Gayatri I do not think even Jodha has reached the point of 'Khud ko khona' - Infact in an earlier topic of mine I had actually said that this is her greatest fear - and until she can cross this she will never become the 'lover' - I have never been a part of the Jodha Bhajan Mandali - I am totally on TE's corner - A front runner of his Cheerleading Gang!!!

Look child marriage is actually a very complicated thing. Nd I think the prob which jalal nd ruku facing is a disadvantage of child marriage. Possessiveness doesn't means love. Jalal nd ruku had grown up as friends nd their relationship never turned into love. When u grow up ur priorities change nd love can happen anywhere. Nd when u fall in love u try to give more time to tht new relationship. But tht doesn't mean u dont care for others. 2ndly jalal is closer to those people who come to him as a mom or wife, not as BEK or marium makhani. Thts why he is closer to maham. She always shows her love openly. Whereas ruku's main prob is tht she was never there with him when he was upset after BK's death. Tht time jodha was not there then wht stopped her? If u truly love sumone u should be there for tht person. Ruku surely cares for jalal but sumtimes u need to show tht care openly. Nd thts the diff b/w the kid ruku nd the adult one. Jodha shows her care openly. Obviously jalal is not flawless but ruku is also responsible for her faults. Nd if jalal is blamed for evrything then ruku is also responsible for ignoring jalal.

Sorry. Z guys are what aunty would call- diplomatic. They seem to have given a different set of answers to Ela. So I withdraw my request to you to come back.😕
The only common statement is Ruqaiya will make mistake after mistake and not clever ones either. So PLEASE stick to your Rang-Rasiya.😊
JA undoubtedly is just another ordinary serial with the perfect-heroine and poodle-hero in royal costumes.😭

Sandhya, Zee guys are giving answere as per the Qs and the angst that they detect from the callers. So if you are a Ruqs loyalist you will get a different answer, If you are a Jodha fan it will be different and if you are a Jodha-Jalal romantic it will different.

Btw some one has posted a link to a paper on the Mughal Royal women and their power - It mentions Salima and MUZ but no mrntion of Ruqs - Quite telling I would say - and the paper is a research paper in PDF and has all the sources from where the research has been done - links on Abhay's post

You don't have to be an ultra-perfectionist to be capable of loving or being loved either. Neither do you jave to be a shaayar or chant hamein prem hai. 'Keemthi cheez' seems to be anothe nail. But if a person's words alone are what defines them then the most glib talkers will be the best humans.

Snape was among the dark arts, was on voldemort's side called lily a mudblood once, his manners invited everyone's displeasure, was a brooding introvert, but his love for lily is classical/epic.

Snape's love is classical not epic - it falls short there but yes in the current times it is the most intense tale of love that I have read.

YOu don't call that an Epic Love story?! 😲

It was Epic, Classical & the single point of Redemption for his character.. I love Snape. 😳

Isn't there anything sensational in a one-sided love story? Does it have to be angoori baagh meetings and about mahaanta and poodling for a love story to be epic?

Fine , if epic is not the word I would call it intense and most earnest. Certainly a 100 times more than what jo is ever likely to feel for jalal in this epic love story. 😕

WHATTT! 😲 More than Jo? You gotta be kidding...While I agree that Jodha still doesn't feel as strongly for Jalal as he feels for her...while I agree that Jodha's approach to love is too clinical...while I agree that this 'mahaan' portrayal of Jodha is very cliched...don't you think the above statement is too harsh?
Ruqaiyya-Jalal might be intense...but, nowhere as earnest as Jodha-Jalal!

Jodha was a lady who based on an instinct - albeit a very strong one - downed poison to save the life of this man while Ruqaiyya refused to even listen to the proofs. Instead, there she was pushing him to get married to this Ben character

Had she truly loved Shehenshah - a mere suspicion should have been enough to carry out an investigation. Wouldn't we do the same for our loved one - got worried if someone alerted us that our brother/sister/husband/father's life 'might' be in danger. Moreover, this is the emperor who is bound to have assassination attempts. Instead, her obsession to degrade Jodha was more than her than any love for her husband she had!

Jodha -however childish her sense of justice meting - was there by his side when the man was breaking down following BB's truth revelation, while Ruq was probably on another one of her opium trips!

While Ruqaiyya may have regard for him as husband-ruler and immense allegiance to the mughal sultanat, she has nowhere close to the allegiance and devotion to the man Jalal as Jodha has!

In which angle is Ruqaiyya's love epic, Sandhya? Forget love, I'd like to see one selfless non power-based act of hers towards Jalal! 😳

Ruqaiya...oh no...😲. today seems to be my day of being misunderstood. 😭

We were discussing Snape...Harry Potter...his one sided love for lily that adi said was not epic...the reason because of which he lived a life as a double agent saving lily's son harry from voldemort throughout his life while being hated by everyone as they thought that he was on the side of the villain. He lived a life of perpetual danger with death hovering over his head every second and he had to retain a negative image of himself even in the mind of the boy he was saving as the villain could mind read the boy easily. He did so much for the love of his childhood friend who fell in love and married somo one else.
It was Snape's one-sided love story that I called sensational.😃CryCryCry
While I do have a little soft corner for the character of Ruqaiya, I will be the last person to call her selfless. Nowhere in my comments in aunty's previous thread or in this have I spoken of Ruqaiya as deserving . My only complaint was against Jalal of whom I expected a little more.😕
I am critical of Jo only because the situations that highlight her are clichd and contrived, not that she is wrong. In fact she is unbelievably perfect. Shocked
I am not on hookah to call Ruqs' love as anything near epic or sensational...CryCryCry.🤣
