek baar agar koi bandi ya begam sehensha ke nikat chali gayi to wo mughal samrajya ke vansaj ko janam de sakti hai aur phir uska bahgya badal jayega. The bandi eneters in Hira's hojra. This is the same bandi who is sent by jalal.

Bandi- gusthaki maaf begam sahiba par hum aap ke sehensha ka payegam laye hai.

Hira- kya kaha hai unhone? Vishkah also looks eagerly at the bandi.

Bandi- ji wo aaj ki raat aap se milne ana cahate hai , balki wo arahe hai abhi.

Hira- kya parantu kyu? Hum to.

Bandi- wo to hum nahi jante begam sahiba aap ijazat de to hum chalte hai.

Hira- thik hai aap jayiye, vishaka was looking at hira and laughing, hira saw that and got angry . itne ullash ka karan ?

Vishakha- humara anuman sahi tha.

Hira- kaia anuman?

Vishakha- aja aap ne nahi dekha par humne dekha tha kis tarha sehensha ji aap ko dekh rahe the, lagta hai akrdhit ho gaye hai wo aap se isisliye to aap se milne a rahe hai.

Hira- aisa kuch nahi hai ye keval tumhara vehem hai . jalal enters in Hira begam's hojra , and orders takhliya and all tha dasies lncluding Vijaya went out of the room Hira wanted to stop her but she could not stop her .

Jala- gave a wicked smile wo nahi rukaengi Hira begam . humare hukm se barakuch nahi hai unke liye.

Hira- paranam sehensha aap yaha ?

Jala- kyu Hira begam hum yaha nahi asakte? Aap ke hojre me ane ki ijazat nahai hai?

Hira- looks up with her big eyes poen to jalal. Ye aap ka durg hai sehhensha ji aap ko kahi bhi jane ki anumati hai .

Jala- humne socha aaj hum aap se akar kuch puch le. Waise kaafi achi taha se raha hai aap ne apne hojre ko. Hira is is feeling very uncomfortable jala is loving that he stabd bera to Hira and start talking again.

Jala- hum ne aaj ek baat par kiya Hira begam aaj bari ammi se hume pata cahala ke aap Mughliya saltan ka ek kanoon tor chuki hai, aur jaab aaj aap rahim ko lene ayi"he looks at rahim who was sleeping on Hira's bed. He agin looks to Hira to humne dekha ke aap ne ek aur kanoon tora hai .

Hira- h samjhe nahi sehneha aap ke tatpariya kya hai?

Jala- Hume bari ammi ne bataya ki aap aap ne kisis bhi bandi se koi kaam nahi karwati. Aap ne sare kaam aap khud karti hai, jaab ki ye mughliya kayedo ke khilaf hai. Kya aap manti hai ye sach hai?

Hira - ah ye satya hai, parantu hume kaha gaya tha ke humari dasi ka nirnay humswayam le sakte hai, koi vishes setra ho to malikaye begm usme hastakshep karengi , aur humne ye nirany le kar kaunsa apradh kiya hai?

Jala- aap aisa nahi kar aakti bandia aap ke liye hai unhe aap ke liye kaam karna hi hoga yahi mughal kayeda hai .

Hira- parantu hume samanya sa karya reheat hai, amer me humare sare karya hum swayam karte the, hum jaab hokum ke mehel me the tab bhi hum apne karyiya swayam karte the.

Jala- amer kaur agra me fark hai hira begam, isiliye aap se kahe rahe hai aap ke liye aur humae liye bhale hi iss rishte ki koi ahemiyat na ho par avam taak koi galat baat nahi jani cahiye .

Hira- shama kijiye ga sehensha , parantu aap ne hi hum ek sadharan jivan jine ki amnmati di tho aur ek sadharn stri ke paas bandia ya daasia nahi hoti, aur hum koi rajkanya nahi hai jinhe inn saab vishayo ka avyas ho .

Jala- looks at her and says thik kaha aap ne aap ek sahezadi thori na hai, kaheyr kya hum jaan sakte hai ke aap zebraat itne kaam kyu peehnti hai? Humare khayal se aap ko taufe me kafi zebrat mile the, aur aap raja bharmal ne bhi aap ko bahat sare zebrat diye the.

Hira- looks into jala's eyes with the same cold expression . ha wo unki mahanta thi. Humare pitta ne hume jo gehene diye hum wahi pehentte hai, isse hume lagta hai ke hum unke nikat hai. Aur sadharn strio ke paas... jalal goes closer to her almost bang her on the wall

Jalal- sach sach batayiye hira begam kya aap khas nahi bana cahati? Kya aap ka dil nahi karta ki aap khas bane? That was the first time when Hira properly lokked into jala's eyes , it was so deep filled with mystry.

Hira- flt an attraction but she controlled herself . nahi hume vishes nahi banna hum sadharan hi thik hai .

Jala- thik hai jsis aap ki marzi , abhi hum chalte hai sabba kahyer, hira begam.

Hira- subhratri. Jala exits from hira's Hojra . On the other hand two people were standing near the fort and having a conversation, both had covered their faces .

1^st person- aaj mauka bilkul sahi hai aaj hi hume ye kaam karna hoga,

2^nd person- thik hai aaj raat mehel me ghus kar hi hum kam kahatm kar denge , baas aap ne andar sari tayiyariya to karwayi hai na ?

1^st person- aap be fikr rahiye aaj ye kaam zarur hoga ye wada hai humara aap se.

1^st person- behetar hai ye kaam hi aaj hi ho kyuki agar aaj tum chuk gaye to hum zinda nahi chorenge tumhe, pehele bhi kayi behetarin mauke chuk gaye jho tum.

2^nd person- bharosa rakhiye huzuzr aab aisa nahi hoga

11st person- thik hai aab andar ajo yaad rahe kamiyab ho kar lautna , bahat umide tiki hui ai humari tumse.

2^nd person- ji huzuzr. Hira was feeling suffocated she came out of her hojra to take a breath of fress air, she was looking at the full big moon, it was something special about this night , but she did not know what . she felt very light but she did not know why . she felt like talking to Vijaya but she may be asleep so she dropped the thought . Hira was standing in the balcony and jala was looking at her - ya khuda koi itna khubsurat kaise ho sakta hai, inme gurur bhi hai aur nazakat bhi , haar baar na jane kyu hum inke samne kamzor par jate hai . aaj bho jo humne kiya humne aisa pehele kabhi nahi kya. Kya ho raha hai humare saath?
