Posting my comments from another thread here, as requested by @MaddyO 😊

Jodha as shown in the show is inherently a person who even though is always seen fighting for the right she is also someone who would never want to hurt someone to do that right.

As far as her going to Jalal and Salima requesting them to vote for Ruqs is concerned thats just her way of trying to make sure that their relationship with Ruqs is not ruined coz she knows Ruqs would be heart broken and get nuttier if these people were to openly support Jodha. She does not know that Jalal knows that it was Ruqs who did the Murti kaand, she does not know that Jalal has very less respect left for Ruqs and she does not know that the RuqLal relationship is in a very perilous place right now. She also does not know about the blowout that Ruqs and Salima had before the elections.

So her going and asking these 2 to vote for Ruqs is something that I respect.

Didn't she say something along the lines of "Sambandho ki dor bohot nazuk hoti hai shehenshah" to Jalal once, isnt she just standing by it???

Wasn't she also seen being practical by voting for herself when asked for her vote??? If she was in her mahaan devi mode without any worry for the slaves everyone knows she would have voted for Ruqs, thats how she is.

So practicality is all well and good but expecting the same from a person who is always seen making decisions with her heart would not be very logical now would it

Again I am not upset with Jalal or Salima either, they know Ruqs, they have seen her dislike or hatred for Jodha and they knew she would practically breathe fire if they didn't vote for her or at least Jalal didn't vote for her, hence the reactions out of all the people when Ruqs voted for Jodha. Jalal and Salima have started seeing Ruqs for the person she really is and disliking it but they are still not at that stage where they would want to hurt her or not care about her feelings or actions.

Also Jodha's good intentions were not only for Ruqs, they were for Jalal and Salima too. She did not want their relationship with Ruqs to get ruined, if that were to happen it would hurt Jalal and Salima too right?? not just Ruqs

Na I think she knows that if she sets her mind to it, she can take her case and the slaves plight to Jalal. She has started trusting Jalal and does see him as a just Shehenshah too (which he is), she would have found a way to solve the problems but never at the expense of relationships 😊

AGRRE, Salim's son (KHURRAM) was brought up by Ruk , then she changed. SALIM'S birth she was

hey, leave this Ruku chapter, let's get back to our AkDha... what if Jo talks with Jalal abt how to manage harem responsibilities, and says that she is thinking of delegation of work, that is defining certain responsibilities of harem and appointing other begums as incharge there, and they will report her directly ... what u think will he support her?

Infact 2 days back I HAD TO post on Real Ruqayya Begum, which i did not want to do, as i did not want to hurt any person here.

But still i wrote some 'light' points only.

Infact Shah Jahan was given to Ruqayya and there also she did a blunder of restricting his meeting hours with his actual mom..!!..

Also regarding her caring Salim is OK. Ruqs was very much positive towards Jalal and his son. No doubt on this.

Also Ruqs-Akbar relations improved later ONLY not EARLY .!. Otherwise why he gave A grandson to her..Why not any of his sons or daughter if relations were good in starting..!..

I wont write more on Ruqs. 😊

come on Abhay, we are discussing about the historical charecters and not about our parents or siblings, so let us not feel we hurt anyone by placing the fact. In such case I will have to seek forgiveness from all every time I post against a general openion.😊 Whether he sidelined Ruqaiya due to her evilness or due to his closeness with MUZ, I am not bothered as it is natural for a man to favour his that wife who produce an heir to his continue his family, be it his first wife or last wife. It is natural for others also to pamper the one who gives the royal heir than the one who doesn't. Every one like a plant which blosom the flower even if it is a 'touch me not' and not a creeper even though it elegants the outer look of the villa.

MADDI, I think Ruk has a daughter (FATIMA) who died infancy, before jodha coming. but some writers says Ruk was childless.

Diksha, I would immediately introduce Jodha to one of my office bigwigs that has no idea of delegation and decentralization. If only Jodha was around today, she could have given few lessons to this fat-headed self-centered pig in my office!
