Gosh its so complicated but it looks like Jalaal's secret hope atleast this way certain ahem ahem thoughts and possessiveness will enter Jodha's mind!😆😆😆😆

He was just teasing her because he wanted to see jealous wife.
Didnt he say once(After Ben's end) - Kaah aap ne itne jaga he nahe chod the ki Benazir tho kya koi bhi hamare paas na aasake.
So he himself doesnt want anyone to be close to him, but Jodha only.

jallu was just teasing jodha...
she was so mood off...infact she was lost...he sense that...he wanted to see a smile on her face therefore he teases her...
he is so much in love with jodha that nowadays he even stop going to ruku's room...spend time with ruku...forget abt spending times with other begums...

if we see closely...Mr Shahenshah night doesn't pass peacefully when his feet doesn't land in jodha's room...every night he makes a point to visit jodha only...he makes lots of excuses to meet her...but his daily routine is spending time with jodha...and visiting her every night...and he always does that

he has stop visiting other begums...even ruku...

but if we look at history facts...its gross but then we can't erase the fact that it did happen in those era and i feel bad for the wives who have to share their husband with many other womens...polygamy and infidelity was so welcome in that era...

He knows that she can be jealous of other women close to him. Does he want to have her maintain a log book of his hojra-visits so that her jealousy will push her to him? 🤣

Log visits were kept and this wasn't the work of the begum but of the harem wardens...this is what I read in lizzys reply...😳
This was to make sure there was no hanky panky in the harem in the absence of the emperor especially since he was in harem only for few months in a year... if a woman became pregnant - the log book (I.e, when king visited whom) would ensure that the child was indeed the kings and not as a result of some affair with some outsider...this had great implications because that child could later on lay claim to the throne...

Bhavya read abhay's post ...even including the begums, bandhis, aunts, sisters, their guards, mother, nannies etc et the total number of women was nowhere close to 1000 and all...harem was a place where women stayed...not everyone there was his wife...😊

My guess-
Also, while Jodha might find the harem concept new ... Some form of a system must have existed across most other kingdoms too, right...because, most kings practised polygamy na 😊
Also, I've heard that it was the duty of the maharani to dress the chosen younger queen for the night...😕 But, I could be wrong...

Very well said lashy! It was not only akbar but trend of all the kings of that time! What else do u expect in polygamy, devi pooja of one female! The begums knew and were used to it...!

Completely agree. This would have been the custom of many kings through out the world, all throughout history. You would be very hard pressed to find a king who only married one woman and stayed faithful to her through out the marriage. Almost all of them would have had mistresses and more than one wife. Women in these men's lives would just have to put up with it. It would have absolutely sucked to be the woman who fell in love with a man like that. Imagine being in love and having to grind your teeth and put up with the system. 🤢. Just glad polygamy is not the norm nowadays.

Like your answer. You have pointed out very good points.

In those era polygamy was a common thing and Jodha knew before hand that Jalal had other wives. I guess her Father also had many. Furthermore, she was living in the Harem with other wives so it must have being something normal to her

I thought about this a bit and I came to the conclusion that Ruqaiya might have been handling the spending of time with his begums.

Remember what she said to Jodha in the beginning? She said that it is up to her which begum Jalal decides to spend his nights with so she'd better be on good terms with Ruqaiya.

And also, Ruqaiya knew when he had spent time with that concubine who was pregnant and so she knew that it was not Jalal's child - she was obviously keeping some kind of record.

As for whether this falls under the harem warden responsibilities of Ruqaiya or whether this is how she handles Jalal, that is up for debate! 😆

But, of course,at the end of the day, it is entirely up to the Shahenshah himself who he wants to spend time with!

looks lik title change karna padega from JA to akbar and his harem waasis kahaani😕i dnt want jo to manage this harem thing..she shud prove it by winning election and may be she shud continue for smetime or give it to salima bcz its even difficult for jo to make forward her relationship with jallu if she starts to keep an watch on with whom he is spending night and counting her husband time with other wives...

If i were in Jo's place n had to manage the entire harem and Akbar's routine with His ladies... I would have managed to keep him all for myself 😃 N i wouldn't mind him sleeping with other ladies if he truly loved me
