That is true. But this attempt to tarnish Ruqaiya is to make Jodha the only one, to the exclusion of all.
And this is unfair Ash. Discrediting Ruqaiya for the only few good things she does. Then would you call Jodha's Ratanpur Fort Qila stint as braingame too.
Shivaani's fiasco is Bharmal's blunder. So Jodha should not be blamed. Then Ratanpur Qila too is Shariffu's fault. Why should Jalal pay with the fort? Didn't Jodha use her wiles to get her sister's wedding done? It is another thing that Jalal outsmarted everyone else there and came out victor.
***I can understand your concern, but don't let it affect you so much, after all it is serial and we really do not know, if they will really tarnish her so much, maybe Ruq will learn her lesson and mend her ways and will go back to her self of being royal and nice (not sweety though) and doesn't become entirely negative. And about Jodha's kartoot less said the better. I have never liked her bhashans or selfishness and praise about being Ameri all the time. it hurt my ears😡

A few questions

why was Jodha acting surprised on hearing about the tirth-tax?
Weren't her brothers and herself forced to pay when they had gone on their pilgrimage early on?
Why has she not mentioned it to Jalal?

And she waited all the while he was being tied before rushing over to ask permission to reveal his identity?

Not once did she ask how come you do not know about this wretched rule as you claim?
I was so hoping that his being illiterate would be out or atleast in his self thought. But he just sees the shahi mohar
and keeps quiet.

what happened to their entourage btw? They forgot about them and left them in the prison?

How pretty Jodha/Pari was looking in the banjaran outfit. Just fabulous
Was really happy to see Jo also imagining Jalal for a change. Was tired with his one-sided love so far.

Really which hubby reacts to wifey's minor kitchen injury that way? Hmm...

I liked Hamida begam's little chat with Ruq but when Ruq has made up her mind there is little anyone can do to change it

So how did Akbar get injured?
Fighting with the Daku of the place which the chief banjaran had mentioned.

Where does TOdar mal come in?

Does he praise Sher Shah Suri's administration a lot to make Jallu angry (as per precap)?

Lots to look forward to.
PS: Have not gone through the thread so sorry if all these points have been discussed

Cuddly Bear, your first sentence reminded of what Richard Attenborough said when he was invited to play the British Resident in Awadh in Satyajit Ray's Shatranj ke Khilade. He said that he would have come on board even if Ray had asked him to merely read out the telephone book!

@blue. Sandhya has described it the best, but that scene was so achingly full of regret and sadness (not grief). Rajat brought it all out unbelievably well, and in just one brief look, which dissolved into a weary Khair..

RT. I could watch him read the phone book and find something to interest me. The lines written for him are good and I think they work because RT says them. Have to have that special air of being the most powerful man in Hindustan, having the luxury of slowing things down and taking his time standing there, just released from his chains and saying his wife has made him miss out.

QUOTE=adianasr]Waise Shyamala, Sandhya, Tripti, Cuddly Bear, Mandy and all who have been realising how TE is shining thru despite EK's heroine mahaan formula - The entire credit goes to RT and to his dialogue writer, who have made TE shine in an EK - heroine Mahaan serial - TE does get the best dialogues and one liners ever!!! And I have a huge feeling this dialogue writer is definitely Dheeraj Sarna and if so I am neither surprised nor will I now be bothered that TE will loose his shine - Sarna And RT will ensure that Akbar remains Great - Even in an EK show!!!

***As of now, Jalal is in love with Jodha for what she is and not for what Ruq is, he still keeps her in high regards, so what happens in future will not be because Ruq was good or bad, it is because they both love each other. And she giving Chanderi to Salima is because she knows how Jalal feels about Bairam khan and if we all remember, she always said that she plays with her brains and she controls Jalal with her brains. So it is also because of that. And Ruq never feels insecure about Salima, because she knows that Jalal will not fall in love with Salima, as she is BR's widow and he has that respect for her😉.

look we can criticize either of them but at the end of the day all 3 r gud human beings with all their guds & bads. as i said ruku genuinely cared for jalal's baby when hoshiyar told her to kill it. prob is tht just like CVs deliberately showed jalal as a dumb guy, without any logic, few things r also shown for ruku without any proper logic. as i said inconsistencies can be cut down. prob is tht audience is made to believe tht ruku is "kabab mein haddi", but the point is jalal, ruku, jodha r in the same family & at the end of the day all 3 have to stay together happily. so i feel all 3 have to work together to get out of this situation. jalal actually loves both, in diff. ways of course. so i think CVs shouldnt bring ruku down to a cruel person, so tht they can show jalal parting his ways from ruku, & completely dedicates himself to jo. jalal-jodha relationship also had their probs, so even if jalal-ruku relationship runs through probs, the imp. of the relationship shouldnt be lost.

***I agree, but how many of the audience, will be ready to accept kabab mein haddi?? So I think that is the reason they are going as per audience choice as well. We can only hope that, they don't put her so down that, there is no chance for her to come back.

Do you young ladies remember the tale of Laila and Majnu? When Majnu was whipped, the red weals appeared across Laila's back as well.

Jalal and Jodha are not quite at this level of connectedness yet, but they are working towards it.

While we are on this topic, I do not care what anyone else feels, but I love this Seth-Sethani gig, right down to the chapati making without a belan. And the way Jodha sits next to Jalal on that charpoy, one leg bent at the knee and the other folded under her, proferring the rotis and the water. Exactly how a farmer's wife sits down next to her husband in the field and produces his lunch. And watches with proprietary pleasure as he eats it.

How else would we have ever got such charming domestic scenes? They are like a series of stepping stones for Jalal and Jodha to get across a morass of misunderstandings, doubts, lack of faith, and all the malevolent attentions of several denizens of the Agra palace. And reach the other shore, to a genuinely happy togetherness.

🤣 ... Shyamala Akka, when you said Jo will protect Jalal from the lashes. ... I seriously thought you meant from ...The Lashes. Those long lashes that flutter a lot now. Since you also said she's going to hug his back... I thought she's protecting him from seeing The Lashes... Sorry... my thought processes have gone mental... as in skewed mental...
