Was it love at first sight for Jalal and Jodha? Ummm if you ask me...it would definitely be a no! Infact initially it was ghrina at first and every sight for Jodha and as far as Jalal is concerned he was simply mesmerized by her beauty and wanted her at any cost. But then it was not love from his side even. But now what?? Now I feel its love at almost every sight( Jalal looking back to find Jodha and being unable to utter a single word, Jodha acknowledging her prem indirectly, eye locks and what not). For every marriage love is not the reason. Infact a successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person ( of course the same person) just like our beloved Jalal and Jodha. Call it infatuation or whatever but you can't deny they are not far behind from realizing and accepting their love.( I'm very much hopeful and positive about this though yeh to cv's ki marzi se hoga😕)
Earlier Jodha and Jalal had differences in their thoughts and opinions. I can't say they were a perfect couple then. But somewhere later they started to realize and enjoy their differences. And now they have changed for better, though not completely but to a great extent. They are different and yet the same because they complete each other. A loving life partner helps you grow, inspires you to be, do and give the best. Don't you think both Jalal and Jodha have already done this? Now there is mutual respect, a healthy dose of admiration for each other and a never ending potion of love and grace(which is there but yet to come to surface). What more is required? I can say they are on the verge of being a perfect couple or should I say they are already one and only need to realize that????? Such is the power of an extraordinary marriage that makes you transform from the person you were to the marvellous person you are meant to be. Yes Jalal, you are on your way to become Akbar the Great!!!!!
People come to love not by finding a perfect person but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. How true does this sound in case of our Akdha? Jalal had once said Jodha- Aap hum main wo dekh rahi hain jo aap dekhna chahti hain aur ye apne apne nazariye ki baat hoti hai( somewhat like this). Few episodes back Jodha did mention that she was at fault with her drishtikon about Shahenshah. (Now that she knows her Shahenshah, let her even inform us when is she going to be vocal about her feelings)
Few episodes back, Jodha had saved Jalal's life stating it was her kartavya and Jalal was seen begging infront of the Lord for his begum's life(how emotional those episodes were😭 ). But was it only KARTAVYA of Jodha and GUILT of Jalal? Not at all! It was love hidden in kartavya and guilt which came to the forefront to avoid the use of the word love.(though later in that dream wala scene jalal had confessed his love but some zee people said only his soul knows he is in love and not himself...rubbish)It was their pure love which even defeated death.
Its such a pleasure to watch this married couple developing together. Now I can definitely say that I have seen a husband and wife relation getting stronger day by day. And yes I'm very much happy about this positive growth. We always get tensed and worried when it comes to misunderstandings between Jodha and Jalal but what we all need to know and understand is that no relationship is all sunshine. One needs to know how to play in rain so that you can discover the secret of surviving the passing storm together.
Stay hopeful and positive and enjoy each and every stage of their beautiful relationship.😛
Reemi such fabulous post 👏
I loved it and especially these lines which I marked in bold.
PS : I had seen your post but I am using notebook currently (since my laptop has got some heating fan problems), and I could not read such long post with such small lettering. So kept it in mind to read later from tablet where I can increase size.
I have a request, if you can just write in a little bigger font would be really great.
Hope we can somehow increase the font size here also (like we do when we read newspapers online)😊
Great post - you are absolutely right that they have begun to appreciate their differences and they complete each other. That is why I love the tarazu scenes- they show what a perfect balance these two are.
I am looking forward to their journey!
cant agree more ! very good post ans valid points my dear..thanks🤗
Jalal-Jodha relation is very unique. They are so different yet to similar. Reason I say this is
Jalal was initially cruel (Maybe because of Bairam khan and his teaching) but Jodha is so down to earth.
Jalal thinks for brain and Jodha thinks from heart.
Jalal's childhood was full of war, insecurity and not love while Jodha was secure, pampered and grew in a large family with values imbibed.
Jalal is teda and Jodha is straight forward (to the extent that shehas told Ben that she knows her chaals )
But both are Ziddi to the same level.
Both can do anything for their kingdom and extremely loyal to their land.
Relationships matters to both.
They met in very strange situations. Jodha used to hate Mughals(Jalal) to the extent that she wanted to bring down Jalal's head and give it for Kali maa.
Jalal wanted to conquer Rajvanshi's. Though Jalal was mesmerized by her beauty he didn't love her. He wanted to take her to Agra and decorate her haram as a gift from war. So equal hatreds among both for each other.
Jalal didn't leave any chance to humiliate/hurt Jodha and she did not leave any chance for him to do so.
As days progressed, It was Jalal who calmed down a bit(after her brothers saved him and she tried to commit suicide).
Then they moved to hatred to no hate, then friends and now love.
When Jodha tried to commit suicide, Jalal realized what she is going through and both of them are travelling in the same boat. Though they have so many people around the, they can trust neither nor can they say anyone as theirs. I guess he started feeling pity on her and maybe on himself too.
Later, during the Tiger attack he got faith in her. Though she hated him, she saved him. This gave him confidence on her and on Rajvanshi's culture that they would fight a fair war and not backstab.
During Sukanya's marriage - he got to know why Jodha hated him so much. That's because Mughal soldiers had looted Ambe ma temple. He knew she has a valid reason.
During this course, one thing Jodha had realized was, shehenshah will do anything if he has given his word, hence she takes his side when there is a fight between Mughal and the groom on the fort.
During the storm and by the end of fake pregnancy track, Jodha trusts Jalal completely. She now knows to what extent he can go to keep his promise. Along with trust she also knows that he cares for her.
I guess later was her birthday and the present by him , she realized that its just not money but he values people and their interests. So in return for his birthday she presents him people's love as she got the best gift for her birthday.
And as days pass by, they both start liking each other's company as they share similar likes. And their bond grows slowly.
And the BEN track, actually got them more closer.
I actually like this slow and steady pace in their relation because this is what makes sense.(Yes, now they are in love, so want it a bit fast) If they had fallen in love initially then it would not have been love for sure. Because our ziddi leads and their characters needs to be justified.
I loved the ME because, it showed balance in their relation. It used to be always Jodha who used to give bashan's and suggestions to Jalal. I loved the role reverse. This time it was Jalal to Jodha. Isnt it depicted so well, They stand for each other when needed. Isnt it so wonderful that there was a time when Jalal used to find reason to hurt Jodha, now he makes sure in all possible ways that she is not hurt. We know how aggressive he is when it comes to his kingdom and he hates to loose. Yet he called Jodha and made sure that she is not hurt or she is OK if Sujamal is punished. Wanst he relieved so much and agreed too she said punish Suja if he has committed this crime.
